My name is David Straub. I was born on August 19th, 1974 in the USA on what I later learned was a mostly average and unremarkable Earth. An average and unremarkable Earth? Yep, it turns out that Multiverse theory is at least partially correct, there is an uncountable number of universes out there, and just about everything you can imagine exists out there somewhere.

The Earth and universe I was born into was average and unremarkable in every way except when it came to technology, magic, and connectivity. In most places magic and technology balance one another, where one is high the other is low. On my home Earth, magic and other supernatural power sources are as low as they can get while still supporting life as we know it. Technology both current and potential were only above average and connectivity was both super high and unstable. What is connectivity you ask? It is how "close" other universes are and how easy it is to connect to them. My home Earth was insanely close to an ever-changing random pool of other universes and if the connections to these other universes weren't so unstable people, places, and things would be randomly transferring from one to another all the time. Déjà vu is when you and a near alternate of you switch places. As it was, many people could see into other universes in dreams and artistic inspiration was often caused by our unconscious mind catching glimpses of other universes. I didn't use the word insanely lightly as people who could see into other universes consciously tend to go insane.
