Synopsis
A single day on Earth changes everything.
Within the date of September 12th, 2023, nations of the Anglosphere; the United States; the United Kingdom; Canada; Ireland; New Zealand and Australia, along with all of their territories, self-governed or not, are suddenly transferred to another world.
This event, aptly named the Transfer, launches an avalanche of domestic problems within the transferred nations of the Anglosphere. The non-existence of almost all of the nations of the Earth deals a huge cost on the import industries of the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. Australasia's vast lands and low population are able to provide some of the imports caused by the Transfer, particularly that of food, and some other specialized resources, but none are self-sufficient on their own. The Anglosphere can only do so much. Their economies are stagnating, and the nations close into a crisis that will be worse than the Great Depression, that is if they don't cooperate with each other.
However, not everything is lost. What problems the Transfer gave to the Anglosphere, it took away as much. They start fresh in the geopolitical game. With new alliances to forge, new opponents to fight and new assets to exploit, the Anglosphere will do whatever it can to satisfy its populace, even if at the expense of others.
Not much is known about the new world yet. The only thing that is known is the existence of intelligent life... or at least that's what the governments of the Anglosphere want their people to know about.
Highly sensitive reports directly sent from heads of the state by their respective governments show that the new world, by all accords... is fantastical.
