"What is it Ivan, we won the war, yet you brood"
"We did win Cantelope, but we lost the battle"
"No limits whatsoever can be imposed on those scheming Orders, their help in securing our victory gave them free reign, an agreement I now regret"
"That is the price of borrowed power King Ivan, it always comes due"
Conversations on the result of the fracture wars between King Ivan and General Cantelope of the Black domain of Cypri.
As Adam stepped fully within three meters of the Monolith, his view expanded rapidly, different information ran across his consciousness, just out of reach as it interpreted them.
From knowledge to tools, potions, weapons, abilities, bloodlines, boons, perks and so on, each category further branches into multiple subsections. Mortal, Metaphysical, Supernatural, Mythical, Divine, Cosmic.
But first, he wanted to see what this thing had to say about his abilities. As if reading his mind his information was displayed.
Name: Adam croft
Human[base][ Top Athlete +]
Powers: Psychic [ Telekinesis(Pseudo Absolute)
, Telepathy][Soul mastery [Fledgling]
Psion energy: 500 units
Lifeforce energy: 5 units
The pseudo absolute tag after his telekinesis confused Adam. He expressed his thoughts to get more information pertaining to it.
According to the Monolith, the tag Absolute means having complete and utter control over an ability to being able to use it in a way that is normally impossible. It also ignores boundaries and limits. An Absolute can basically output a power of a thousand even if the limit on their energy is a ten. They could also manipulate reality easily if their power belongs to those that affect the world like telekinesis. A telepathy Absolute would be able to give give life to things around them.
But his own was Pseudo, not there yet but close enough. He had tested his telepathy and it was normal compared to the monster that was his telekinesis.
The Psion energy equates to the amount of juice in his tank, his was quite high although it is due to his practice when he still used the Psi bridge. While Lifesource refers to his vitality, stamina and all physical related capabilities. A peak human would have 5 as theirs and above that is already in the superhuman domain.
Adam considered expanding points into his body, the experience of not being able to use his full strength because of his weak physique still irked him somewhat, he sought to remedy that. Surprisingly, Basic points could be used to increase his Lifesource. It costs a hundred points to bring him to six and a thousand to bring him to seven in lifeforce energy. The increase was exponential the higher the tally. He took a thousand Bpts and consented to the trade of having his stats raised.
The effects were immediate, raw strength coursed through his body in waves, his muscles swelled like a bodybuilder, then it deflated. He looked sculpted to perfection with bulges of muscles in perfect proportions across his body.

He felt capable of bending steel with his hands and jumping ten feet high. Most importantly was the feeling of him having minute control over his body muscles and the clarity of his vision and increased computation power. What would take him seconds to deduce would now take a quarter of the time. A significant increase.
As he checked the cost to purchase the next increase in Lifesource energy, he was astounded. It costs ten thousand Bpts to increase it by a single point.
Clearly it was frowned upon by whatever manages this place, likely the Administrator to just dump points into stats. He had nine thousand bpts remaining, a thousand short of adding another point to his Lifesource.
Unwilling to accept this loss, he swept through the category that his advanced point could be spent on.
Checking on the body augmentation category like bloodlines, physiques, race change, genetic engineering, an endless type of bloodlines occupied his view from the more common vampire, werewolf to more obscure ones like anunnaki and so much more.
There were also different types of physiques with each of their focus different from each other. The racial change was even more extreme, some would change the race of the individual to something else not resembling human in appearance while others would look human on the surface but the anatomy would be different. The genetic engineering aspect would do as it is interpreted, modify genes or augment with machine components.
After spending time going through the unending list, even though he had excluded all enhancement above his advance points limits, he still wasn't able to reach the end, but what he had seen so far had ignited his excitement. His gaze paused as it landed on a physique. The Deviant Sovereign physique. It was a mythical grade physique but it had lower grades and the lowest was the Deviant Baron priced at a thousand and five advanced points. Its benefits include intellect, mild strength, endurance and Lifesource manipulation. What attracted him was actually the Lifesource manipulation ability that the physique could grant. For a total of three thousand seven hundred advanced points, he purchased the Deviant Viscount physique, a grade above the entry level Deviant Baron.
The Monolith prompted him if he would like the physique integrated with his body at the moment but he refused. After what seemed like a long time, he saw an ability this time. It wasn't a physique nor bloodline or genetic engineering related, it was a pure ability. It had a simple function, it would provide the user with the ability to split their minds, depending on how powerful their mind was. Each split mind could take on different tasks in the user's body.
This ability greatly appealed to him and countless possibilities he could utilise to boost his capabilities surfaced in his mind. He purchased it for a thousand advanced points, putting his advanced point balance to nil.
Mentally affirming his choice, he signaled to begin integration. Immediately, a deep thrum went through his body and mind in an instant, then light manifested around the Monolith, it rushed into Adam's body that had begun floating midair at a certain point in time. Like a flood, the light consumed him for a whole minute. Then when the last of the light entered him, his body gently floated down.
His hair was a deep shade of black, blacker than night and it had grown long, almost reaching his waist. What more, he had grown an extra three inches, making his height an impressive six feet two inches.
Most noticeable of the changes was his face, he looked devilishly handsome, his lips light shade of red.
But all these outward changes paled in comparison to strength in his body, his Lifesource had gone as high as fifteen units. He felt he would have no trouble grappling with the Brutes in his trial world.
His intellectual prowess had also gone up, his vision felt like it had an upgrade from 3gp to Hd Ultra as he could see details from a far distance quite clearly.
Bringing his right hand close to his face, he willed Lifesource energy into it. An amber gaseous substance materialized in his hand, slowly he shaped it to take on different shapes and also compressing it to make it a bit congealed. Going from a gaseous state to malleably solid.
The physique came with information on how to manipulate Lifesource energy, it could even be combined with other types of powers, effectively improving the quality of that power.
Satisfied with the physique he tested out the effect of the mind splitting ability. Immediately, his consciousness seemed to congeal then split into two and split again into four. Four was the limit of his consciousness. Satisfied with it, he looked to where Zero was and found him gone. He had been so engrossed in examining what was available in the Monolith that he had wasted a lot of time.
Remembering Richard's comment about training, he headed back to his room. There was a function he was going to try, he would make a portion of his room a training ground able to withstand his telekinesis, he need to put the modifications to work seamlessly with his abilities.
