V01 CH 01 : Begining
When I woke up, I look up and see the sky. The clouds move ever so slowly with the gentle winds. I stand up and patted all dirt off of my Arabian Style Robe. As I look around, I can see a grassland and mountain just north from here. It feels somehow like being in the countryside.
Just where am I?
I remember last night, after I had met up with my friend, I walked straight to my house then I just went to bed. However, when I awoke, I ended up here.
I pushed myself off the ground and started to view my surroundings. After some time, I can see a road made of dire, but when you get up close to the dirt road, you can see a tire track from it, but this tire track is somehow different than a car tire.
But, at least I know that if I follow this track, I may meet up with other people.
I decide to walk toward west and follow the road.
“I wonder if I'll meet people along the road.” Somehow, I start to feel excited and I think that is weird considering my situation.
After a while walking, I can see some smoke rising up in the distance. Maybe if I go there, I can meet some people and find out where I am.
Well, it's settled, I decided to seek out the smoke and its creators.
----- Scene Change -----
Yup, it's a village, a small village. I can see people taking care of the fields and hear the joyous laughter and shouting from children playing nearby.
One of that kids notices my presence, and starts to tell the other kid, and now all of them are looking at me with a curious look on their faces.
Like a hyena that has found its prey, all of them start running toward me. Geh!!! Why did they start running at me?! Also, is it just me or does two of those children have pink hair and green hair?
Although those color suits them, but still, pink hair and green hair? It's the first time I have seen such a hair color.
“Mister are you a priest,” asked the pink hair girl.
“Do people at the capital eat bread? And if they do, do they eat soft bread or hard bread,” asked the green hair boy.
“Hey, you from the capital city, You must be rich right,” Said the black hair boy with his face full of smiles. The last child, though, she just hides behind the black hair boy and her face look almost brought into tear. She also has black hair, are they are siblings?
“Anna, Phill, Dennis, stop fooling around, you are making the priest uncomfortable with those silly questions of yours. Try copying Marina, despite her curiosity, she hasn't asked a silly question like you guys.” An aunty suddenly spoke up from behind. Despite her word, her eyes were filled with warmth. Her hair was a dark red hair.
“Yes aunty Carla,” said Anna, Phill, and Dennis.
After that, they just started running and playing next to the fields again.
“Sorry Mister Priest. They rarely see any strangers, let alone someone from a capital city like you."
She then frowns her brow a little, then look at me like some judge from miss universe.
Soon after, she claps her hand once and brought a smile to me, then speak to me with a gentle voice.
"I think the reason you came here today is to meet with our village chief right? Come with me, I will guide you to his house. It isn't far, just a moment away.”
What just happen? And what is this priest thing? Why would she call me a priest? “Uhhhh, about the priest thing you said earlier, do you mean me,” I asked while follow her from behind.
“You silly, of course I'm talking about you. Just the robe has already revealed your identity as a priest. Back at the capital, we see the priest wearing such robes at the Church.”
After that, I tried asking her various question, but I still haven't gotten enough information about where I am. I really want to ask her about my title though, but again, I am afraid that if I ask her some weird question, she might doubt that I'm not a priest. Right now, what I need is information.
I keep asking her question about this village and various question about the kid that I had just met before. Without knowing, we had already arrived at the Village Chief's house.
It's a simple house with 2 floor made of wood. Aunty Carla then shouted that the priest from the capital city just arrived.
Soon the door open and a man in his mid 40s can be seen. He is quite muscular for a village chief. His hair ,however,is blonde and if I look at it closely, his eyes are blue. What a blonde.
Aunty Carla bid me her farewell and said that she was going back. The Village Chief then asked me to come in to have a meal with him. While we ate, the Village Chief introduced himself to me. Apparently, his name is Marlow.
I was a bit hesitant to mention my name, so I just say that my name is Musa.
Just after I finish my meal, Marlow suddenly kneels, dogeza style, right in front of me.
What is this? Wh-why he kneels like this? “Ummm, Marlow?” I call his name with a bit of hesitation.
“Please, please Priest Musa, please cure my daughter. She is the only family member I have left, please help me.” He kneels before me while pleading his request to me.
Geez, what now? Should I tell the truth that I'm just a random guy who need help but somehow get mistaken as a priest? Well, I am really grateful that you are giving me a meal just now, but I'm not a priest and from the start, what is a priest? Is it some kind of character from a game that have a staff and use a heal spell?
“Umm, about the priest thing, you see...” I mean, come on, believe me, I think it's better to tell the truth now before it gets too hard to tell the truth later. “I'm not a priest, I'm just a servant of god that just happened to pass by this village.”
Alright, I just told the truth. I'm ready for the worst scenario, but at least, this misunderstanding couldn't get worse.
“Oh, how humble, I have heard that the priests in the capital are different than the priest in other regions. They like to help people without minding about their titles and status. To think one of them has come here. Ooh, I feel so honored to be able to meet you.”
It's just getting worse! Why has this misunderstanding become worse? Even though I just told him the truth, but all is done was back stabbed me instead. “Um, you know that I'm not really a Pri-“
“Please, Priest Musa, please help my daughter. At least, just check her if her illness is fine. Please, I don't have anyone to relay on, but you,” Marlow said it while still kneeling.
What now? He just asked me to check his daughter's illness, right? If it's just a minor illness, then I may be able to help her. After all, I'm from a place filled with knowledge.
Okay then, I have decided to see her first and if it's too much for me to handle, then I can just say “This requires a much higher ranked priest to cure her." Okay I've got his.
“Raise up your face Marlow. I will try to examine your daughter's condition first, but if her illness is too great, even I cannot save her.”
“Oh, thank you very much Priest Musa. Come, come, this way.”
----- Scene Change -----
Alright, behind this door is Marlow's daughter. Please God, please make it a cure able illness, please, I'm begging you.
Marlow opened the door, and the first thing I see is a girl, a girl that shines almost like a diamond from the light that emerge from the windows. What a beautiful sight.
