“Could you please keep the damage to a minimum?” [Stephan]
“Ah Lanny-boy, you’re pretty fast right?” [Tsikee]
“Yes sir” [Lan]
“Then… full speed ahead” [Tsikee]
Stephan and the village chief were a few meters away from me.
I had to face 7 Vattles alone.
Stephan suggested that they should be on standby or for emergency reinforcements but the village chief kept saying that it was unnecessary for me.
I had Sparklight on my right hand and kept my dagger sheathed.
The Vattles were in the furthest cubicle and they were lined up…
I can’t help but let out a chuckle-
“How convenient” [Lan]
I took a runner’s stance with Sparklight leveled over my head.
I imbued arcana to my legs then with a single step-
“WHA!?” [Stephan]
“Phew~” [Tsikee]
After that single step, I imbued most of my arcana to Sparklight.
The electricity it generated was on par with a storm’s lightning bolt and yet my arcana reserves didn’t budge that much.
Before anyone knew it, I was in front of the Vattles and with a single strike-
SLASH

The Vattles’ numbers multiplied by two since they were all cut in half; twice the number and dead as they should be.
Sparklight didn’t feel like a sword, it felt like an extension of my arm, literally.
The beauty it illuminated made all of the weapon’s I saw from noble and highblood vessels look like hand me downs.
Its’ weight was so balanced that it was unsettling.
It felt as if I was handling a beautiful goddess of war at the prime of her being
“Y-Y-Y-You!!! H-H-How?!?! T-Those t-things were like i-impenetrable you know!” [Stephan]
Stephan was in a state I never thought I’d see him in…
“How was it?” [Tsikee]
“Perfect…” [Lan]
“Perfect huh” [Tsikee]
“Perfect’ would be a total understatement” [Lan]
“HAHAHA! Expect no less from the great me! I’m glad you liked it” [Tsikee]
“I’ll forever treasure this!” [Lan]
“Do as you like, it’s yours after all” [Tsikee]
“Yes sir!” [Lan]
“W-With one slash… one…” [Stephan]
And just like that, the weapon’s test for Sparklight was over.
We returned to the village promptly.
Many citizens turned wide-eyed at the rejuvenated village chief, he’s truly loved.
We arrived at the city hall where the village chief was residing
“Do you have any plans Lany-boy?” [Tsikee]
“Plans? To return home, of course” [Lan]
“Well then Lany-boy, stay for a couple of days” [Tsikee]
“Ah, but I wanted to leave as soon as possible. I plan to depart tomorrow at dawn” [Lan]
“Stay a while. A couple of days won’t hurt a few years of your journey to the Narra’s root” [Tsikee]
“! Wait… did you say years?” [Lan]
“Oh? Were you just trailing the road mindlessly? HAHAHA! You are headed in the right direction but you’re way too far to coming close. This place was designed to be a few countries wide to prevent any distraught between the beings living here after all” [Tsikee]
“WHA?! THAT WIDE?! INSIDE PURGATORY?! THIS PLACE?!?!?!” [Lan]
“HAHAHA! Take it easy for a while, a few days won’t hurt” [Tsikee]
“C-Chief! The life is oozing out of Lantern!” [Stephan]
“I-I’ll take you up on that offer… ha ha ha… years…” [Lan]
“HAHA! Good choice Lany-boy! Tonight, we feast to my recovery!” [Tsikee]
“Haaaaaaa… next time I see Ember… she’ll be an adult and I’ll be an unmarried middle aged man… sighhh” [Lan]
“Oh, you don’t have to worry about that. Time doesn’t work here afterall” [Stephan]
“!!! What did you say?!” [Lan]
“Time doesn’t work here. Believe it or not, some people here have lived for a few generations already but none of them grow. The newbloods however, grow to some extent then stop. They usually grow into adulthood” [Stephan]
“Wha? Wha…Wha?!” [Lan]
I forgot something really important about this place… throw away your common sense Lan…
“Ah hahaha is that so? Hahaha okay…” [Lan]
Taking it in isn’t easy but that’s good news.
It’s probably still the day I got in here on the surface, thank Kael!
“Well, just relax and eat your fill tonight Lanny-boy! It’s gonna be grand!”
