*__* thought

I opened my eyes feel dizzy and trying to get up only to greeted by a voice..

“Easy boy, your wound still fresh, the stitches will be ruined if u move too quick” suddenly a big hand touch my back, hold me steady at the end of the bed. 

 “My mother, where is my mother? Where are we ?”

I try looking to the eyes of Big man Mark.

“We are  at northen south continent in the country of Zugouryou”

I don’t ever heard about the word Zugouryou, heck I don’t know anything about the fast world. The 6 year of life i only stayed in my Home country Makryaz, some where at the Middle earth, the central continent of the earth.

“Before we talk again, I guess we need to eat something yeah?”

And just like that Mark gone out from our room, taking something to eat may be. I looked over the room, there 2 bed, 1 drawer and one mid size chest. Two out fit hanged at the door and one glass window with bar covered. I try to peek out side, I only see empty road and there and somewhere stores not yet opened. Tough small light already come from the sun, people not yet goes around, besides it were too cold this morning that’s why I cant see nobody outside.

Mark come back carrying a tray with two bowls of something and 2 glass of water.

“Lets not wait till the broth cold, they are very delicious when taken from the pot”

Mark handed me a spoon and start digging the broth him self, eat  like there’s no tomorrow .

*The broth were indeed delicious,  very rich and had a gentle warm when I gulp them*.

 Mark look at me silently eat my broth as he already finish him self.  I gulped the water when I finish my broth.

 “ Assam, you have passed out about three days,  I really afraid of losing you since my medic skill really suck, but finally you are awake today !”.

 I touched my right hand and try to rub the bandage slowly, the stinging pain was bearable and no blood seep trough, the same thing goes for my left leg,  so I guess everything alright.  

“My mother, where is my mother what happened to her?”  finally I said that to Mark.

“Let me explain what has been happened since you are passed out..”

 He answered calmly and walk to window. 

“Your village, no our village were wipe out,… I cant really say why they are attacked us, since we are basically  on the cease fire agreement. That night I came back from central province only to find the village razed with the enemy to the brim. They killed everyone on the sight, I found your father  and some other villager trying to counter the invader. He command me to set out the escape tunnel since main road already blocked and teleport station has been jammed make it cannot working properly. I opened out the tunnel behind the temple and pick out here and there the remaining villager”.

“You and your mother was supposed to be the last one I have to guide for the tunnel , but…I guess I can only take one of you at that condition. Your mother was rendered to move with her wounds all over the body, if we take her with us, I cant say what happen to you right now. I really sorry to say but I think  both of your parent are no longer with us…”.

 All information about that night struck me hard, tough I feel really sad losing my mother and da, not even single tear drop from my eyes. Trembling and dizziness goes to my head

 “Can you leave me alone a moment?...”

I asked to Mark. He just nod silently and gone out of the room. I dropped my body to the bed, not caring about stinging pain in my bandages, and finally drop some tears at the pillow.

*Mom... da....*

 My da always told me whenever he found me cries because whatever happened before, said

” A man can’t let his tear out to everyone since your enemy will recognize that as your weakness, your friend see you in pity and your family will lose the courage to stand,  a tear can only flow out when you pray to the god, since no other  being stronger than the god”.

Remember what my da said,  I sit down and raise my hand slowly make a silent pray to the god.

“Oh the most power full and mercy,  I don’t know why you take my parents suddenly, I only hope you gather both of them in your heaven, oh the most wise I hope you to guide me through this misery, give me a sight that allow me to take the best way available, the best way in your mercy..”

My tears flow out as I pray, and I cant hold them whatsoever, not I care them much any way, I alone in this room. I wipe my face with the bed cover and try to find Mark outside of our room.

Mark already standing at the corridor, tough look in deep thought about something.  Then he noticed me already open the door,

“Oh Assam you are done? Lets take a bath first…."

He then take some clothes from the chest and take me to the bath downstairs.  After we refreshed from our bath Mark look at me and says

“We will go to my colleague here, until we make to his place we must remain unnoticed and make no sound as much as possible”,

I gave him quick nod and he packed our thing unto small bundle and make our way out of the inn.

 Out side the inn I take a glance at  the inn name “Narfus Road”,  the empty road before  already filled with many kind of folks, dazing in awe Mark gave me a small hush and I dare not take up my head any more. About one hour after we arrived at station look alike. There so many carriage parked here with many ornament and different flag. Mark told me to stay while he goes to the counter, a moment later he take me to a small looking carriage, with no one inside. After told something to the rider in front, we make our way  trough the street.

I look outside the window, and see the peaceful road, crowded with many races I don’t ever see until now, and many shop and vendor with interesting thing around. Half a day in the road, crossing a small hill, and make away after the bridge we finally arrive at some mansion. Give a small bow as thanks to the driver, Mark lead us to the grand Torii. Walk across a heavenly garden and lovely fountain we arrived at the front door. A guard standing there and ask us

“State your name and business”

 Mark hold a small golden plaque and immediately  the guard bowed and said

“Master of the house were available please proceed to the inner building”.

Like already master in his house Mark lead the way inside the room and trough many turn we found small door with some scribe at the door. He then knocked twice carefully. An inside sound startle me

“Come In Mark !”

I get a little jumpy to heard that sound and then Mark slowly push the door. The room was spacious, barely filled with furniture. A lustrous carpet fill the base of the room with blue and mix of red colour leaving small space uncovered at left side. A small looking grandpa sit cross legged while reading a book, not even looking to us. Mark take dogeza position and bowed, tough its seem riddiculous he has a tail waggling and a pair of ear that like a fox ear, this is my first time to see fox man tribe.

“Master I’m here with Naia’s son”.

The Master then close his book, take a sip at the cup of his tea and say “at ease Mark bring him closer”. Mark then take me closer to him and we sit face to face. The master said in low tone and look me in the eyes,

“Welcome here lad you really take your mom eyes”, while rubbing his small beard he look to Mark.

What news you bring here, I hear your village got attacked?”.

Mark then explain about the raid on that night while the master some times eyeing me with sad eye,

“Master I really don’t know where to go for the safety of Assam since our country must be in turmoil right now. To reach your place I already used the teleport stone 3 times to avoid incoming pursuer , and… I hope you can give Assam your protection”

The master then give him small nod, look at my way,

“First let me introduce my self young Assam, you must be confused why you have been brought here, I  am Kasim Hazil and was your mother and this Mark sort of Master for a long time".

"The both of them already graduated from my teaching and until now we barely meet face to face again.  As our teaching bond us as family you supposed be in my care …but now situation were naught. Despite this country look peacefull  and laid back on the surface there are many dispute and clash at many level. Even with my position here I’m afraid cannot ensure your safety this time.”

“Tough I have another ... way to give you a place to stay a place i deemed suitable, you must ready to take a hardship road and be diligent can i have your word in this matter?”

 I then look to mark and see him smile,

“Yes master of course then” i answered shortly.

 The master clap his hands said ”It settled then” he take out a small scroll and bent that to the uncovered floor. He recite some thing and the scroll glowing faintly first and then come brighter.

“This is a continental teleport spell,  you and Mark will go to my friend place, and Mark after the end of this day u must come back here, the spell active for one day, I have some thing for you…”

Mark then take my hand and go inside the scroll circle

“ Yes master, I’ll be back shortly” he then look at me 

“Assam are you ready?” I gave him small nod and realize my palm are sweaty.

“Good bye Assam take care there and be diligent okay?”

Master Kasim recites some thing again and I feel my body lighter. Bright lights surround our body, like a black hole come out from our feet I feel sucked there and think * oh god I’m gonna die*.

 Then a moment of breath later we came out at some clearing, the sky clear blue and the wind blow my hair fondly. I cand hold my daze to such beautifull scenerry. 

A small chuckle startled me “ Uhuhu >_<, welcome brothers to our Bali Island.”
