People tell me that I was a weird one, how I always scream out that a monster appears and they tell me that there is nothing there, but its there.
I see them hiding, I see them eating, I see them almost everywhere. Most of them are harmless, the usual spirit that is searching for the path to the afterlife or one who stayed behind to complete a goal. But there are the dangerous ones as well like the vengeful souls of murders and harsh believers.
No one believes in me except for my family and my dear friend Alice but I wish people would accept that the monstes are there and not hide it with their ignorance.
They diagnose me with a disease called 8th Grade Syndrome, but I am telling them that the monsters are real, since they wouldn't believe me I just had to prove it to them that the monsters were real by capturing one of them.
Many nights I have dreamt up plans on capturing those elusive beasts but to no avail would they submit to me, If only there was a way to make them listen to me, I wouldn't be labeled as a problem child by the society around me.
To say the least my family has already gotten use to how society looked at us with scornful eyes. A mother who is bed-ridden, an overworking father. , autistic sister, and then there's me, me with my 8th grade syndrome.
Honestly, if it weren't for Alice and my elder brother, we wouldn't have lasted this long. Most of the money would go to paying mom's hospital bills and lessons to help remedy Daisy's autism so that left me with nothing by my "delusions" as other people called it.
Many moons have passed since I started to carry out my plans and after another failed attempt, I headed home. The night sky glistened in the darkness, the clouds shimmered as they were illuminated by the moon. In one of the dark passages on my way home a shining light blinded me and a pristine voice as lovely as bells spoke up.
"You are trapped by the limits of mankind, the minds of the mass won't be pursueded by just words, they need evidence and here you are trying to find it"
I was startled to find someone who understood me, I attempted to communicate with them to learn more. I looked around to find where the source of the voice came from but no clear source was determined, it seemed to resonate from all around me, as if they were everywhere yet nowhere at all.
"So you know my struggle, tell me, how do I fix this dilemma I am in, I just want to prove that what I say is right"
"How to escape your troubles? The answer is simple really, you just need to awaken your powers that lay inside of you. It won't hurt I promise you, It will just make the world around you change and everything you know will be different, Here is a warning though, once you accept to awaken yourself, you will not be able to go back to your previous life. Do you understand me? "
"I do understand, I will properly handle these risk as necessary"
"Then by the oath you swear. You, an angel of the light sky, You, as an angel of the night sky, you wish to awaken your powers, to allow them to course through your veins and merge with your body. Welcome Awakened one, to an Angel's Game."
I felt my body burn up and a large pillar of light emerged from my body as I felt something snap inside of me.
Stepping out of the alley, I was woozy, tired and somewhat half-conscious. I walked forward only to stop at a bench and sit down trying to calm myself and think about what just happened.
I felt strange..... what is this feeling in my blood, why does my brain hurt so much. I gave up on thinking about what was happening to me because any extra thoughts on the matter would spike the pain level in my head.
In the distance I could see a person running over to me, the darkness obscured any additional details but I could tell someone was coming.
I stared at the approaching figure until they finally stepped into the light to reveal themselves.
"Oh god Sam what are you doing, we got to leave quick, before the fallen comes to claim you" Alice exclaimed frantically and she grabbed my hand, hauling me to my feet and quickly dashing with me in tow.
After a few blocks of running something a bit away from us exploded and a plume of dust and debris flew into the air.
"Alice what is going on?" I asked haphazardly and she cursed under her breath. "Damn they're here"
Out of the plume of dust two figures walked out, one of them was a masked butler with an orb in his hand who was busy brushing the dust off his suit. The other one was dressed as a harlequin, also with a mask.
"Oh oh oh, what fun what fun, Sable can I toy with them for a bit" the harlequin laughs as he eyes us.

"If you must, we got an angel here after all, it would be best to deal with her and take the faction-less with us to convert. His powers will benefit us in a way" Sable the masked butler replied and with a shout of glee the harlequin jumps up onto his hands and launches himself through the air and lands on his feet.
"Jester is my name, and Welcome to the world of angels is my game. Oh dear faction-less, would you be so kind to join the Fallen, if you do I won't harm you I promise, Dear Sable over there can vouch for me" the jester smirks, his voice echoing with laughter.
"No can do, he already joined us, the Ascended, he won't join the likes of you" Alice exclaims and Jester just taunts her instead. "tsk tsk tsk, he was just born last night, by the looks of it he is still in the realization process, he couldn't possibly know whats happening.
Alice grind her teeth and with a few waves of her hand her body started to glow with an aura.
"So no negotiations and fighting right off the bat, I LOVE IT, lets play girly" Jester shouted with ecstasy and he charged forward.
A knife meets fist, kick dodged by jumping, a backstab avoided by twirling. as the battle progressed the more it felt as if they were dancing. Their elegant moves captivated me, awakening me from my daze.
"Brother, your here" a familiar voice made me focus on the person who just appeared and out came my autistic sister Daisy.
"Daisy why are you here, you shouldn't be wandering around this late of an hour' I said and tried to lead her away from the battle but she pushed my arms away.
"Must help Alice, then go home" Daisy said simply and she touched a tree that was growing nearby.
A strange symbol that looked like the power symbol for computers appeared on the tree and the top split into four parts.
[Awakened Tree Worm] was what the beast was called and it tunneled into the ground, coming up to swallow the butler.
It was only for a few seconds but the worm exploded, the butler coming out almost unscathed.
"Now now missy, a lady like yourself shouldn't be playing with bugs, it is improper" Sable said and continued speaking: "Now it is time for your punishment, the master expects no less than a hardworking member of his faction." and almost as if he was the wind he appeared next to Daisy's side and roundhouse kicked her into the nearest building.
I roared with anger, my family was hurt, NO ONE HURTS MY FAMILY. My mind suddenly pictures a book, it starts to flip through the pages until a creature popped up.
Creature 49182: Tree Wraith
The tree wraiths are a type of soul stealing creature, they hide in the thick leaves of willows and grab unsuspecting prey. They then feast on the body and eat the soul.
I watched as a summoning portal opened, the tree wraith launched itself forward and the butler Sable tried to kick it away but it firmly grasped him.
"So you are allied already, it is pointless to continue then" Sable said and then he bellowed into the distance "Jester, this faction-less has been claimed, retreat immediately no point wasting lives."
"Such a party pooper why must we run,I was starting to have fun" Jester whined and his body dissipated into smoke, he materialize and grabbed Sable and they both sank into the darkness.
"Alice who were they, is Daisy Okay, what is going on here?" I questioned her, many of these questions started to appear in my head, one of them was exactly how did I summon the tree wraith?
"I would love to explain to you, but we must get medical help to Daisy, her body of hers isn't suited for damage like that." Alice said quickly
"Nearest hospital is miles away, she could die by then" I began to grow frantic.
"Who said we're going to the hospital, I know of a place and it is nearby" Alice said and she pulled out a card and threw it onto the ground.
"Get in, this is a teleportation card, quickly before it closes."
"I was shocekd at what she did and stumbled forward and stepped into the portal.
Traveling through the portal wasn't fun, I almost threw up multiple times, I felt woozy again, I shut my eyes and I could feel myself weaken.
Finally the sensation was over and looking around I saw multiple buildings set up like a private school and I was at the gate.
"Welcome Sam, to Van Sky Academy" Alice said, Daisy in a princess carry. "This will be your new home, as the regular world is now to dangerous to live in for you."
