Hi everyone, this is my first attempt at writing something here. I'm writing this story because of how fed-up I've been recently over the similarities in all the light novels I've been reading. As I'm pretty sure I'm not as good as I would like to think I am, please feel free to leave any and all constructive criticisms and feedback. I'll do my best to improve!
Without further ado, I present to you, the prologue for Anarchy!
Prologue:
~~~~~~~~~~
Leo woke to the ringing of his cell. Wincing due to the glare of the bright afternoon sun, he fished out his phone from under his pillow. The time was 3pm. Still dazed, he checked the messages he'd been receiving since 10 in the morning. All of them were from Gale, the person he liked to think of as his best friend.
10am : Dude wake up
11am : Are you coming today?
12pm : Bro, at least reply my messages
2pm : why do I even bother
3pm : Just drop me a text if you're still coming
Fuck, I screwed up, thought Leo as he slapped his forehead. Glancing at the time, and at the girl who was still sound asleep beside him, he sighed.
He sent Gale a text saying he was already on his way, and tried to wake up the sleeping girl.
What was her name? Jasmine? Jess? I can't remember. thinking such rude thoughts, he nudged her shoulders.
At this moment, he heard a buzzing sound so loud that it hurt. It was followed by a flash of pure white light. So bright that he had no choice but to cover his eyes lest he go blind.
"Arghhhhhhh" groaning, he tried turning away from the light. But he couldn't. No matter how he twisted and turned, the light was there, as though it was perpetually in front of his eyes. And just as suddenly as it came, the light, along with the buzz, disappeared. Leo slowly opened his eyes, and what he saw, he couldn't explain. By all rights, he should still be in his room. But in front of his eyes, was a room that was painted black. Everything was so black, it looked as though the concept of light didn't exist. But seeing as how clearly he could see the objects, he came to the conclusion that it wasn't dark. Everything was just painted black.
"What bad taste."
"Whose taste are you calling bad?!" A woman's voice retorted.
Turning around, he saw a woman, in her early 20s, wearing a jet black dress that looked as thought it was woven from the night itself. Her face seemed to be the very definition of beauty. Raven hair that fell to her waist, skin so pale it seemed to glow in this black room. A figure so slender, yet so well-proportioned, he couldn't believe she was real.
"Looks just like a painting, no, a Goddess would be a more apt description" he mumbled.
"Fufufu I thought you were just a rude kid, but it seems you can appreciate true beauty can't you?" She said, as she showed him a smile so bewitching his heart couldn't help but skip a beat.
This must be a hallucination, he thought, might as well enjoy it. It would be a crime not to have fun with a beauty.
Standing up, he walked towards the lovely woman, and leaned in so close their lips almost touched. Breathing in her lovely lavender scent, he whispered softly," Mlady, I'm sorry for saying something rude just now, wouldn't you find it in your heart to forgive me? After all, someone as beautiful as you shouldn't have anything on your pretty face other than a smile. I'm Leo, I believe I haven't heard your name?"
Her face reddening, she couldn't do anything but mumble "Asha"
Leo lightly brushed his lips against her cheek and again softly whispered into her ear, "Mlady Asha, there's no need to be shy or embarrassed. I'll be gentle with you. I promise."
He then pressed his lips against hers. All resistance of hers melted and she began to return his caress, and his kisses.
Ahhhh this is definitely heaven, Leo thought as he enjoyed the sensation of her lips against his,even if this is just a hallucination, it feels so damn real.
As Leo was about to go further, the white light flashed before his eyes again, accompanied by that loud buzzing. As he fell to his knees, the startled Asha looked as though she had just remembered something important.
"Shit, I completely forgot to give you an explanation! I got so carried away! There's no time, to say anything now, when you get to the other world, your friend will explain everything to you. I'll do what I can on my side to help you. A-a-and from now on you're mine! Don't ------------"
The buzz drowned out the rest of what Asha said. Leo was confused, but he couldn't speak, couldn't retort. The buzz and the light became unbearable, and he blacked out.
------------
"Fuck!" Leo screamed the moment he opened his eyes. Disoriented, he looked around. It seems the hallucination now is a forest. "Well, I'd be better off just lying here and waiting for this hallucination to pass, and then hopefully I'll either wake up or see Asha a--------"
Before he could finish his own sentence, someone threw a rock that hit his head with complete accuracy. Glancing at the direction it came from, Leo saw someone stepping out of the thickets, dragging something bloody on the ground. As he stepped closer, Leo could finally see he face.
"Gale?!"
