The next day after the party, Kai and Cheri found themselves in a Training Ground along with the other heroes. Currently they are observing the knights sparing against each other while the captain of the knights is teaching the heroes how to fight using swords. Some of the heroes were not faring well as they had never held a weapon before in their life. A few tripped and a couple got some cuts here and there. Cheri looked and Kai and whispered to him.

“Typical cliché. Am I right Kai?”

Kai while observing the hero group shrugged his shoulder and replied back to Cheri in a volume where only both of them could hear.

“Eh. With a few more days of practicing they can swing that sword with ease but… I wonder when that captain will take them out for combat.

Cheri clicked her tongue and tilted her head to the left.

“Same goes for us. As soon as we figure out what changed had occurred to us. That goddess looked at me and you both. She did not give us a cheat ability however she left us with a confusing statement. ‘You two, your ‘souls’… Those body. Hm... It should be fine. That will be your abilities. Good Luck.’”

Cheri continued clicking her tongue. Kai knew that she is irritated when she is not given a clear answer. The fact the goddess statement is unclear made it the more reason for both Kai and Cheri to practice using their avatar’s body.

“Hero Cheri. We brought the ‘things’ you requested for.”

A group of knights arrived carrying wooden dummies plank and knights armor. Cheri stood up and motioned the knights to follow her.

“Good. Now follow me and place the dummies here, here and there.”

When she reached a vacant part of the Training Ground, she started pointing her fingers at places to plant the dummies.

“And Mr. knights. Make sure to suit up the dummies with the armor and helmet.”

Cheri waved to Kai to come over. As Kai was making his way over, the knights were done setting up. The knights made their way back to the spot where Kai was resting, Kai and the knights made a brief eye contact. Out of habit, Kai nodded his head once. That was his way of saying thanks. When Kai reached Cheri’s position, he saw the formation of the dummies is close to identical to the formation that both he and Cheri went through back in the ‘Training Compound’ in Battlefield 2142:Redux.

The front row is orderly lined up with 500 dummies which is consistent of how army’s operate back in the Medieval era. Behind the formation was an encirclement dummies group and to the right and left were dummies reinforcement. At the back of the encirclement was scattered dummies indicating a broken and scattered formation.

“Whoa. She literally thought out close to everything.”

Kai leaked out his thought which Cheri heard. She gave Kai a playful slap at the back of his head.

“I’m a historian major. What did you expect!?”

Cheri laughed while Kai is still dumbstruck at the near perfect scenario formation.
