THE ANARDAËAN CALENDAR

The calendar in Anardes resembles a lunar calendar, in that it comprises a seven-day week, a twenty-eight-day month, and a thirteenth-month year of 364 days. It is tied to the cosmology of the world that Anardes is a part of, with its thirteen main constellations dividing the night sky. Much of the information here has no bearing on the story and is simply provided for those who wish to delve deeper into the finer workings of the Anardaëan world.

COMMANDS OF STARLIGHT

Channelling one’s starlight into a useable enchantment involves intention, declaration, and direction. The user must first intend to tap into the flow and vast reserve of lifeforce and seek to connect their own flow with that of the world. Then, one must declare the words and shape the initial burst of starlight. Finally, once this flow is opened and active, it must be continually directed toward purpose, whether to endow, mend, or indeed (in the case of corrupted starlight) harm.
