The pieces of the shell scattered around, revealing a figure twice the size of myself. If I also factor in a hint of anger in it's eyes, whatever threat level towards me that there was before... was now much larger. Before anything happened though, I talked "Welcome! What do you suppose is of happening?" I walked to the edge of the nest like prison and pointed to the ground. It being untamed and mysterious towards myself.
"What.. think? Think you die!" The new former friend stated, charging towards me and forcing my wing. The benefits of a collision were bad so I came up with the second best solution.
Dodge
"I don't understand you as well..." I spoke as the red bellied enemy reached a distance of 2 wings. I moved out of the way, just avoiding the deadly beak of the enemy. But this had cause misfortune in my opponent. A slight trip that would normally end with a bit of hurt. Turned into a hard fall as I knocked the enemy out of the prison, onto the forest ground below. Though this had allowed me to test the survivability of the drop. A new notification with this system thing though, told me otherwise.
[New World Robin] Level up 1-3
10 AP gained, 2 SP gained. Dexterity and Agility grew with use in combat.
I found this interesting, what did these AP and SP do? As well as what these statistics would mean in change. Agility and Dexterity must be correlated with what I had done there, right? I decided to check what had changed with the odd screen.
[Name] Unknown
[[Species] New World Robin(3)]
[Health] 7/7
[Stamina] 6/10
[[Class]Monster(x)]
-----------
[Stats]
[Strength] 1
[Vitality] 2
[Agility*] 4
[Endurance] 3
[Dexterity] 2
[Intelligence] 3
[Wisdom] (3-2) 1
Free AP: 10
Use AP?
------------------
Skills:
[Hunger for Knowledge(x)(P)]
Free SP:2
Use SP?
-----------------
Interesting! AP must be correlated with Stats and SP with skills. That should be useful! Strength seems explanatory with Stats Intelligence and Wisdom should be at 3 so those are magic focused. Then Agility and Dexterity should be about movement? I only really nudged the enemy off so I mostly moved around it. I'll just guess Endurance and Vitality are to do with Health and Stamina since they somewhat match up.
Information must be left out on what some things do, so of course I get to do this by myself. I wandered my thoughts trying to figure out a plan. "OK! Screen, I want to use my AP" I chirped, having the Screen light up and ask me a question.
[Use AP on?]
Interesting, it might answer some questions based on this... "Nevermind, I want to use my SP" I changed the request to get a different answer.
[Choose Sk- Overide, Base Skill not found. Open Class Sele- Overide, Monsters cannot have classes- Overide, limited Skill Choice gifted for shining light on issue in system. A New Skill has also been gained.]

[System Acknowledged Sapience] Verbal Use of System has caused the system to acknowledge this individual as a stand out among it's peers. +%10 Boost Towards all Stats (Rounded down to nearest whole)
--------------
[Gift of the system] Choose one of three skills chosen due to singularity and species affinity towards such skills.
[Weak Wind Manipulation] Most avians simply use the air to fly without actual control of what they both breath and swim in. This grants you the ability to manipulate the wind in a way that will grant extra skills in the foreseeable future. (1)(A)
[Weak Physical Elemental Manipulation] The elements around one's self may be of many different forms. In time use your magic to make up for your physicality and splinter the branches of trees in one hit. (PHYSICAL LIMITED)(1)(A)
[Winds of Knowledge] The winds vibrate with the words of thousands, you may never hear them all but the wind may be bent to one's will with enough force. This skill will blow through the walls of the world and as the holder learns, the wind learns as well. (-Hunger For Knowledge) ((Great Magic Affinity) (Great Wind Affinity) More Advancements Directly Linked to Knowledge of Holder) (Vitality changed to 1:2 Health) (Unlocks Greater Evolution Paths.) (+5 Int and Wis, Age Debuff Negated) (Vitality cannot be increased past 100 and takes 2 AP to be Increased)
I feel like this system is trying to scare me away from Winds of Knowledge. There are still 5 other egg like cells in the nest like prison which would mean that even if I only got hit by one my life would be in danger. But with the wind, I may be able to fly with these untested wings. I am technically fully fledged at my current status and can fly. But with confirmation with my 2 levels gained, up here is better than down there.

"But I could also not get hit, I choose Winds of Knowledge!" I chirped out to have the wind surround my body with a continously lowering temperature that started to cause nervousness in my body. Though it had been quick to end, I felt weaker in body, but there was a feeling as if I could shape the wind around myself now.
[Winds of Knowledge Aquired]
[Hunger for Knowledge Lost]
[Use SP?]
"Yes, use one on Winds of Knowledge" I spoke, with a new skill I should be able to use sp on this one, right?
[SP Requirement 10, Command Failed]
This was disappointing, though leveling the skill should be of a greater cost with it's boosts. "System, is there anything that I am able to spend SP on?" I spoke, this system must be able to assist me. It has given answers before, though not this complex.
[No skills can be purchased by skill branches. All skills are also too expensive to level.]
It was a disappointing answer that held much promise. Ther was another problem however, I had been distracted by what looked like the eggs moving in unison. The lack of a breeze told me that I could either escape or fight, two unwanted actions. This prison may as well be a nest for our cells as eggs. But it had been safe so far without threats from outside.
The problem could be however that being up in the air made it so no enemies could attack me from the ground. A tempting luxury forcing me to stay here until I can fly in the winds. However though, I spotted that in the eggs there was more movement and then a simultaneous peck. "Use Three AP on Vitality, Three on Intelligence, Three on Wisdom, and one on Agility." I hoped a one to one addition in stats with AP and this time the system delivered.
[Vit Increased to 5, Int Increased to 8, Wis, increased to 8, and Agi increased to 5]
This time the feeling with whatever changed in my body happened again, less prevalent this time. With the extra power I felt as if the wind could be shaped like twigs into a nest. Not easily, but I decided to try. An activating of the skill was a simple thought but the actual use was difficult. Especially factoring in the current time limit from a probable 5 angry enemies up here soon. There was some stress as I spotted holes forming from their beaks hit but luckily, it clicked.
The wind moved around as I commanded, I pushes with my thoughts pretty much, though I noticed that something was being pulled out of me to sustain this. The problem now is that I ran out of time to experiment. The 5 egg cells burst open, revealing 5 enemies that looked quite similar to the former enemy. But they looked peaceful so far so I stayed as I was, but the Screen showed up again, with something called a quest.
[Survive the Nest] As a New World Robin, you were before roaming the skys. Your kind has only had a few, including yourself join the Tutorial of Earth. Sadly, the other members of your species don't hold you as an ally, and would prefer you killed to increase their strength. [Succeed] +1x to all Stats (x=Enemies Killed) [Failure] Death
[Tutorial Unlocked] The tutorial was made by the system to allow the dominant species of a planet to survive the new changes to the world made by the system. Timer: 6:14:55 Survivors: 1,103,055/1,500,300
Intere- I stopped focusing on the tutorial screen and spotted the enemies making their move. Now I could confirm more things which should make my power in magic greater. Sadly that was still little information and probably not the levels it expects.
"Surrender and Die Fast or Fight and Die Slow!" One of the enemies spoke towards me, there clearly being some problems with it's speaking. Whatever, as If I would surrender to them.
"I'm going to decline that offer" I spoke, using my ability to try and make it a concentrated hit instead of a general push. The skill had some success as I was able to knock back one of the enemies on the side. Causing them to freeze up for a second as a comrade in the plan to kill me had been pushed back by simple air. But my second attack had been more successful and cut off the wing of the one furthest to the left. The group had sadly kept advancing with little remorse for an ally.
"You think a little breeze can defeat us?" The clear leader of the group taunted me as they advanced to only three wings away. My expectations for a quick fight subsided and I attempted to enforce greater control over my attacks. All my attacks to the side weren't exactly purposeful, and I was finally able to get a good hit. The two remaining to the left were promptly decapitated by a blade of wind.
"Yes" I answered the enemies taunt and picked off the remaining enemies surrounding the leader.
[Caution! Mana low]
The Screen shoved itself into my face just as the former leader reached a distance of two wings. In panic I reacted and shoved the leader away with the wind instead of taking it out with a swift attack. This forced me to focus on a nawing feeling in my head. I held no power to push the wind anymore at the moment. "Show mana" I chirped as the enemy stood again, this time half way across the nest from me.
[Mana: 0/8, .8 per minute]
I screwed up, and the enemy saw. Deciding to charge full force as the ball fell right back into my court. With this new problem arising, I ran. I paced around the circular prison with the enemy slowly increasing it's speed. I looked back and forth from my mana screen and the eenemy. Each step taxed my dwindling supply of Stamina, and that plus my mana decided to both hit one at the same time.
"No!" I chirped as I was caught up on in what felt like an instant. The feeling of a beak impacted my side, causing a stumble that would tip me off the platform. But not before that last bit of mana did it's work.
The last mana in my body flowed, forcing one last concentration of wind through the skull of the enemy. The last one lay with its head splattered as my body tipped off the side. My wings then flew into life, gliding my way downwards to a branch at a lower height. I was then alerted by the system of the benefits I had achieved through that battle.
[New World Robin] Lv.3->Lv.10 (Evolution Avaliable) All Physical Stats grow with use. 35 AP Avaliable. 7 SP Avaliable.
[Survive the Nest Complete] Total Victory! +5 to all Stats
"Okay, delegate 10 AP to Intelligence, 10 AP to Wisdom, 10 to Endurance and 5 to Agility." I chirped aloud after checking my surroundings for enemies.
[Evolution Avaliable!] Choose within 5 minutes or a decision will be made at random.
The system decided to pull another notification out of oblivian. This one did have a time limit though, forcing it to the top of the to do list.
[New World Robin of Wind] Become much more attuned to the element of your choosing. Gain greater spells and Magic Affinity.
[New World Greater Robin] Become a greater version of yourself with a base stat increase and size increase to accompany. (Evolution Output Greater)
[Lesser Spirit of Avians] Branch off into the realm of spirits, with a form reminiscing of your former time as a robin. With a life-force of the magic surrounding this world you are of potential, with little routes away from this path. (Physical form Limited) (SP Branch Avaliable) (Vitality transforms into life-force with all effects on it before being of same effect.)
[Lesser Servant of Wind] Evolve off into a new line, one of Magic and of Knowledge. Though of strength, wind may always be the leader of your life. (Subservient Race) (SP Branch Avaliable)
"Wow, that's a lot to take in," I thought aloud as I weighed my choices. Becoming a Greater Robin is a no go, along with becoming a servant to wind. With becoming a Robin of Wind I do gain greater affinity with my spells but lose out the chance of the SP Branch. "Lesser spirit of Avians" I chose the most interesting option and was swiftly knocked out from my long day.
