Chapter 3

The blood that sipped out of the bears body was already gathered into a small pool. It had all been arranged by Wang Shitian.

He walked up to the small pool and directly sat inside, soaking his already stained bloody clothes.

He scooped the still warm blood with his hand and poured it over himself and started chanting the incantations of the invincible Vajra Body.

Before he knew it the blood started entering his body through his pores and was gradually being absorbed into his flesh.

AHHHHH!!!

Wang Shitian could not help but let out a blood curdling scream as the blood was being refined into his body. The pain was unbearable and even though there was a warning about it in the scripture, it was still beyond his imagination.

Veins popped out across his body and an observer would notice that the blood pumping through his body was now doing so at an incredible speed and as it did, his heartbeat increased in tandem.

But after all the indignation and injustice he felt in his heart, he was not going to let pain stop him.

The Invincible Vajra Body had one rule and that was, one can not go unconscious once the tempering has begun or risk having the meridians crippled.

Thus, despite the pain Wang Shitian never stopped reciting the scripture.

'the darkest hour is just before the dawn'. This he knew which is why he was sure there was a light at the end of this tunnel and it kept him going.

The blood kept on refining his muscles and soon all the wounds and injuries on his body were completely healed but it did not stop as his the condition of his body kept improving every second that passed and as his body improved, the small blood pool gradually decreased.

After about half and hour, the blood pool was completely dry and even the blood that had soaked his body had completely disappeared.

His eyes opened and even with the mental fatigue he could not help but smile as soon as he stretched his body.

He was excited to test his new strength but he knew he was running out of time as it was stated in the scripture that the energy within any living creature will completely disappear two hours after its death and as it stood he had a feeling that more than 40% of the bears essence had already been lost and what was left wasn't much.

Also the hunger he felt now was simply unbearable. As the strength of his body increase so too does its wants for supplements.

Luckily for him, he had found a rusty old knife buried in the ground a while ago and it is with this knife that he cut the beast into parts and carried it out of the hole. After moving farther from the forest, he started a fire and started a barbecue.

After persevering for half an hour the meat was ready and he started devouring it directly from the fire without even letting it to cool.

His appetite was great and the amount he consumed shocked even himself when he was finally full.

He had consumed about half of the bear. To his surprise he felt that the food was digesting at a terrifying speed.

Standing up, he did some small exercises and was very satisfied with his progress.

To complete muscle strengthening, he had to refine his muscles till he heard a roar from his muscles and after doing some punching exercise, he was no where close to completion.

Turning around and without hesitation he headed into the forest again.

How could Mao Song know that the person he thought was dead was now training without rest just to gain strength to kill him.

Right now he was relaxing in his room with two beauties by either side of him.

Looking closely, you could see that there were dresses lying on the floor belonging to handymen disciples. This is the strategy Mao Song used to live the good life in the sect, threats and extortion.

Knock knock knock

At this moment he heard a knock on the door "who is it?"

He asked irritated.

"Sir, they have already noticed his absence and are looking for him. You have been summoned" a voice came from outside the room. This was one of his lackeys.

"En" Mao Song nodded in response and started preparing to leave.

The One Leaf Sect was not a large sect and was very organised so as soon as someone goes missing it will be discovered quickly and investigated.

Mao Song knew this so he had already prepared a good explanation for the disappearance of Wang Shitian.

He left the room with a smile on his face, and exuded an air of confidence.

....

Meanwhile, Wang Shitian was now seated in another pool of blood with a tiger lying in front of him, dead.

He was at this moment chanting the scripture and enduring the pain. Soon two kinds of liquids could be seen on his skin. One was red and was the blood that was been absorbed while the other was black and smelly and made of impurities.

These impurities came not only from his body but from the beast blood and flesh he had consumed before.

His body now maintained a strange balance. While blood rushed in through pores, tiny blobs of black liquid were forced out through his pores too simultaneously.

He maintained this lotus position for a long time but the time was less than the duration of his first refinement.

When he opened his eyes he repeated the same process and roasted the tiger before eating it. This time he completely ate the tiger. His nutritional needs had increased exponentially in a very short period of time.

He jumped up only to realise that he could now jump up to 5m vertically.

He did a series of punches again but still did not hear the roar.

Without wasting time he decided to continue the hunt but this time he would fight the beast by himself and not use traps.
