C2 Second Chance

C2 Second Chance

So yea, my luck stat sure as hell isn't something I plan on seeing.

Anyways, what was it he said, oh yea!

“Tutorial”

In my field of view, just like how the isekais all seem to have in common, a screen in your field of view.

*ping*

[Welcome, this interface will explain the menu panels and their contents.]

[During this time, the time around you will freeze.]

[To begin, say ‘continue’...]

“Continue”

[To begin, Status menu, to access the status menu, please sa-]

“Status”

Too cliche, it's in almost all the isekai I’ve ever seen where it has a game like menu, gosh, the god of this world is very lazy isn't he? Or is it because we are so accustomed to it that it’s done that way as to make our time getting accustomed to the world easier? I don’t know if he is lazy or a genius.

[Status]

[Name: Septaria Atima]

[Age: 18]

[Gender: Female]

[Height: 135cm]

[Weight:-]

Whoa whoa whoa, no, skip that.

[Race: Anchorkin

[Subrace: Ironclad]

[Form: Human]

[Race refers to the being an individual is, while subrace refers to the branch that spreads off from the primary race, it may be, an environmental change, or a certain specific event or requirement is met that may also change the subrace]

[Form is a certain status within few races that allow quick and drastic changes within themselves, and example would be mermaids swapping their fins for human legs, or higher slimes, acquiring the form of a monster to scare away predators. These forms may or may not have physical ability changes on the individual]

[Magic: E-]

[Mana: 30/30]

[Magic is the ability to cast spells or use certain abilities, the magic rating of an individual has a small impact on the spell itself, but rather primarily changes the range of spells they can use, certain races cannot reach certain levels of magic, however, individuals may sometimes break that rule. Mana is the capacity of how much magic an individual can use, some zomes contain little mana, thus slowing the mana regeneration]

[Strength: F+]

[Dexterity: C-]

[Strength is the physical power of an individual, it can be increased through training however it’s heavily limited by the race, subrace and form, there are, of course, a few individuals who broke their racial limitations. Dexterity is how quickly an individual can move]

[Racial traits: No hunger, No thirst, Ship mimic, Blessing of the oceans]

[Racial traits are certain abilities exclusive to races or subraces, these cannot be gained after birth, but can be gained through becoming a certain subrace]

[No hunger: Does not starve, can still eat food, but is not a requirement for survival]

[No thirst: Does not get thirsty, can still drink, but is not a requirement for survival]

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

[Ship mimic: If the ship is within technology levels of the Anchorkin’s technology level, they can become said ship]

[Blessing of the oceans: can sense the rough direction of islands, threats, other ships. Bad weathers are less likely to strike, can breathe underwater longer, treasure found underwater is easier to find, and collapsing at sea will most likely land you on a nearby island]

[Overall Rating: S-]

[Overall rating refers to the strength of that individual compared to other beings on the global scale]

[Next would be the ‘News menu’, here, all major event news, or news directly related to yourself, can be seen here, be it rumors, plots or gossip]

That's new, since I only just came here, best use would be the major events.

[Next is the ‘Information panel’, here you can get information on things, however, the description of most things will be vague until you meet them]

That could be useful later on, also good to read when on the journey.

[Map, extends as you move or read other maps, can be zoomed, markers placed, also shows location of certain people you choose. Can combine with various spells for other effects]

Ooh I like that second part.

[Inventory, shows stored items inside inventory, time does not pass, only small creatures can be stored alive. Space is limited to a total of 2 meters cubed. You can withdraw and store items at will]

Typical skill, but doesnt seem overpowered like the others.

[Lastly, Progression. Progression tree is where you will use XP to purchase new upgrades, unlock ships, and purchase other items. To begin, please purchase one of the initial ships]

[Hms Warrior, Gloire, Monitor, USS Cairo]

Hmm, while the third and fourth are tempting, they won't last 2 hours in deep oceans like this, where the waves are the biggest threat. Hey wait a minute, purchase the initial ship? Can I even afford them?!

[Starter ships cost 1000XP each, you currently have 1500XP]

Ok, no idea how I have that much. I guess I will just go with the first one, cool name, decent firepower, big, fastest, it’s armour falls behind the others but it does have an internal citadel so there's that.

[You have chosen: HMS Warrior. Purchase for 1000XP? Yes / No]

Yes.

[Please enter water to begin transformation]

Aaah. maybe choosing the big one wasn't that great of an idea, I would have to swim all the way out there to transform now wouldn’t I?

But my worries were dispelled once I entered fully into the water, as though the magic also teleports me. Once I was fully submerged under the water, there was a bright light, and I blacked out for a few seconds.

Once I fully woken up, I had become the HMS Warrior.

[Next tutorial, Ship controls]

[Next tutorial, Ship controls]

[Many of the ship’s systems are mind controlled and can be controlled, purely through thought. However you can even see them directly as limbs and control them as such. You may also give them commands and they will act on their own]

Quite nice controls we have, so being lazy is an option, nice

[That concludes the tutorial, More help can be obtained should you need a further explanation. Just call ‘Help’ or ‘Tutorial’ to bring up the help panel]

Ok before you go, how do I get unlock more ships

[Unlocking ships requires a certain amount of XP, they may also require you to have progressed your technology level, Example, Mikasa for the pre dreadnought Era, Bismarck for the Dreadnought Era, or Aerleigh Burke for the Modern Era. Upon researching all technologies in a given era, it is possible to create your very own ship of that Era.]

Custom ships?! Sounds pretty op, but there's quite a grind for it, oh well.

How do I advance the technology era?

[Advancing era requires both XP and Technology points. Technology points are earned through researching technology, winning naval battles, reading naval stories and examining shipwrecks.]

Ok so how much until I advance?

[To unlock Pre-Dreadnought Era you require: 50,000XP 100TP]

Yep it’s a grindy one alright

At the very least I have a citadel and some rifled cannons so I should fare off better than other ships in fights.

Wait, this is a world with magic and monsters, if I can't cast magic I’m at a huge disadvantage!

Do I have magic?

[Access skills tree? Yes / No]

Yes

[You are able to purchase the following magic:]

[Crew: 10,000XP]

[Damage control: 2000XP]

[Doppelganger: 15,000XP]

[Telescopic sight: 500XP]

[Shipyard: 30,000XP]

[Lucky armour: 5000XP]

[More may be unlocked through progression, time, or battles]

Those are some pricey skills, though a few catch my eye.

What's a doppelganger?

[Doppelganger allows you to summon the other form of yourself, so for your current self, you can summon your human form, and control both at will.]

And if I was in human form I could summon my ship form?

[Correct]

And what is the Shipyard skill?

[Allows the purchasing of ship minions, they will cost their own currency to summon ships, their price will be based on your level of technology, level, the ship you are purchasing and the shipyard skill’s level]

No wonder why those 2 are pricey

[You have 1 daily spin]

Um...what?

[Daily spin, every day you get a spin, which may give you items, forewarnings, skills, or even XP]

Um...spin?

[Congratulations, you have gotten: 2000XP]

Not bad.

As I look around, I get a feeling I will meet land towards the east.

Wait a minute, how do I know that?

[This is the effect of Blessings of the oceans]

Ah...Right
