It is a cool and sunny day on a Saturday morning of 23rd January.

The date itself holds an important day for a particular school. An awaited event for those who take part in the event. A day for where students of four different colour groups will face off with one another in a game of sports in a sports event to see who will emerge as the victorious group.

It was early in the morning at around 6 a.m., some students and teachers were seen to have just arrived at the entrance door of the stadium arena.

One of those students is Angelica and her best friend, Alice.

Both of them arrived at their destination by riding Alice’s father’s car. As they arrived there, they were dropped off at the area before Alice’s father drove off to work.

When they thought of entering the stadium arena, they found that the gates were still chained. Finding out that the gates were still locked, the two girls decide to have a chat with each other.

Angelica was the one who started the conversation. “Hmph, we came here early just to find that the gates are still locked. This is boring…”

“Well, of course. This is still early in the morning. Just look at the watch! It is now just 6:05 a.m.! I still feel sleepy, after all. Anyway, why are we here again?” said Alice, who rubbed her sleepy eyes.

“Huh? Have you forgotten about our chat last night? Ok… I will make you remember, Miss Forgetful. We came here early because we were called by Teacher Cynthia to help with setting up the venue for today’s event. Now do you remember, Miss Sleepy Head?”

“Yeah… yeah… now I remember… It’s just that all I remember last night was you talking about the boy in our class who suddenly fell ill… Really, why do you care so much about this Barry boy? Don’t you remember how you were always mistreated by all of your boy “friends”? Why do you still keep that habit of yours? Haven’t you had enough of it? Who is the idiot now? Huh, Miss Idiot?! That is fair enough for both of us.” said Alice as she pouts in anger.

Angelica couldn’t fight those words, as it was her bitter truth. This causes her to curl up her lips and bite her lip as she faces down on the ground. She nearly felt fed up with facing her ugly reality.

Alice, who was her best friend since primary school, notices her best friend’s looks on the face, which made her felt a pang of regret in her heart.

She then sighed and asked Angelica a question. “Hey, can I ask you a question? Why did our school choose this stadium as the venue for our school’s Sports Day event? Why not use the school’s huge field compound?”

“Well, I guess the school chose this stadium because this is the closest stadium to our school in Likas area…” said Angelica.

“Yeah… I guess so… Hey! How about we go hang out at the sports complex while we wait for the gates to be opened? I’m feeling thirsty now. Come on! Let’s go!” Alice said to Angelica with a cheery smile plastered on her face.

The gloomy-faced girl, Angelica, saw her best friend’s face, which took her by surprise as her friend tries to cheer her up. This made her happy as a smile begins to form on her lips and said, “Yeah, let’s go!”

The two girls then headed towards the building across the road.

Stadium Likas is the name of the stadium. The stadium is within the Likas area. The stadium is used mostly by the various schools around Likas, ranging from primary schools up to secondary schools for events, such as sports events held by the school or soccer event and even as a venue for the national sports event, SUKMA, when it was the state’s turn to be the host for the particular event.

Later, Angelica got a call from Teacher Cynthia as the teacher has been waiting and tried to search for them around the stadium’s compound area.

Angelica informed Alice of the situation and both of them raced out of the sports complex building to the stadium to avoid any unnecessary problems for both of them.

When they reached there, they met with Teacher Cynthia, with some of the other teachers and students there. They then began to help set up for the event.

Soon, more and more students start to turn up for the awaited event. Among the students that were spotted at the event were Ethan, Eric, Colin, Hillbert, Joe, Ryan, Andrew and Brian and the others.

Ethan and the others were seen eating at the cafeteria downstairs. Some students, including Colin, who took part in one of the sports competition for the Jupiter house (Red) were seen preparing themselves at the waiting station. While Andrew and Brian and the rest of the students just spectate the event.

Not long after that, the Sports Day event begins and all the competitors under different colour houses start battling each other. Angelica and Alice are also among the participants competing against one another in a running competition under Uranus house (Yellow) and Saturn house (Green), respectively.

After that was done, Alice thought of meeting up with Angelica. But she was nowhere to be seen.

She then went on a search for her best friend, Angelica.

At that time, Angelica roams around the stadium, trying to see if she could somehow end up meeting with Barry on that day.

At first, Angelica searched for him among the crowds, but he was nowhere to be found. She then tried to search for him downstairs at the hallway and cafeteria. But he still was nowhere to be found.

On the other hand, Alice searched for her among the crowds, at the hallway and cafeteria downstairs. But they kept missing each other. Because of this, she halted her search as she needs to turn up for the marching event.

Last, Angelica remembered that Barry was supposed to be in the marching event, so she went to witness the event itself. She tried to put a bit of hope in herself. But alas, even that was eroded when she didn’t find him there, too. In the end, she came to acknowledge that Barry was still in bad condition to attend the Sports Day event today.

Meanwhile, Alice, who was in the marching group, saw Angelica blending in with the crowd to get a glimpse of their marching group, seeming to search for someone.

She thought of going to meet Angelica, but she couldn’t, as the marching event was not over yet. She then tried to sneak a glance at the crowds, but she had suddenly vanished. Alice was perplexed, but she had to shift her focus on the marching event first.

After she was done with that, she continues her search for Angelica. She needed to search for Angelica because she has a very good reason for it.

“I really need to search for her immediately! I have a bad feeling about this… If Angel is nowhere to be found, something bad must have happened. There are two possible scenarios for this situation. One, Angel might be roped into a bad situation. Or… two, someone might have perished because of her without anyone realizing it. This is bad!” thought Alice.

At this time, Angelica went to the girls toilet to wash her face. When she stepped out, she stood out near the spacious hallway to glance at the scenery around outside the stadium.

Unbeknownst to anyone, an intruder has just intruded the area. It was a lone burglar. The burglar laughed by himself as the security was weak. He then searched for his first victim. At last, he found his first target; Angelica.

Alice still continues her search for Angelica. When she felt tired, she thought of going to the toilet. By a strike of luck, she finally manages to find Angelica. As she thought of walking up to her, she notices a man wearing black clothes and a balaclava on his head. She knew it was a thief at first glance.

Alice thought of warning Angelica about it. But she doesn’t want her friend to have any suspicious idea about her. So she could only stay hidden behind the wall and monitor the situation.

The man thought everything was clear, so he then charged towards Angelica and pulls out a knife from his pocket.

A look of horror emerged on Alice’s face as she witnesses it unfolding before her eyes. She finally steps out from hiding and ran towards her.

Angelica, who is unaware of her surrounding, just stood there motionless and dazed.

When the thought of Barry came to her mind, she gritted her teeth and clenched her fist.

The man was getting closer towards his target each second. Alice, too, could almost reach her hand to pull out of harm’s way.

Angelica then raises her fist to the air. The robber is now just inches away from her. When the robber begins to strike, she suddenly releases her fist and strikes him on the face. This sends the robber flying and falls out from the first floor of the stadium and into the bushes.

Alice and the robber were stunned speechless with what just transpired.

Angelica, however, still has no clue what just happened. She only thought to herself. “Huh? I thought I punched a wall just now?” When she turns her head to the back, she notices Alice and said to her. “Hey, Alice. What are you doing here?”

Alice then snaps out of it and said to her. “Oh, it’s nothing. Come on, let’s go home now! It’s over already. Come, quick!”

Both of them exits the premise and got into Alice’s father’s car and they left the area early.

Soon, the Sports Day event came to a close, and everyone soon gets out of the stadium.

Andrew was down in the dumps because Angelica has ignored him the whole day.

Soon, Andrew meets up with Brian. Then, they met up with Ethan, Eric, Colin, Hillbert, Joe and Ryan.

They chatted with each other for a while before they just stood still with a blank face. At that moment, all of them had one thought. “What’s up with Alice and Angelica today?”

Except for Colin, as he was really busy with helping to manage the event.

Barry, who just stayed at home the whole day, suddenly gets the chills as he feels something scary just happened and felt glad he didn’t attend today’s event.
