Finished the story!

Wow, what started as a quick distraction from my writers block on my original fiction has sprawled into this massive story that I never imagined it would become. It's been a lot of fun seeing this story really come to life as I wrote. I sort of just sat down and started writing this one day, there was no big plan or outline or anything like that when I was starting out. I was just writing what came to me in the moment and making it work with the story. I was surprised by some of the twists and turns that ended up in this, things I never would have imagined when I was writing at the start.

As you can probably tell from the ending, I've left things somewhat open ended and while this is the end of Harry's main story, Laura Potter's story is just beginning. I'm not writing that story in the immediate future, but I see a lot of potential for what I can do with her and the altered world of Harry Potter going forward if I choose to do so some day.

I'm going to mark this as complete for now, but that second story is likely to be continued under this fiction page. So maybe those with Royalroad accounts should keep following it so you can get an update if I end up coming back to it.
