On a lonely summer night, Kyra looking at her mirror while brushing out the knots in her black shoulder length hair, wincing every time she pulls too hard. She typically doesn't go out to impress anyone but she enjoys making herself look nice when she is out. As she finishes with her hair, she glides her tongue along her fangs, her scarlet red eyes shinning in the reflection due to the rooms light, she is ready. She throws on a plaid button up shirt and puts in her headphones before venturing out on one of her midnight walks. 

She enjoys her time alone, her eyes tend to wander around watching the many people who pass her by along with the scenery. Humans, Dragonoids, Druids and many other various types of beings make there way throughout the cityscape that they all call a home. Kyra tends to look at all the people around her as she travels each night but she never seems to talk to many people at all, this isnt much of an issue for her due to her introverted lifestyle however the lack of people around her is actually cause of fear. As a vampire, she endures quite a lot of discrimination when people see her fangs so conversations typically are kept short. There have been a few situations that led to a fight breaking out but thankfully they always ended without any injuries. This is all thanks to someone who got to know Kyra a little better than most people.

Kyra tilts her head up to look up at the sky and watch the flickering stars across the navy skyline, then she immediately drops her head back down and exhales with a sigh as her playlist gets paused from someone calling her, "Not again, why is it every night," Kyra says before answering, "Hey Alice, What could I do for you princess?" Alice Navura is Kyra's best friend, she is a dragonoid girl and tends to wear lots of bright and vibrant types of clothing which also happens to match her personality, very bubbly. "Don't 'princess' me, I just tried calling your Lime, are you out on a walk again? You know I worry when you go out alone!" Alice replies impatiently. Kyra laughs a little before replying, "Yeah yeah, You know I can handle myself though. Plus I'm not gonna let you force yourself to stay up and walk with me, you aren't nocturnal like me y'know." "Listen here you butt, I don't care if I'm not nocturnal, that doesn't change the fact that I don't like you going out alone, vamp or not. Hmmpf," Alice replied irritably all while Kyra giggles softly. "Okay okay, I'm sorry, what did you call me for? Surely, it was important if you had to call me this late." "Oh right! I was gonna call you about something important and I got myself ready to talk to you cause I was worrying and um yeah-" Alice getting flustered a little with her words while she gathers herself. "Okay okay, calm down and tell me already or I'll have to go over there and put you in your place" Kyra replies in a bit of a flirty way, on the other end of the call you can audibly hear Alice squirming in her bed after that comment. "KYRA YOU AREN'T FAIR SAYING THINGS LIKE THAT!!" Kyra replying with a bit of a laugh, "Alright, I'm sorry, can you tell me what you wanted to say or?" "Right um, well, this is kinda hard to say, so can you bare with me?" Alice asking this of Kyra put her into a confused state, "Okay? now you have me a little worried, what's up?"

"Okay well um, do you remember your ex from earlier this year?" Alice finally getting to the topic. "You mean Trev? The guy who made me wanna only date women? How could I forget that asshole," Kyra sounding a little annoyed with answering Alice. "Y-yeah, so um, this is really hard to say, but he kind of confessed to me a little bit ago and i know th-" Kyra's heart sank as she heard her friends words, "I'm sorry what did you just say?! You turned him down right? You know how much that bitch hurt me?!" Alice a little nervously replies, "Yeah... I know, it was literally the only time you have cried around me..." Alice pauses a little before continuing, "The thing is.. I think its kind of mutual-" As soon as her friend said 'mutual', Kyra couldn't help but hang up the phone and sit on a bench nearby. She sunk her head into her hands and began to tear up.

Kyra's Best Friend, just told her that she had mutual feelings for an ex the mentally scared her and abused her kindness. She didn't know how to process the information given to her. She was hurt, not because she had feelings for her ex still. Kyra moved on emotionally months ago, however the issue that is bugging her the most is that she had fallen in love with her best friend. Months after the break up she started being more aware of Alice as a girl instead of a long term friend. Kyra always just assumed that she was rebounding after the break up but its been roughly 6 months since then. She has thought about it over and over and decided that she did fall for Alice but she told herself she would never confess. She was happy just being close to her and seeing her happy, but after hearing her saying that she loves someone else hurt more than anything.

By this point, It has been roughly a half hour since Kyra abruptly ended the call with Alice, she wiped her tears off her face and leaned back on the bench and just looked up at the sky. She didn't know how to feel about this situation. She reached up to the sky as if grasping for something unattainable. "I don't want to let her go but she was never mine to begin with huh.." Kyra said silently to herself, her hand dropped onto her lap and she followed with a sigh. She looked down at her lap and tried to calm herself down preparing to call Alice and make it through that conversation with her and get it over with. Just as she was about to call her back, "KYRA!!" Kyra looks around surprised at someone screaming her name, only to look down the path she took to get here and see a worn out and panting Alice looking for her.
