The Start of a New Beginning (Prologue) Year: 2035

For years the human world has been left to wonder on whether their beloved Earth was the only habitable planet throughout the cosmos and whether the truly are alone just drifting through space with their solar system. Those questions were left as mysteries which they so dearly tried to solve, but only came close to nothing.

A day arose when people gathered only the top scientists and astronomers and gave them the task of discovering just one planet which solved their mysteries and to find out if there is a way to go there and if the planet could help their own. Those chosen few took the task as their life's work and set out to achieve the next great jump for humanity. Out of all those great minds only one of them rose to the occasion, he was known as Dr. Frederick Richards as he discovered the next planet of life.

People rejoiced for his discovery as an event was held on a faraway island to broadcast the discovery to the rest of the globe. The event was hosted in a giant white dome shaped building with banners written 'The New Generations' and a great majestic opening where only those who could afford to attend could enter. The room is filled with many decorations such as fountains, glass sculptures and food for guests with many people anxious to hear about the great news and giant curtains shielding the room beyond with guards dressed in white to secure it.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the announcer said as she grabbed everyone's attention towards a grand stage with a white podium, "I would like to introduce you all to the man who discovered the key and opened mankind's door to the New Generations, Dr. Frederick Richards!," the announcer said as the crowd began to cheer while a tall man dressed in a white lab coat with red decals (lines on the edges), black pants and shoes and brown hair walked up to the podium.

"Ladies and gentlemen! --," he paused as the speakers gave off a short sudden shriek. "Apologies I seem to have forgotten about the mini microphones. Anyway, the government and I have invited you all here to witness humanity's next big step towards a bright future." he said as the crowd cheered lightly. A large number of reporters began to barrage him with various questions as the cameras began flashing randomly.

"Please people one at a time, yes how about you good sir." he said as he pointed towards a reporter.

"Doctor does this mean that you have answers to some of the cosmos's mysteries?"

"I can proudly say that those mysteries are as good as solved."

"With this new planet help our own in any way?" another reporter asked.

"For that question I would like you all to look at the screen." he said as a giant screen turned on revealing the planet.

The planet at first glance looks just like the Earth but when one pays closer attention, they will notice that there are only four continents, and they look bigger and have different shapes compared to Earth's. The audience notices that there are four other planets in that solar system with the planet of focus being the second from their yellow star.

"As you all may have noticed that this is not the Earth, but the planet of hope." he said as he pressed a button on the podium which displayed various information about the planet on the screen, "Before you start asking questions, this planet is 17% bigger than the Earth and yes, we are able to live on it."

"How is this planet supposed to help the Earth?" a reporter asked.

"Well, when we replicate its atmospheric conditions, it would be able to fix our atmosphere solving global warming and due to its habitable conditions, it can fix another world problem which is overpopulation." Dr. Frederick replied confidently.

"And how are we going to do that?" a curious reporter asked.

Dr. Frederick pressed a button on the podium which activated the curtains to slowly reveal the hidden room.

"Like our sponsors Arison Airways says, We Can Take You There!" he stated as the crowd was left in awe as they witnessed the reveal.

A giant circular device about 20 meters tall with huge technological like spears all pointing towards the center where a small ball emits blue light as some electric shocks are seen coming from it. A short metallic track with a shuttle connected to the bottom of the device with people wearing white protective clothing standing beside the shuttle.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"What you people are witnessing here today is the world's first ever teleportation device which I personally love to call, The Channelor. The gateway towards a great future." Dr. Frederick said as the crowd cheered.

In the control room for the Channelor a group of scientists are doing the final preparations for the device.

"Is everything ready like it's supposed to?" one of the scientists asked.

"Everything is set and ready." a scientist answered.

"Then give them one heck of a good show." the scientist said as the others turned on the device.

The technological spears began to give off a blue glow just before they shot rays of electrical light towards the central ball which caused it to spin rapidly. Blue smoke began emitting from the ball till it reached the borders of the device, a blue circular spiral portal began to open till it reached the boarders of the device only having blue smoky borders. The dome's roof opened while the Channelor shot a huge ray of blue electric light into the atmosphere. People all over the world instantly notice changes such as brighter sky and better weather as they began cheering.

"The people standing before you are going to be the first to set foot on our new oasis. Now let the exploration begin!" Dr. Frederick said as the people cheered while the explorers began entering into the shuttle.

Just as they were about to dive into the portal, a giant black horn emerged from it. The crowd stopped cheering and began to slowly step back as the horn got bigger till the full organism came out of the portal. A big creature about 3 meters in height, holds the resemblance of a rhino beetle, green and red fur which look like moss and what seems like a capsule on its back.

"Nobody scream, just move back slowly and maybe it won't--," a guest said just before the beast gave off a monstrous roar which scared everyone as they began to run away chaotically.

The beast getting annoyed of the noise gave off another roar as it began to eat random people which drastically increased the people's panic. Dr. Frederick ran to the control room and saw all the scientists shocked and confused by what is happening.

"What's going on, I thought you people said that the life there wasn't big or anything to worry about." he said grabbing the papers with calculations.

"I don't know sir, all the calculations were done, and we didn't find any errors." a scientist explained.

"Let's see here," he said as he carefully looked at the calculations then looked up towards the scientists with a look of anger, "which one of you forgot to carry the 2 in height." The scientists began to randomly point at each other in desperation as Dr. Frederick gave off a great sight.

The beast kept on causing chaos as the death toll kept increasing till special defense forces arrived and began shooting at it and forcing it back to the portal. The beast kept roaring in agony as its wounds increased. It's forced halfway into the portal till it decides to bite the Channelor causing it to react uncontrollably.

"Shut it down now!" Dr. Frederick said desperately.

"It's resisting. It's going to explode!" a scientist shouted while attempting to escape, till Dr. Frederick grabbed onto his collar just as he was about to run out of the room.

"Where are you going, there is no point in running now," Dr. Frederick said with a look of fear, "let's all just hope that our next lives are better."

The machine gives off a loud humming noise followed by a light blue pulse wave which kept increasing in size. Some of the guests managed to get onto their cruise liners to attempt their escape while others were either begging to be taken along or left mourning for their dead companions. The pulse wave grew bigger till it covered the entire island while emitting lots of tiny glimmering particles which float throughout the interior of the pulse wave as it kept expanding. The people within the pules wave were left confused as some attempted to touch the floating particles while others were left in fear as the Channelor exploded destroying everything on the island.

The pulse wave expanded till it covered all parts of the globe as the world's armies were deployed expecting the worst to happen. People began fleeing into their homes or bunkers to escape the particles if proven dangerous, but it was proved useless due to the particles being able to move through solid objects. All electrical appliances around the world suddenly turned off as random people began to drop dead as everyone began to greatly panic. Planes lost one or both pilots as they plummeted from the sky, families were broken as cries of grief echoed throughout the world as chaos reigned. People began noticing that they were getting strange supernatural abilities as some used them to aid others and others used them for their advantage for survival.

Just as people thought that what has happened was all to come, portals ranging in size that looked the same as the one from the Channelor began appearing all over the world as only the brave went through them. Many entered, but only a few were able to exit as the portals closed behind them. The portals which were left unattended for long periods of time began releasing different types of beasts which caused havoc to their surrounding areas. Once electrical appliances were restored the world's people banded and worked together to close the portals.

Once the waves of catastrophe ended the world began to rebuild as the vast variety of technology was still available so the rebuild didn't last as long as people feared. Most of the world's leaders passed on during the catastrophe so the world's people decided to appoint capable leaders and use the hierarchical system of kingdoms where each continent has two noble families, one for the northern part and one for the southern part. Those who were able to go in and close the portals which kept occurring were given jobs as Sealers due to the fact that the beasts dropped valuable crystals when killed which could be used as great energy sources to power the world. Civilizations were renewed and economies were replenished as the world opened a new chapter to a new way of living.
