March of War
With the roars of the drums we march, at the roars of our
beats we hunt when the final beat thumbs we charge for blood.
With a decision made we are the leok tribe are destined
towards the scouts of Meghan towards the west, with every drum beat we march
onwards to bring a proclamation upon them for trespassing through our domain
unwelcomed.
Being part of the wandering kingdom of Dionacris the
rightful rulers of leis we are bound to uphold the challenge of war to any and
all creatures tell they bow before us or buried beneath us.
Through ages of conflict we
have held our position in power out gunning every other kingdom, but being
unable to conquer them due to their petty alliances.
So to drive the nail in effort to incite a war we will
slaughter every single Meghan parasite that plagues our world.
With our march of war’s end fast approaching the blood of
our fallen will be smeared upon us before the slaughters calling.
Our bodies begin to quake and tremble not out of fear but
anticipation as our first glimpse of scouts signal the charge. Who needs orders
when thousands of maniacs mow through the grounds like a tsunami of chaos and
death.
With every moment being their last they scream and plead
beneath our feet drowning in their own blood begging for mercy.
As the tides move we scour
every inch of the border killing all parasites in our wake making our way
through the forest we come upon the last remaining division.
Pov Berkel:
After capturing the Anarak and transporting it safely
into a hibernation chamber that is located within our command tent, we begin to
gather the last remaining gear. As everyone starts working on the tasks at hand
I head on over to the communication tent to see if our com specialist was able
to reach any other division to inform them of our capture and plans to head
back to the capitol.
With my entrance I am suddenly halted where I stand, as I
stare at our com spec yelling into the radio fear starts to sink in, why easily
the only explanation for the coms to be down and no one responding is that they
have all been killed.
Unlike the coms we had a couple years back the improved
version links every single unit into the divisions channel that is shot into
the atmosphere linking itself to the natural mana waves in the surroundings. So
as long as one remained the signal should be able to be picked up however as of
this moment not one is being detected.
With the realization that something or someone is hunting
down our allies the fear begins to grow and slight panic starts to be noticed,
after informing the captain the decision to change our determined route to the
capitol from the way we came originally to instead transverse the northern
mountains away from any known civilization.
The importance of our survival and return has been set to
the utmost importance to report the news and the attack to the king to decide
on if we are under attack and to retaliate or pass the blame over to monsters
of the forest.
With decisions made we begin to pack post haste and
within moments a slight disturbance is picked up on our area scanners reporting
13 hostiles moving in formation to our location.
No time to strategize every one gears up while I proceed
to equip my power suit and switching from the A.R.K to the tactical assault
rifle.
With preparation the best they can be we prepare for our

first confrontation with trained enemies.
As the second upon contact countdown we patiently breath
waiting for them to break through the foliage or give their exact location away
where we will then proceed to take them out a quickly as possible then
evacuating north towards the mountains.
With the sensors going haywire signifying that they are
mere yards away every one line up their sights preparing to tag and bag any
bogies that pass into the clearing. We wait with bated breaths.
In moments gunshots begin to
go off as the targets begin a mad charge towards our location strapped to them
is pounds of explosive cores. Without delay we begin to shred into them in
attempt to drop them before they clear the safe zone detonating and causing
multipole casualties on our side.
Bogies dropping down left and right then exploding began
to set worry in our minds that if the enemy can sacrifice a dozen men then they
surely brought more and now with the explosions going off then our location has
been compromised and we don’t have much time to bail out if we don’t leave now.
As the understanding washed through everyone in the
division our captain proceeds to give the order to retreat while I and two
blaster remain to give cover fire before we ourselves bail the hell on out.
With a plan set a majority of them retreat while giving
suppression fire on the move helping relive some pressure on us who remained.
Within minutes they were able to escape far enough to get out of harms range so
we proceed to retreat under heavy enemy fire.
Almost entering the tree line that would have given us
enough cover to go into a full on sprint a sound of drums begins to hammer into
our ears, causing us to momentarily halt and turn around to see multiple
platoons coming straight for us on RhyKons, Not knowing originally who we were
dealing with but now we have no doubts it’s Dionacris the kingdom of warlords
and marauders the only crazy enough fucks to domesticate RhyKons an underground
monstrosity that upon entering sunlight becomes hardened like steel and
entering a berserk state bulldozing everything in its path.
As the realization hit us re
turned around and used everything we had to further increase our speed of
retreat one thing we are not prepared for nor equipped for is taking on
multiple platoons of Dionakrins.
Not wasting time to look behind us we begin covering
ground at new found speeds as the forest begins to spread apart more we know
were approaching the northern tip where it connects with the Altki Mountain
range witch will be our escape route and only hope of survival.
As soon as we enter the split off we notice the rest of
our division traveling on the mountain ridge heading east quickly, with no time
to spare we begin to scale the rocky cliffs and walls not giving a damn about
safety currently. With more energy use were able to propel ourselves upwards
and meeting up with the rest of everyone informing them of who is after us and
the urgency to escape.
With everything calming down to some extent I remember
the Anarak that was still in the commanders tent with extreme fear and concern
I run to the front to meet up with my commander to see if he was able to
retrieve him before the fight broke out or during their retreat, praying for
the safe retrieval I approach my captain asking if they were able to retrieve
the command tent and the hibernation chamber.
As my question left my moth everyone’s eyes immediately
dropped and the captain remained a firm gaze before saying….(Cliffhanger)
(Sorry it’s a lot shorter
than most of my chapters but this is mostly meant as a transitional chapter for
what will happen in the story)
