The first time I met her was at this non profit organization that I volunteer at. My manager was introducing the girls that are there and our eyes did a quick pass. You know, more like two sand dunes brought together by a quick desert storm. Fleeting glances. Then our party moved on. But that one momentary lapse of reason was enough to convey the depths of our hearts to each other. It was like two swans on a cross continental soul journey had met at the Siberian lake shore of happiness. My meeting went on forever, as corporate meetings go. I was impatiently counting the moments until I could go talk to her. My heart was like a drop of precipitation, almost falling off a leaf tip on a humid tropical morning. My mind was like the lapidarian surface of an artist’s pallets at the end of a work day..you know, colorful, yes, but variegated by streaks of pain and impatience.
After the meeting was over, I ran to her desk. I was apprehensive, and my heart was jumping out like a ravenous lemur on a Madagascar beach. Holding the reigns of my anxiety strong, I said hi..She looked up, and smiled…It was a transcendental experience..Without showing my shock, I asked her how her day had been, if it gets boring sitting there for that long alone etc? She was very nice and friendly. Mustering all the courage, and praying to my ancestors, I decided to go the whole nine yards..I know, too soon too fast, completely against what was taught in the book of seduction, page 3, paragraph 2…But I didn’t care..I was listening to my heart for the first time in my life.. so I asked if she wanted to go for a walk..you know, get out and get some fresh air …and to my utter surprise she said yes.
Stolen novel; please report.
So we took a walk around the lake nearby chatting with each other. Well I must say it was me who was doing most of the talking. She was just her quiet self, listening calmly. Come on, you know how guys are on first date right? All talking trying to impress the girl while she is busy flicking her bangs over her ears, just enjoying the attention mostly. That is what she was doing. We met some of her friends on the way too. Guess she is loved by everyone.
Then I dropped her back to her desk. Since our first date was a bit quickly concocted one we decided we will soon meet for another elaborate one. You know, something that involves more time and possibly food. So the next day I took her out to a nice place…
To be contd….
PS: Wife knows.
