Prologue: Apotheosis Rising

One of the greatest questions humans as a species have asked since the beginning, what makes a man a man, is it in their words, or is it in their actions. Their convictions and dedication to their cause, or their capacity for care and compassion to others. For a group of four fallen angels they must learn this the hard way through their trials and tribulations, hunting the creatures of the night to regain their status amongst the heavens, however they learn  that there is so much more to their fight than they could ever imagine, an unprecedented evil looms over the world, causing the surge of monsters once thought to only exist in folklore to erupt across the world. Now it falls to them to save the world from the horrors of the night, at first they do so out of the selfish desire to get back home with their fellow angels, but slowly they come to appreciate the merits of humans, as they come together with a select few to form a group whose name strikes fear into all those beasts of darkness, now the tale shall be told, the tale of four outcasts who push back against evil, and learn what it truly means to be part of one of the greatest constructs  of human society, a family, brothers and sisters not of blood, but of one common bond.
