He came slowly to her and stared at her eyes from close proximity. Annessa jumped back. He scowled.''It seems I really hit you too hard. But you earned that hit. Even if you didn't mean any harm, the stone that you threw at your new mother almost poked her eye out. You can't do that. It's a bad thing to do. You are now punished to go to the fields with me for the next two weeks and pull out the weeds between plants with me. Maybe that will teach you to be more polite to everyone and to become a good girl.''

Annessa looked at him with big eyes and understood. The girl felt that her father didn't love her enough and tried to take that out on a new woman in his life. Her new mother. She sighed. As long he doesn't mistreat her she will try to live comfortably and in unity with them.

''Father. I know I was wrong. I taught you hate me and that you forgot my mother. In my head, she was the cause of that and I just ...snapped. I am sorry. I will accept the punishment.''she said with childish voice and looked at him with her big eyes. She knew how the child looks like and as this is her body she is sure that her expression is extremely cute right now. 

Her father looked at her and got stunned. She has the same eyes as his past wife. His heart softened. This child really had a hard life since she was born. That year it was draught and he didn't have enough money to get medicine for her mother. No matter how much he begged around no one gave him a chance and she died. She left Annessa alone that was not even two years old. Since then he tried hard to get back on his feet and finally, he found someone who would be willing to share care for her. But she really hated his new wife. He didn't know why, but after she explained it, everything became clear.
