[Chap 2] A Girl’s Body

Even though it had been only a few minutes in this world, Ian was more interested in the setting of the world rather than figuring out how to return. Deep inside his mind, he knew that a new world and identity unlocked many possibilities. It was better to experience it rather than returning where he came from. He partly wished not to return to his original world as his previous life was dull.

“There you are, miss!” the maid exclaimed as she noticed her exiting the washroom. Not knowing what to say, he acted like he would in his world. “Sorry, I had to leave as it was urgent,” she told the maid while maintaining eye contact. This was rare, Ian would never make eye contact with people easily, but now he felt at ease doing so.

The maid had a worried expression, “Young miss, you have no reason to apologize or explain yourself for strolling in your house, especially to a maid like me,” she said, bowing her head.

She thought about it for a while, and it was true. Ian’s biases in his attitude toward others may or may not be different. If this is a medieval era, the girl he has possessed is part of the nobility. He could not determine how powerful their influence was. His knowledge of nobles was limited to what he studied in his history classes.

“Let’s go back to my room in that case. I do not want to make the doctor wait,” she said, speaking informally. The next course of action from a caretaker for someone lying on the bed and suddenly saying they didn’t remember them was pretty obvious. The maid didn’t heed attention to that detail and agreed as they started moving toward her room.

Upon opening the door, a man was standing there. He was well-dressed and held a suitcase-like object in his hand. Not to mention, he was handsome. Ian liked girls, so that didn’t matter.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

“I hope you are doing well today, Lady Iana,” the man said. “Iana…? So that’s her name, quite similar to mine…,” she thought. “I seem to have lost my memories, but I do remember my name, but that’s it,” she informed. The man gave her words a thought.

“Do you remember being struck on the head yesterday by a sword’s hilt?” he asked. “Not at all,” she replied.

“Hmm, I see. It’s a case of memory loss. Not very common. I would suggest taking care of her for now. If possible, jog her memories by giving her a tour around and showing her things that were important to her, if any. It might help with her memory’s recovery,” he instructed the maid as she closely listened to him.

“Thank you, doctor,” said the maid after the doctor finished speaking. “Lady Iana, I will take my leave now. Take care of yourself,” said the doctor before departing the room.

After the doctor left, the maid turned her head towards Iana. “My lady, since you have trouble remembering. Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Rosabelle. I was appointed by His grace to tend to your needs since my lady was a child,” she explained as Iana listened to her carefully.

“I see. What about the hilt hitting me on my head?” she inquired.

“It happened yesterday. My lady was sitting under the armory room’s balcony. A maid discovered you lying unconscious with slight hints of blood on your hair and a bloody sword near your body. It was suspected a hilt was dropped on your head from the balcony. His grace is looking into this matter personally and asked me to report to him after you wake up,”

“Alright, you should go inform Father about this lest he might end up scolding you,” she told her after listening to what happened to her.

“I will be right back. Please let me know if you want anything else,” she said before leaving the room.

Iana thought to herself, digesting the situation that unfolded just now. She went close to the mirror and touched the mirror with the tip of her fingers. Her blue fluffy long hair and blood-red eyes were perfect for her face. Not just the appearance, but she could feel that the body was brimming with power. “A girl’s body, huh,” Ian thought in silence while staring at the mirror intently.
