"Oh heroes that has been summoned to our world please help us in repelling the threat of the demons and help us defeat the demon king"

What a very cliché line. The standard line you will see in reading various fantasy novels when the MC gets summoned to another world and become a hero.

Let's go back from the start. I was just walking on a park and suddenly a blinding light swallowed me and bam here I was in front of the king hearing that standard cliché line.

Looking around it looks like I was not the only one summoned there was 5 boys and 6 girls all in all there are 12 of us here.

Only a couple of people were calm. I too wont be calm if you were just doing something then just get summoned out of nowhere but because of reading of to many fantasy novels I got over pretty fast.

"So heroes will you lend us your strength" the king spoke again.

Because most of us were kinda shocked and bewildered I took the liberty to talk.

"Uhmm... You must be the king of this kingdom right?" I spoke to the king sitting on the throne.

"Oh... I forgot to introduce myself I am Arthas Luminous Histoire The king of Luminian Kingdom"

Looks like I'm not wrong... Well of course I wont be wrong just like all fantasy type summoned hero genre if it isn't the king it would be the princess that would greet us it would be like 40% king, 40% princess, 20 % prince that 20 % you can just throw it in the garbage can.

"I'm sorry for the rude gestures King Arthas Luminous Histoire" I said

"No its okay it should be us who should be sorry for summoning you but we are in a dire situation so there's no other option and also just call me King Arthas"

"Okay King Arthas, my name is Vel Evilis as you have already said you just have summoned us without prior warning and most of us are scared and others still shock I might be acting calm here but I'm the same as them. First let me ask a question"

Phew... I'm getting cold feet here I'm talking to a king like it was nothing but inside I'm shaking oh god hope I didn't offend him or else my head might be rolling on the floor now.

The king looked straight into my eyes. Oh shit is this it will I die now. I look straight in to my eyes without flinching it took years of my life doing that.

"Ok go ahead ask Hero Vel"

Phew... Close call well I have to have guts here wrong move and head is on the floor now. I have read many fantasy stories and there are even parts where the summoned heroes get enslaved and sometimes get used as sacrifice. Lets just hope this is the typical hero summoning.

"Is there a way for you to send us back"

Bam there I dropped it. this is the most standard line that the summoned hero might say.

"Well there is but we cant send you back now. I know that most of you are anxious now but let me tell this you were summoned here out of your will for that I am sorry. But I will accommodate all of you to live in this world until you defeat the demon lord and repel the demons cause that is the only way for you people to go back to your own world that's the contract created by the goddess"

Wow so its something like that huh... I already saw it coming but I guess that's it. The only way to go back is defeat the demon lord.

"I see so the only way is to defeat the demon lord and all of us will be able to go back to our own world. But you know looking at us we are just weak humans you know"

"When you got summoned here the Goddess bestowed blessing upon you heroes"

Another standard thing when you get summoned. Lets analyze it all standard summoning, standard goal, powers given by a goddess. Yup all the pieces is now on place.

I look around... Wait why are there only 5 of us left.

"Wait why are there only 5 of us left? There should be 12 of us right" I started having a cold sweat does this mean that we will all be enslaved wait look back to what I have been doing. I was talking to the king and lights suddenly flashed through my left and right and wait a sec. Light flashing?

"They are taken by the goddess for the baptism and that's where you will get your ability to fight"

"And that happened while we were talking"

"That should sum it up"

After that some of us got taken by the so called goddess again and I was the only one left.

"Uhm... King all of them were taken why am I left here?"

"I dont know about that too..."

... A few hours have passed and the people that was gone suddenly appeared on the hall again. 11 of them. And a boy with golden hair spoke.

"King Arthas I got the gist of whats happening the goddess explained it to us as long as we defeat the demons we will be able to go back or stay here if we wanted"

"Looks like the goddess already spoke to you all"

"Yes you highness"

??? What the hell they spoke to the goddess and I was left behind I'm getting a bad very bad premonition here.

"Ok guards take this person named Vel and throw him in the underground prison"

"What the hell !!!"

"I got suspicious of you why are you asking of so many questions and after that you were not taken by the goddess you must be a spy among the heroes that was planned by the demons"

"I got summoned the same way as them why must I be treated like this"

The other summoned heroes just watched as I got taken by the guards. The king was looking at me with hostility.

Fuck fuck fuck... Am I gonna be one of those summoned heroes that will take revenge or one that would take the demons side.

Just fuck
