"What a beauty!"— Thought Amelia, looking at a furry little menace that was before them: a Hydra four times the size of a normal one, this specimen had managed to scare all of the top predators in the area; Amelia, who received education at a Magic Academy, knew that there were 10 Levels of monsters, from the Many-Toothed Rabbit that accounted for twenty percent of finger loss in the country, to demonic creatures, such as the Doom Dragons or Fallen Angels; To combat these monsters, there existed three types of fighters: adventurers, from Lv one to four, Knights, up to Lv 8, and Heroes, up to Lv 10. This rating system presumed that each fighter level had the same battle power as its monster counterpart. A monster level higher could only be matched by ten fighters a level lower, while a level higher still required a force of one hundred.
In the region of the Mountain, it wasn't frequent that you could find a knight, for the highest level monster there was Hydra, with the Lv of four, and because they lived in large groups, an adventurer party consisted of twenty or so members. But the Giant Hydra before them could have been easily placed into Lv five, if not into six, because it was not easy to scare tens of its own, and hundreds of Trolls and griffins. And so, the little party could already cover themselves with spices, but Hydra just observed them, or rather than that, it observed a transparent dome. In a Giant Hydra’s mind, and yes, monsters were acutely intelligent, it has first seen something that shone so pretty from sun rays, not a boring glimmer of a white untouched snow. All of its heads had turned toward its new toy, observing it more closely, just until the moment when one of them had tried to lick the surface. It worked, and lick covered a half of the dome. The problem was in the following: Up high in the mountain reigned extreme temperatures, and when Giant Hydra tried to pull off one of its tongues, it couldn’t for it had STUCK. Panicked, our Giant Hydra (but not as much as our guys inside) flailed up and down, left and right, trying to snap the dome with its other heads, but couldn’t, due to a fear of biting its other head off. But because it didn’t know physics, after a rather violent jerk (and meal that vomited our little ones), the dome had been sent flying high into the air, with a Hydra’s tongue free of charge. While the people inside tried not to break their necks in a rotating frisbee, they hadn’t noticed that they were being hurled right into the eye of the snow blizzard, to the Mountain’s highest point. They finally landed, breaking deep into the snow and rock underneath, but it didn’t end their flight, for it looks like the layer was thin, and they continued falling down for a few more heartbeats until touching the ground and rolling over some times more.
« Well, that was a Ride! Can we do that again, and also, we got that Hydra’s tongue as a souvenir! »— uttered Amelia, who was rather joyful and adventurous at heart, which could be clearly seen in extreme situations like these.
« Oh, come on, how is that you can talk? We could have killed ourselves, and couldn’t you transform the Dome into something less flashy, to not make the Hydra so excited? Or just Camouflage us into a surrounding snow? And my clothes are ruined: just look at these cramps and…»

« As if I could see them, with the only light filtering through the hole that we made flying to here in passing, and what have you done then, snakie, and why not suggested this at that time or made something useful? »
« Said the Tomboy, at least I look like a… »
« I am sorry to break up your conversation, lasses, but oxygen is getting low, and as I think that my patience is already wearing up. Priscilla, make a fire to illuminate where we are (she has a fire speciality) and Amelia, I know that we had already alerted with all of this crushing-around the possible monsters that live here, but be ready to cover our retreat.»— ordered Beerley (who was also a mentor of the two girls), while disintegrating the dome that could crack open with a lightest touch due to all he punishment that it received during its very short live, while adventurers left a giant tongue behind and advanced forward.
By the looks of it, they got into an ancient Temple, that had a circular form and had a set of columns sustaining it, leading to its center, them being so high that very choir in the world would fight to death in order to have such an acoustic. The stone was carved right from the mountain, and with the information facilitated by Beerley, it was so smooth and right, that it looked as if it was a temple built in a Dragon Era, a time long forgotten, when these mighty creatures lived alongside the people, until they have been corrupted by an evil force.
After not a long walking session, our group reached the center, where they stood deciding what to do next.
«Well, I think that our mission is completed, as the mana concentration here is a lot higher, and we can inform the Academy, so that they send researchers and a knight or two to deal with the Giant Hydra. and we can go home, for even if it isn’t as cold out here as outside, I still miss my bathtub with hot water. »
« Priscilla, remember me to bring it on the next mission »
« Oh, thanks, Teacher, that’s so generous of you! »— said Priscilla, while imagining enjoying herself while the others carried her bathtub »
« But knowing Beerley, he would surely bring the bathtub, but only filled with beer and a hairy female dwarf inside! »
« Yuck! How can you be so cruel? » But Priscilla’s, or this line could also go to Beerley (for the idea of only ONE hairy female inside the bathtub absolutely abhorred him), couldn’t be heard, because of something enormous crashing into the Temple’s ceiling, and then falling to the ground, near the Adventurers and reeling to them. And yes, it was our old friend, the Giant Hydra. But before the battle could commence, the enormous monster lurched back, and fled into the opposite direction, through the hole where it came through.
The group’s joy was short, because there was someone standing beside them.
