As requested by the Chief Detective, I am forwarding you the item PIP-1516 found during our investigation of Mister Ioann Voors' disappearance, case NF-412.
The item in question is a leatherbound journal with several dozens of entries made by hand. It was found three days after the incident, in the same train wagon from which the alleged victim disappeared. It is unknown when the item was placed inside.
With the cooperation of our Interpol colleagues, we have confirmed the calligraphy to be identical to the one used by him during his university years.
We have also confirmed that the first page's contents are true facts and details about his life.
Doctor Kazuhira has analyzed the entire contents and provided a full report (E-2pf) in which he concludes it to be written in a sane manner and sure script.
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
As for Doctor Maruhito, he concluded (Report E-5d) that it may be considered as a work of fiction rather than a possible affliction of the disappeared.
The contents do not contain any clues to the current location of Mister Ioann Voors.
It should be added that another page followed the current last entry, but it was damaged by some kind of low-alcohol beverage (expertise has confirmed it to be beer) and regretfully during the attempt to reconstruct it, the page was destroyed. In its place, a photo (marked PIF-2) of the original has been sent alongside this letter. Still, the contents can not be read because they are written in a strange language or cipher that none of our experts could translate.
I sincerely hope that in case any clues to Mr. Ioann Voors' current whereabouts are found, you will notify the Fukuoka P.D.
Kobayashi Hayato
Detective

A few days ago I was contacted by my friend, Mr. Shiro, who asked me to help him with a case he is currently working on.
As you know, Mr. Shiro has been investigating the instances of people being spirited away (disappearing without trace) for a few years. This time, he requested my assistance as a journalist of the Online Media Group to both publish the story and attempt to find anyone who can provide any information.
Though before anything else, I have to say that the case is a bit special. Especially the fact that a written account by the supposed victim was found on the place he disappeared from. One could think of it as a joke or a trick to get attention as the writings look akin to a work of fiction... But neither the police nor Mr. Shiro has been able to locate the supposed victim or find at least a single hint of him.
During the next few days, I will be publishing this "journal".
As always, any information or clue that may lead to the resolution of the case will be appreciated and remunerated.
