CHAPTER 3: THE WORLD’S POWER AND THEIR JOURNEY

1. LEAVING THE DARK FOREST

The group finally exited the Dark Forest, stepping into the open world beyond. The oppressive air of the cursed woods was gone, replaced by the fresh breeze of the plains. The protagonist took a deep breath, trying to process everything that had happened.

Despite the relief of leaving the forest, they could not afford to slow down. They were still in danger.

Lira turned to him. "You're new to this world, right? I suppose now is a good time to explain how things work here."

2. THE NINE CONTINENTS AND THEIR SPECIALTIES

As they walked, Lira began her explanation.

"This world is divided into nine continents. The one we just left is the Dark Forest—the largest landmass, ruled by no one. Most consider it a cursed land, but there are rumors that a Demon King resides somewhere deep within."

She continued:

1. Dark Forest – The largest landmass, lawless and unclaimed. Rumors say a Demon King lives here.

2. Plasis – A military powerhouse bordering the Dark Forest. Its knights are among the strongest.

3. Altania – Another large country, known for its elite warriors and noble families.

4. United of Magicians – A mage-only nation where non-magical people are not allowed to live.

5. Swo – A land of mercenaries and bounty hunters, where strength determines status.

6. City of Freedom – A neutral land, a mix of all races and professions. It has no king, only guild leaders.

7. Guardia – The protagonist’s summoning country. A small kingdom where elves and humans coexist.

8. Barbarians' Land – A harsh land where only the strongest survive. The people are battle-hardened warriors.

9. Vinland – An isolated island nation in the ocean. Outsiders are strictly forbidden from entering.

"The balance between these nations is fragile," Lira said. "War could break out at any time."

3. THE POWER SYSTEM OF THIS WORLD

The protagonist listened carefully, realizing he had no idea how strength was measured in this world.

Lira continued, "Unlike your world, people here do not grow stronger through effort alone. Power is granted by the gods. If a god acknowledges someone, they will bestow upon them a special ability or blessing."

"Then... what about those who don't get one?" the protagonist asked.

"They must find another way," Lira said. "Some train as warriors, using their own energy instead. This has led to different types of fighters."

TYPES OF FIGHTERS AND MAGIC USERS

1. God’s Chosen (Blessed) – Those who are granted unique abilities from a god. They often become powerful figures.

2. Aura Swordsman – Fighters who use their own life energy to enhance their strength. No god’s blessing needed.

3. Spirit Swordsman – Swordsmen who channel spirit energy, which is closer to magic.

4. Magicians – Those who are born with magic potential and study spells. Most live in the United of Magicians.

5. Elementalists – People who form pacts with elemental spirits, gaining the power of fire, water, wind, or earth.

Althar scoffed. "People rely too much on the gods’ blessings. Real warriors forge their strength themselves."

The protagonist clenched his fists. If power was given by the gods, then what did that mean for him? Was he chosen, or was he just another ordinary human?

4. MEETING THEIR PARTY IN ALTANIA

They arrived at a hidden outpost in Altania, where their party members were waiting. Among them were other summoned heroes, and the protagonist finally met them for the first time.

Some looked strong and confident, already used to this world. Others were nervous and uncertain, much like him.

Lira didn’t give them much time to talk. "We can’t stay here. Altania is watching us. If they realize what we’re planning, they might try to use the heroes for themselves."

The plan was simple: cross the border into Guardia illegally to avoid political complications.

5. THE ESCAPE THROUGH ALTANIA

* They disguised themselves as travelers in a merchant caravan.

* The protagonist wore a cloak and simple clothing to blend in.

* Althar, clearly annoyed, removed his elven armor to avoid suspicion.

As they traveled through Altania, they encountered border patrols checking travelers. One guard stopped their caravan and inspected them closely.

The protagonist held his breath. If they were caught, it was over.

But after a tense moment, the patrol let them pass. They were free.

6. ARRIVAL IN GUARDIA

After two days of travel, they finally crossed into Guardia—the land where humans and elves coexisted.

The protagonist gazed at the peaceful fields stretching before him. This was the kingdom that had summoned him. It was small compared to Altania and Plasis, but it had its own strength.

As he walked, he couldn’t stop thinking about what he had learned.

* This world was divided into powerful nations, all with their own strengths and secrets.

* Strength was dictated by the gods, but not everyone was granted their favor.

* He was summoned, but he still didn’t know what power he had—if any.

One thing was clear—his journey was only beginning.
