Well it's my first time writing a story. It's really cliche and maybe annoying to read for some people.

I created this this story because inspired by those JP LN or WN that I know, that's why anyone who hate it don't have to read it.

I would appreciate any criticism or suggestions.

Wherever I see it’s just all pitch-black darkness. It’s like representing the meaning of void. What would one feel within such a condition? Fear? Sorrow? Despair? Anger? Ease? I wonder. At least those are how I felt. How long it’s been like this and how much longer it will be like this? Might it be for eternity? Even so, what could I do about it? No, there's nothing I could do. I wonder if I’m no more-

Enough! For now, I need to stop thinking so dramatically myself. Truth to be told I just had a sleep paralysislike usual. I’m even unable to just open my eyes for some minutes ago that’s why it’s dark. Right now I should be able to open my eyes; I still can’t move my body though. 

Uwa! So bright! Just as I try toopen my eyes the brightness around me dazzling my eyes. Seems I need to adjust my eyes to the light for a sec... Eeh! Who is he?

I’m dumbfounded. Up close to my face, there’s a white boy around four with golden blondish hair and golden eyes. He has a nice featured face, although it seems rather cute. I stared at him and he stared back at me curiously.

Wait! Wait! Wait! Who?! Why there’s an unfamiliar kid that barged in my bedroom? Were his parents didn't do well in educating him about manner? Still, I’m very sure that we don’t have any foreigners as a neighbor. Is he a tourist? a lost kid? Or such? If so, why he’s coming to my bedroom in the first place?

“Mm… ah… you’re here Juli. Do you need anything?"

"Yes! I want to see it."

"It? Do you mean your little siblings? Ara- it seems your little sister awake."

Besides the boy, I hear a woman’s voice near me. Why there’s an unfamiliar woman in my room too? Surely I didn't do weird stuff tonight. Besides, there should be no other woman in this house except Auntie and Misaki. Suddenly a hand encircling me and carrying me up like a baby.

EEH?!! WHAT THE-?!!

No no no. Calm down… calm down…

As I look up I see a beautiful woman with a nice featured face that resembles the boy earlier. But instead of golden hair and eyes, she has silver long hair and crystal aqua eyes.

With their unnatural hair and eye color are they wearing wig and contact lens? Besides neither the boy's clothes nor the woman's dress are casual modern clothes instead it looks like a nice middle-ages attire. Are they cosplaying? Then looking around the room that instead of my stufftherewere many luxurious types of furniture. It's clearly not my bedroom then where the hell am I?

*Poke Poke*

The boy poking my cheek while looking at me with a dumb face.

"Ehe, it's weird."

Huh? What did you say, lad? Trying to pick a fight here? Then I'll gladly give you a lesson after this.

"Juli, you shouldn't say improper like that. Although she doesn't understand it yet, we should say a good thing to a baby."

"I… I'm sorry mama."

"Well... it's good that you understood Juli."

Huh? She? Do you mean me? Baby? Do you mean me?

No... It's useless... I can't deny it any longer. Considering how they treated me, how I can’t move my body, and how small I feel compared to them then I could conclude that right now I'mindeed a baby. It doesn't look like a dream either. Then how come it came to this?

Right… So what I did before wasn’t a dream but a reality.

WHAT THE FUCK HAD I DONE!!!

I committed suicide by shot my own head with a gun. Oh man! Oh man! What’s wrong with me?! I'm aware that I had my weird side to begin with. But, how?!

It was a pistol that used to belongs to my late father. He’s police so that must be natural that he has one personally. Some day after he died during his work I secretly took his gun that he hid in his room.And I bring it too when I moved to Uncle's and Auntie's house. Back then Ionly think it would be cool if I had one. Yet I never thought that I woulduse that to end my own life. I thought it was a dream because I did it so naturally and I feel nothing wrong in doing that.

DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMN IT ALL!!!

Tch! Why the hell I did that? Even after I did swear to myself that I would repay Uncle's and Auntie's kindnessf taking care of someone like me. Yet in the end I made them troubled by taking care of my dead body. I could only hope that at least they won’t have to deal with police investigation too long. Really... I'm sorry...

Still...there's Misaki whom I promised that I would do anything for her yet I barely did anything for her. I'm fully aware that I'm just a boy fallen madly in love with her who's willing to do anything for his loved one even his loved one never asked anything but just to stay by her side. My reason for having those silly thoughts a silly reason too that is 'her happiness is my happiness'.

For now, I have to mind my current situation more. Surely I died. Then considering the situations it must be ‘THAT’.

Unbelievable that something that should only happen in light novel did happen in real life to me no less. Ugh! Whatever going to happen, let it happened, I guess.

So, is my life as Hikaru Kamiki is over then? I wonder if it’s good or bad that my memories of my previous life still remained.

I don’t think I could sort my thoughts for now and I too started to get drowsy even just after waking up. While the boy still playing with my hand as I closing my eyes I could hear a baby crying close by. Whatever... maybe it’s just another weird dream so it's all will once I truly wake up.

Or not, It’s just the same as before with the same unfamiliar a feeling in an unfamiliar place. After trying so hard to look around I realized that I’m inside a baby cradle and there’s another baby in another baby cradle beside mine. The woman and the boy from some while ago aren’t around it seems, instead there is a woman with a maid like attire looking after me. Perhaps she’s a babysitter. Alright then... huh?

Suddenly there are two masked persons with an all-black costume that appears out of nowhere behind the maid. They looked like the typical ninja that I had in mind. Without making the maid notice one of the ninja made her unconscious by putting a handkerchief over her nose then put her on the floor without harming her. Then he put a handkerchief over my nose too.

With the sounds of shakingof the surrounding, I wake up. It does feel like I’m inside a carriage. Looking around I could see a good-looking boy around high schooler age carrying a baby on the opposite seat. In the front seat, there is an adult man driving this two horsed carriage. On the outside, everything is covered by snow and this carriage moving in the middle of a deserted road that only illuminated by dim moonlight. And the one who’s carrying me right now is a beautiful black-haired girl. Hehe... rather lucky aren't I?

Heheheh, right now I'm a baby so why don’t I-

...

Damn!

Because of this blanket that tightly covered me entirely; I couldn’t move my arm as I wanted. So I dismiss the idea to touch the girl's chest for the time being.

After the likes of a few hours the carriage stopped. The reason is there're a group of ten people with a rough appearance blocking the road. Are they a group of bandits? Well whatever they're, they pointing their weapon toward us. One of them shouts at us to come out.

“Father, Should I?”

“Sensei?”

“No. You guys stay inside.”

With calm voice the man saying that to the guy and the girl. At that instant moment too he disappears from his seat and suddenly appeared in front of the one that was shouting. With inhuman swift movements, he slashed the bandit. Every single strike would sever their head or cut their body apart. Then within less than a minute the clean white ground necame dirtied by thick red substances.

Woah! Scary...  seeings such killing scenery directly is quite disturbing I must say. Then again, he's ninja so it must be natural for him. Even the bandits are the wrong bunch I think it still too brutal for him to just kill them with no saying any word at all.

The man just stood still in his place then turns his body to slash an arrow that darting toward him. In that instant moment, he disappeared again followed by a scream from the bushes of the trees.

After checking around one more time, the man walking back. Then he checking his clothes which seems to make sure no speck of blood to be seen after that he casually started to drives the carriage again.

I wonder if he would teach me if I ask him in the future?

No, I couldn’t really be hoping something nice that was involved with kidnapping, could I? Yeah, I shouldn't mess up him instead.

“We don’t know what will come at us after this, so stay sharp.”

"“Understood.""

Really... What the heck had happened to me? I couldn't follow it at all. Honestly, I don't think I could give a damn about anything as long I somehow still alive by tomorrow. 

Please God... Whoever God out there... Let me alive... I beg you...

Gulp!

I froze in my place terrified knowing what a reality I’m in… seems God isn't answered my prayers. Even though it's winter noon the temperature around is colder than it should be.

Everyone here is no exception even the calm and collected man who kills the bandits with ease a night ago having grimaced expression showing that even he doesn’tlike this situation either.

Still, isn’t this kind of event is too fast? It is right? I’m only in the outside world for just a few fuckin' days and yet there’s that kind of creature appeared before us. What kind of creature it is called? Monster, right it’s a monster. Its appearance resembling a western type dragon except instead of a dinosaur posture it has a humanoid posture with the high around seven meters tall.

Although scared shitless myself I still in awe of its appearance which I must say... It's stylish. Most of its body is icy blue with crystal-like decorations. Even its fangs, claws, horns, tail, wings, and every other part of its body have some degree of arts on them. Like a tough boss-type monster in a video game that will give anyone who defeated it a rare material for creating or upgrading a weapon or armor or any games stuff. So no matter how oblivious I'm to this world it's clear that this thing is no ordinary monster.

Yeah, what kind of an ordinary monster which flying like a jet over the sky then diving sharply to the ground not to instantly finish us off by ambush instead it greets us with a speech that sounded like 'Roaaarrrr!' before putting a fighting stance.

And with such thundering roar, the other baby that been carried by the boy started to cry like crazy. Instead of trying to calm the baby, he's silenced the baby with that handkerchief which seems filled with sleeping drug. From now on I have to be mindful of my actions if I don't want to be silenced like that.

"What in the world we have to meet such a monster... Koga, it’s time to see how much your training had been paid off. Kasumi, you take care of the baby."

So that the boy and girl name huh? As the man ordered the boy hand over the other baby to the girl. Then he dismounted the carriage by carrying a katana on his back.

*ROAARRR!!!*

Once again the monster roaring, stating that the battle begins. In the blink of an eye, the boy had already in front of the monster leg then swinging his katana in many quick slash. Sadly those slashes had only grazed the ice armor around the monster.

The man too he jumped towards the monster head swinging his katana aiming the monster eye just to be somersault kick by the monster. Had the man not react fast enough to dodge he surely would suffer great injury if not dead considering the difference in physical stats.

The man then pulling out some marble sized ball from his pocket then throwing them around monster. It then exploded, surrounding the monster with fully thick smoke.

Then the two throwing many darts toward the monster from every direction they run. Its exploded once it hit the target.

Again the monster howling to create a gust of blizzards around its body, wiping the smokes that surrounding it.

In the instant moment the blizzards faded, the man throwing another few marble sized balls toward the monster head. It exploded instantly as a bright blinding light, caught the monster off guard.

Not letting this chance go, the two immediately attack it with their katana which suddenly engulfed with blazing fire. With swift and skillful techniques slashing every part of the monster.

'Woah! So it's really fantasy world huh?' Right, it’s really stupid for me to have such thought.

More importantly the monster doesn't let them keep attacking itself. It then countering every attack of the two, sending the two away.

Indeed it's definitely boss monster because even with such skillful attacks, it doesn't suffer any damages except its broken decorated armor. If that isn't enough the monster instantly recreated those armor like nothing happened. Yup, it's boss type monster alright.

"What!? Damn! Father! Could it be-?"

"Ah... We're doomed. Not only it's strong, it appears that it fight with a technique too."

Although I don't hear what're those two talk about somehow I know what they’re talking about. Looking at the monster who is constantly keeping its fighting stance and keeping a distance it's clear that this monster is smart enough. I once hear or read whether it's from anime or manga or light novel that 'what's scarier than a strong monster is a strong monster that fights like a human'.

"However why doesn't it attack us yet? So far it's only parrying or purposely taking our attack. Could it be waiting for us to be tired?"

"Who knows. It looks like it going to attacks now. It seems we have to reveal our trump."

"Understood."

The monster start to changing his stance that looks more aggressive.

Realizing this, the two began making like a hand seal and chanting something, another magic I suppose.

In similar way of when it recreates its armor, the monster creates long icy claws like swords attached to its arm. Then it throws two ice lances that it created instantly after it created claws to the two consecutively.

Of course, avoiding an attack like that is like a child play to them however as soon as they avoided those lance the monster claws already greet them. Both of the ninja body being cut apart however instead of blood-red splatter; their body turns into black mist before disappeared. 'What?!'

Even the monster seemed to be startled because it jumped back to avoid any surprise attacks.

However, contrary to the monster thought, the surprise attacks actually began to the monster landing. As soon as the monster foot's touch the ground; two silhouettes appeared from its shadow then entwined its body, cutting anything it's touched.

The monster trying to catch them however there's no way that shadow could be touched. Shocked by this revelation, the monster howling with another ground-shaking roar which create more powerful blasting shockwave of blizzard around its body before jumping high to the sky flapping its bursting wings which emanating starlight snow particles.

Seems even the two shadow silhouette can't reach that high alone. Even though the monster didn't suffer any damages except its broken armor which could be easily recreated, the monster doesn't seem about doing anything either as the temperature around beginning to normalize. It rising higher to the clouds then with a jet-like speed the monster flying away in the opposite direction we're headed.

”Hanzo-sensei! Koga-kun are you alright?"

Oh! The girl's voice snaps me back to reality. In the shadow area nearby, two shadow silhouettes slowly begin to materialize into humans form then before long it became two people that are the man and the boy.

Really... What a fantasy world...

"Don't worry we're fine. ...Although personally, I surprised that we're still alive after meeting such creature."

I wonder how stronger human in this world actually are. Looking at these two who doesn't seem that tired even after battling that thing it's amazed me. The battle didn't going on too long and the monster too didn't go all out; perhaps these were the reason.

"Do you know anything about it, father?"

"... I'm not sure. However, there are two things I'm sure. First, that monster is a kind of monster that could only be defeated by a chosen hero with his or her companions..."

Before continuing his word the man looking at the other baby and me, giving me a bad premonition.

"Second... It could kill us the moment it saw us. Yet it didn't do so which may be related to these two."

"".....""

Oh please don't look at us like that, we're just pathetic babies, we have nothing to do with a monster. So why don't we just call it a bad and a bit of good luck? A bad for us to meet it, a good for us to still alive. Right... pretty please...

"Well...Whatever it is, for now we have to reached a nearby city soon."
