"...And so, in conclusion, your honor, my client has been thoroughly betrayed by his wife. That is all."
Jim, Sebastian's lawyer, sat down. With a grim look on his face, the judge said, "As your wife was a dependent, with no actual property to her name, you may keep all of the worldly possessions inside of your home and workplace. You are, however, required to pay a one-time sum of 10,000 US dollars to Olivia Fernost, formerly Olivia Drake. Your court fees are 790 dollars." With a crack, the judge brought down his gavel. "Dismissed!"
Sebastian heaved a sigh. It was over, finally. With that thought firmly in mind, he stood up, shook hands with Jim, and walked out of the courtroom. He completely ignored his former wife, who was glaring at him, as if it was his fault she was unfaithful. He strode towards the check-in booth opposite the courtroom door. After paying his dividend, he started towards the door.

"Sebastian, wait!" Olivia cried. "I'm your wife! You can't do this!"
"I can, and I have. Do I need to get a restraining order too?"
"B-but..."
"We're done, Olivia. Accept it, and move on."
"Fuck you!" Olivia screamed, sticking her hand into her purse, and pulling out a pistol. "Die, asshole!"
She got off a single shot, before a security guard tackled her. But that was enough. Sebastian lay on the ground, a perfectly circular hole right above his heart. Crimson life-blood slowly seeped across the floor. His last thoughts were *Not like this! Why did it end like this!"
