Daimyon
“Daimyon?!... You gotta wake up Daimyon!” Someone’s calling me but I’m engulfed in darkness. Last I remember I tried to fire the Skywave Cannon and it blew up in my face. I hope that was enough to save us.
“Daimyon?! It’s getting bad out here! I don’t know what to do. But, if you or Chase don’t get up... it’s gonna be game over for a lot of people.” Those words...that voice. It sounds like Daigo but I should be unconscious. Granted this doesn’t feel like being unconscious mostly because you’re not supposed to feel anything.
“I’m gonna try something.” said the familiar voice. A few moments pass then light pierces the darkness. Around me a peaceful space is gradually revealed. An all white chamber with just me in it. Smoke and wind gather in a spot in front of me forming the shape of a person. The person looks like Daigo but you know corporeal.
“I guess I can bring you into this space now.” He says.
“That’s great but I’m generally confused. What is this place? Why do you look like a not spirit version of Daigo and what is actually going on?”
“Let me answer those quickly. The situation outside of here is pretty bad kid. I need you to do something about it. First, this place is the mindscape. It's where I spend my time when I’m not manifested in the real world. Second, I am Daigo. This is what I looked like before I died, I assume since I don’t exactly remember. Lastly, your attack blew up in your face and your arms are particularly bad. They’re basically ribbons of meat attached to your torso at this point. Chase is unconscious and bleeding out and Pip, seeing all of this started going berserk. She’s gonna overflow and probably take out the whole forest with her.” My face scrunches as I express how puzzled I am.
“What can I do about it? If everything you said is right then we’re all dead.” Daigo lowers his head and sighs.
“There’s gotta be something we can do. I’d be a pretty terrible guardian if I let you die like this. Maybe if I-” Daigo places his hand on my chest and closes his eyes. A glow emits from us and the space around us collapses. Suddenly the light of the real world surrounds us.
“I was able to bring us both out. I don’t know how much that’s going to help though. You should be able to see and hear through my senses for whatever that’s worth.” Evaluating the situation around I can definitely say he’s correct. Pip’s face is completely twisted, she’s in pure anguish and I suspect the only reason I can tell is because I don’t have to see through the heat and fire surrounding her. That power is a ticking bomb and it’s gonna explode if something isn’t done soon.

If only Chase was up then maybe he’d be able to provide some kind of solution… that sparks an idea. “Daigo? Can you bring Chase out like me?” He thinks for a moment.
“I don’t know for certain but I can try.” He floats over to Chase and places his hands on him. They start to emit a glow for a moment but then it subsides.
“What happened?”
“I don’t know. I tried to pull him out but nothings happeni-.” Chase starts to glow that familiar glow from when he’s in harmony. His spirit shoots out retaining that bright glow. He takes a moment to collect himself and the glow dims.
“YES! Chase quickly. How do we stop someone from overflowing?” He looks over at Pip grasping the situation.
“The way to stop an overflow is to absorb the excess arcana and then manually suppress the arcana force of the naturalist. But, only someone with a greater arcana force can usually do either of those things. It’s… impossible.” He looks down at his own hands then takes account of everything around him. A light beams from his eyes.
“No. There’s no time for self defeat. Daimyon, Daigo we have to try to manipulate the arcana she’s producing. We might not be able to stop her per se but we can at least stabilize it. That’ll buy us some time at least. Just follow my lead.”
Chase floats over to the sphere of fire arcana that contains our sister. He places his hands on it and the hands of his spirit begin to lose form expanding. As his spirit expands the fire slows down as if time is stopping. Daigo and I go and try to grab hold of the arcana and are instantly pushed back. He looks over at us shaking his head. “You can’t just push the arcana, you have to try and feel it. The objective is to harmonize with the arcana so you can control it.”
“I don’t know if we can do that. You’ve at least had some experience before this.” I respond.
“Self doubt doesn’t look good on you Daimyon. Trust me, you can do it because if you don’t we’re all dead.” That struck me. Something about Chase has changed. We try again taking our time to try and feel our way around and it starts to work. All three of us together start to contain Pip’s power.
“Okay, so now what Chase?” Chase doesn’t lose even the slightest bit of focus as he responds.
“That’s it. There’s no next step. We hold this until we either get saved or it explodes and kills us. Her power is definitely enough for someone to see it or feel it. We just have to believe they’ll get to us fast enough.”
“I’m looking for a little reassurance here Chase. It’s not like all of our lives are being risked on a gamble.” I say with a smirk. Chase chuckles and Daigo looks at us like we’re crazy.
“I’m dead so maybe I don’t get what’s so funny about this.” Chase chuckles a little harder.
“It’s not funny or at least it shouldn’t be. But, that’s exactly what's happening and it doesn’t change what we have to do. If this is it then so be it, but we’re not giving up. Ain’t that right Daimyon.”
“Yep.” I say with a knowing look. The power coming from Pip grows in spite of our efforts. Then time began to slow as the end approaches. This is just like when I fought Hotman J and just like that time the heat started to dissipate. Just like that time Bones is standing above us absorbing this massive power as if it was nothing. We’re saved.
