'Did the god really reset both the timeline and my status?'
Checking the credibility of that messages, I browsed back to my status window and trying to confirm if that the system messages is telling the truth.
I blinked my eyes to see if I'm not hallucinating to what this window displayed.
I was shocked to this unbelievable dropped to my own status which made my face Looks pale.
Livia worriedly asked me.
"what's wrong?"
"Well, my status went back to the start."
I honestly told her.
"Huh?"
Livia knotted her eyebrows while she doubting my words.
"Aren't you already level 75? So how could you said that it turned back to level 1?"
She said to me.
"H-how do you--, right, you might also have that..."
Feeling surprised to her statement, she only sneered at me which probably peeking through my status.
She finally believe to what I says.
"you're right, your level and status did changed back to level 1. Let me check my status too"
Livia then silently stare at the air and then confirmly said.
"Mine also returns back to its previous state. Why is this happening?"
She then seriously took a deep thought but before she gone into her own world, I informed her about the notification. No choice but to trust her for this info since she also have the same system as mine.
"I received a notices from the system saying that 'The world's timeline has been reset' and my level too."
She seems baffled hearing the message.
"H-Huh, is it true!?"
She found the situation impossible but then something clicked into her mind and made her eyes wide open. She order me to follow her.
"let shall go and meet the king right away!"
She ran outside the room in haste. I shouted to her.
"Wait a second..."
A thought came in, if the timeline was reset, then everyone might not remember me being summoned, and as a hero too any longer.
'If they really doesn't remember anything, then why the both of us retained our memories?'

Livia quickly opened the door by herself and called the king.
"Your majesty!"

She quickly walk until reaching a certain distance from the throne.
The king whose talking to someone was stopped by her noises. He didn't get angry instead he gave a smile and asked her.
"Livia, what's the matter? Why're you panicking entered the room?"
"May I know what happened to the demon lord's forces?"
She asked.
The king looks confused while listening to lady Livia. He's trying to understand everything she say after that but he can't in the end.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Isn't the demon lord and his army were defeated 10 years ago? And since then, no one see them coming back and forming an army again."
'10 years ago? Thats already a decade'
I thoughts so while listening to their conversation. I didn't notice that the king was already looking at me. I hastily bowed to him.
'It confirmed by his and everyone looks that everyone really did not remember a single thing about me.'
Back to the king, he looks much younger compared to the first time I met him. But his eyes, it is the same full of energy.
While Livia is in deep thought, the king suddenly ask her.
"By the way, may I know who is this young man that followed you here?"

She say to him.
'Student? Well technically speaking, the king previously ordered her to teach me about combat and the god choose her too. So I will not going to refute that one.
I again bowed and say my In Game Name.
"Your majesty, I'm Zero. Her new student."
She then introduced him to me.
"Zero, this is king Philip Von Arthuria, the current king of Athea's kingdom.
"Is this your first time in this capital?"
He ask. I nod in confirmation.
"Hoo~"
He put his right hand above his lip while thinking of something. He said with a eased expression.
"Since you're here under by Livia, then I must concluded that you're a trustworthy person."
He closed his eyes and smiled.
'So the king trusted her that much, huh'

After we exit the room, she says to me.
"It looks like we traveled back 18 years from that day."
"18 years?"
I repeated that word then suddenly, I remember I have an age on my stat. I rechecked my age to see if it changed. It was turned back from 35 to 18 years old.
"It really is 18 years."
I said so with my sight locked on my own status. Then at that moment, I shifted my view to her to look if she changes too. I found her body and face didn't changed that much.
"Why do you look the same as that first day I saw you?"
Asking while looking for the difference.
She answered me.

I only fix my stare at her but she only smiled at me then walked back to the library.

I remember that there was a message from god.
I opened it see what's the content.
[For My beloved Hero,
I wanted to firstly apologize for the inconvenience I caused to your status. I shall tell you what really happened and your mission.
The reason I reset the world was due to the evil force did a mass extinction leaving only a few kind of creatures to their brink of extinction.
In the attempt of resistance from the mistakes, they summoned another hero which turned out to be you. Who I personally choose from the earth. But they're quite late as the situation were already at a worst possible outcome. it then leaves me no choice but to resort on this kind of method'

I reset some parts of your status because of the time paradox your existence created and causing the timeline to be in strained. However, the changes greatly lower the damage inflicted by matching your setting to the current timeline and allowing the shifts branch; creating a new timeline other than that scenario.

I keep staring at this message and then decided to call Livia.
"Lady Livia, did you got any messages from the god?"
She uninterested answer.
"I haven't received anything, why?"
I mindlessly told her.

I stated what's the content to her.
"Well, it said that the god reset the world because almost all life form will cease to exist if the situation continued."
"Is that so?"
She really unfazed from the content of the messages.
"Eii, isn't this a catastrophic situation? Aren't you worried that this world might end?"
I anxiously asked her.
She gave me a sigh and say while recalling the previous time.
"I'm worried you know. We already knew what our current situation in.
Remember that time when you found me sitting in a corner with tons of books stacked around myself?"
I nodded at her.
"At that time, we already at wit's end. So I searched another way for us to survived on that apocalyptic event while the king gamble again and tried to use that summoning magic to summoned another hero."
She said while remembering that event.
I curiously asked her.
"Another way? You guys have some trump card up in your sleeve?"
She confidently smile at me.
"Yeah, however, using 'that' already make the situation not different from 'letting other died and still refusing to use it until the end'. It is correct that we can end the problem from using 'that' but it doesn't make what we're doing were right since everyone already suffer from our chained bad decision-making."
I refute by telling her this.
"Isn't better to start anew while looking at your previous failures and makes it to power the future for the better?"
"Well, You can say that we are finding some means of justification to do it in right and some alternative ways but we knew deep down that it was already at the point of no return. A hopeless situation where everyone can only dream off is to stop it already and begin another new life."
She muffled it on last part and look down but return herself in relief in a minute.
"But god gave us another chances to fix our mistakes. This is a miraculous news which can only be celebrate, at least, by the two of us who remember that day."
Livia genuinely hoping for the good future.
Suddenly, I made a mistake and pour some cold water on her.
"How about the hero? It seems like the kingdom summoned a hero before me, right?"
She make a sour face and went back to work. She answer me.
"I got the news that the summoned 4 heroes we summoned were not only failed at their duty, but also a trash that doing whatever they want and even help the demon races to attack everyone."
"Ohh."
I shut my mouth while she continue to talk.
" 'They did not even listen to the cries of my people' they said and happily watch us suffer. Well, they got what they deserve. The demon race backstab them and their attributes and skills didn't work anymore. They went and died in the end."
It seems like they summoned a wrong people. Another thought came in.
"Wait, why didn't the king do the resummoning much earlier if he's doing it anyway later? The message said that he did that quite later."
"Well, the failure hit everyone harder and the common people hit the hardest. So we want to take a precaution. It make us a lot of time to do another but proper summoning that the god blessed and the king were thinking if they want to do it again and bear another responsible in the case of failure."
She said with a painful expression.
'So it was partially at their fault too'
Then I remember the last part of the message, I inform her about it.
"Oh right, the god also said that you will be the one to guides me here in this world."
She looked slightly surprised.
"Really?"
I undoubtedly told her.
"Yeah, your name was written on the message. This is what the god stated in this messages" and I read the whole message for her.
Afterward, she seems to be enlightened as her face turned brighter.
"Oh how nice~, I'm already thinking that when my memories were not erased too, it might be the god intention."
She confidently and happily said so while preparing the necessary things we needed.
By the way, we decided to depart on a journey as soon as possible because at a few reason. Like, the possibility of much earlier start of the invasion due to our intervention in timeline and the places where it should be begin. She apparently knows where and when will all of that started. So we decided to make a move in haste and quickly go on a journey as soon as possible.
Livia was already prepared the reason for her leave her post. It was under the pretext of giving her student an actual survival experiences.
She say while looking at me with a strange expression.
"I hope you have prepared yourself to suffer, my dear student~"
I only smile wryly.
I used the function on the system and added her prevent her from taking the position of party leader.
