Chapter 0 - Prologue:

Alex Crimson was floating through the void, thinking. His soul is on the verge of dissipation with little time left. Moments before the worst could happen, he spotted another soul floating through the void. “Thats strange, normal souls should not be here. I wonder what it is here for? Maybe its like me? A cursed soul? But why is it so weak?” Thinking that, he slowly approached the soul. However, he suddenly realises something. The soul did not have a marker. “Wait, where is the marker? … Co-... Could it be? Am I so lucky as to stumble on an ownerless soul? WAIT! There is something. There is a small marker on it. But it’s different. Well in any case, the only path to survive is to merge. Altho I hate it, it shall be done.” With that, he swallows the soul, merging into another being. Strange memories start to flood him. Memories of a world, far different from his own. A world of science, where magic is a no more than a myth. However, there were countless stories of people gaining magical powers in various works of fiction. The sheer amount of information, together with the fact his soul bound memories were destabilised, erased countless years of his memory.

“I… feel different. What was I before this? … Why do I remember the memories of two lifetimes? In one I was Alex and in the other I was Matt Stevens, a man who commited suicide in hopes of reincarnating in a magical world somehow. Don’t ask me about the logic, the man was a fool.”

Soon after, a whirlpool like spacial storm happened and sucked the new soul inside.

“… what the fuck? This… it feels different. It’s trying to erase my memories huh. Yeah fuck that!” I guard against the force trying to rip my memories out. However, due to my unfamiliarity with the new state I am in, resulting in the loss of many more of my memories.
