AN: ... I know, I'm a perv!
******************************
The morning after the ball, I woke up Louise by slapping her and shaking her by her butt, and retrieved the stick I had left there. After dressing her up, we left for the day. There was the class about wind element, for which the professor said that the wind elment was the strongest, and as a demonstration, blasted away Kirche's best spell. He even said that the wind element was stronger than the void one.
“I believe you're wrong professor Kaita.”
“Oh? And you are? Wait, aren't you miss Valiere's familiar? How come a commoner dare tell a mage, a teacher no less, that he is wrong?”
“Sir, there are many ways to use magic. And it's not only about power, it's also about the caster experience with the element, his mastery over it. You've used wind element for much longer than Kirche used fire. You're more familiar with the element thus can use it more efficiently than someone with the same power but only a few years of experience.”
Hearing that, the people who looked at me like I was an idiot changed their expressions. They realised that what I said made sense, and even the teacher, although displeased, couldn't really deny what I said.
“Faced with an opponent of the same level of skill and experience, the result wouldn't be the same. And it also depend on the spells used and the fighting styles of the casters. It's almost impossible to tell which of the 4 elements is the strongest. As for void, based on the bit of information left, it was probably stronger than the 4 elements. That is still just my opinion, but I believe it makes sense.”
At that time, a nervous professor Colbert in a weird attire entered the classroom and announced that the lessons were cancelled. He announced that princess Henrietta would pass by the academy on her way to the capital after coming back from Germania.
Later when she arrived and got of the carriage, Kirche argued that she was prettier and asked for my opinion. I told her that they were both equaly beautiful but different, one like the sun and the other like the moon. She was satisfied with that. But I also noticed Louise blush when she saw a certain someone. Her acquitance, the cool looking noble, lord Wardes. The traitor. I got angry when I saw Kirche blushing when looking at him. Tabitha wasn't affected.
That night, in the room, Louise couldn't calm down. It lasted until someone knocked at the door in a special code. That made Louise come back to reality and she went to open the door. A girl wearing a black veil came in and Louise closed the door behind her.
“A pleasure to meet you princess Henrietta. For you to come here at night, I believe it's because you and Louise know each other. I would even say you are friends. I'm the familiar she summoned, Hiraga Saito. But you can just call me Saito. Don't worry, there is noone spying on the room now, I made sure of it.”
Of course the 2 girls were shocked by my words. The princess revealed her face and Louise kneeled. Henrietta gave Louise a hug, overcome by emotions. Louise told her to act properlly, but I rebuked her, telling her that the princess didn't sneak here to see a subject, but a friend, and that if she still consider herself her friend, she would accept it. Thus, Louise relucantly dropped the formalities.
They chatted a bit about their childhood memories, then the mood dropped as the princess announced her engagement.
“Since you just came back from Germania, I'm guessing the marriage will be with them. And that's probably to make an alliance with Germania. But why now? You aren't at war or in a bad relationship with Germania, even though it also can't be said to be good. So I think its for an alliance, but against who?”
“... I'm impressed... And yes, you're right. There was an insurrection among the nobles of Albion, and it looked like the Royal Family would soon be overthrown. If the rebels won, then the next thing would be the invasion of Tristain. To defend against this, Tristain was looking to form an alliance with Germania. For the alliance's sake, it was decided that I would be married into the Germanian Imperial Family.”
“But I don't think that's the only thing you're worried about. The rebels from Albion would probably try their best to keep the marriage from happening so Germania and Tristain don't become allies, that is the real concern you have.”
“... Again, you're right. There is a letter that I had written some time ago... If those Albion nobles get their hands on it... they would probably send it forward to the Germanian Imperial Family as soon as they could.”
"What kind of letter could that be?"
"......That I cannot tell you. But if the Germanian Imperial Family were to read it...... they would never forgive me. The marriage would fall through, and with it, the alliance with Tristain. Then Tristain would stand alone against the strength of Albion."
“... And the letter is already in Albion, right?”
"Albion! But then...! Is it already in the enemy's hands?"
"No... the one who holds the letter is not with the rebels of Albion. As the conflict between the rebels and his kinsmen unfolded, Prince Wales of the Royal Family..."
"The Prince Wales? The Prince Valiant?"
“I see, if he falls in the hands of the rebels, the letter will as well. Unless we can do something about it. You may be unwilling to ask that of your precious friend Louise, but if you ask me, I may be able to do something about it. You must have already noticed, but I'm not an idiot. You definitly do not know this, but I'm strong. Stronger than what I look like.”
"So you will help me? Louise Françoise! You are a dear friend!"
"Of course! Princess! I, Louise, forever friend of the princess, will be your confidante! Have you forgotten my vow of eternal loyalty?"
"Ah, the loyalty. This loyalty and sincere friendship! I'm deeply moved. I will never forget through life your loyalty and friendship! Louise Françoise!"
"Then shall we go to Albion, find the Crown Prince of Wales, and get the letter back, Princess?"
"Yes, that is correct. I feel confident that you, the ones who have caught Fouquet the Crumbling Earth, should be able to accomplish this difficult mission."
"As you wish. How urgent is this task?"
"I've heard that the nobles of Albion have managed to drive the royalists into a corner of the country. It will just be a matter of time before they are defeated."
“We will depart tomorrow. Don't worry princess, Louise is my master, I'll bring her back safe and sound.”
“Thank you very much, mister familiar.”
She held out her, and I naturally took it and kissed her, without missing to use essence. Enough to make her flustered. After that, I silently went to the door, suddenly opened it and dragged the one behind inside. Then I closed the door.
“Guiche de Gramont. It's bad to eavesdrop. Girls, just so you know, he heard everything we said, so we will take him along to make sure he doesn't leak any informations. Besides, his valkyries will be usefull for this important mission. Louise, princess, he will come with us.”
Afterward, he reviewed the details of the mission. Henrietta wrote a letter, sealed it and entrusted it to Louise for the prince. She also gave her her ring as lucky charm.
At dawn the next day, Louise, Guiche and I were preparing our horses. I also got to see Guiche's familiar for the first time, the mole Verdandi. He asked to take him along and I agreed on the condition that he would be as fast as a horse, which was the case. However, Verdandi suddenly become interested in Louise and bothered her until she got on the ground. As Guiche and I enjoyed the show, a gust of wind blew Verdandy away. The traitor had come.
Viscount Wardes said that he was sent by the princess to accompany us. And he also introduced himself as Louise's fiance. Thus the 2 finally greeted each other and acted a bit lovey dovey, but I already knew his true nature. His good man act was good, acting like a proper senior with us. Thus we left the academy, Guiche and I on horses, Wardes on his griffin with Louise.
The pace was fast and Guiche was on the brink of exhaustion. I had to secretly give him some energy, and acted tired to hide my true strenght from Wardes and avoid plot complications. Well, that gave me time to chat a bit with Guiche. At dusk, as we neared the port town where we would take the flying boat for Albion, we were ambushed by mercenaries.
As arrows rained on us, I went near Guiche and used Derf to deflect the arrows coming toward us. 'Showing this much ability should be fine, just that the following attack would be stronger than in the original.'
Just as Wardes was putting on his senior act, I detected Kirche and Tabitha on her dragon. Tabitha took care of the archers, then they landed next to me. Of course, Louise wasn't pleased to see Kirche. Tabitha was in pyjamas, reading a book, and I pated her head as thanks. With energy infusion.
As I interrogated the attackers with Guiche, Kirche tried to seduce Wardes but was coldly rejected. Thus she feigned a joke and went to snuggle against me, but I acted disappointed while using energy. 'Think I'm angry and try harder, in the end, you'll be completely mine'. Since the attackers didnt have any informations, we all left them there and went to the port city La Rochelle.
Since the ship for Albion wouldn't leave before the day after, we would have the night and the next day to rest. For the inn arrangement, it would be 2 people per room, with Wardes and Louise together. I didn't object, but used my eyes to say I didn't really like it. Just to get Louise. However, before they left, I took Louise aside for a few minutes. I made sure nobody was listening.
“Louise, mister Wardes is someone you know since you were little, he is a friend of your family. I know you appreciate him, but let me warn you that you shouldn't completely trust him.”
She tried to protest but I blocked her mouth and lightly glared at her. That made her calm down.
“Listen. Just like I saw through miss Longueville and princess Henrietta, I can tell that he is still hiding something. And because of that, you shouldn't completely trust him. You don't know anything about what he did and experienced when he was away. Even if you ask him, he may lie to you, or not tell you the whole truth. I know he is someone close to you, but still, be carefull.”
With that said, I left her. I didn't go to my room and instead stayed on the roof, staying with Guiche would be a bit annoying. Derf was noisy enough. But we were interrupted by Kirche, who landed on my shoulders and covered my head with her skirt. Using energy when she stuck to me was almost a reflex now. I took her off of me but still enjoyed the view. Though I acted displeased, I still spend some time with her before going to bed.
The next day, early in the morning, Wardes, came to get me. He just called me 'familiar', that bastard. He asked me if I was the Gandalfr of the legends, and I just said that I didn't know the legends of the continent. Looks like Louise even told him I was from another world, that idiot. He said he made research about Gandalfr, and asked to know how strong the one who captured Fouquet was.
At that time, I realised that I didn't really know Wardes objectives, I always brushed it aside. I though I would at least show him that I was on par with him, to an extend. We went to an area of the hotel that could be used as training ground. There, he declared that we would have a duel between 2 people fighting for a lover. Thus, I decided to not let him win, though I would aim for a tie.
Louise appeared, apparantly called by him to be the witness. Louise tried to stop us, but it was useless. Wardes pulled his wand, and I pulled Derf. My sword clashed with his wand numerous time, but neither of us were bothered. We were just feeling each other. Wardes, who was originallly looking down on me, distanced himself from me.
“I see that you're a skillful one. I guess we should get serious after that warm up.”
“Agreed.”
This time, the exchanges had nothing to do to what it was a few moments ago. Wardes used magic, blending his chants with his swordmanship. In response, I increased my speed and strenght, keeping him completely focused on not letting me get a clean hit. I would either endure his magic attacks or break them with raw power, and Derf's magic absorption ability.
“.. You! What strange arts are you using to protect your body?”
“An old, lost, secret art from my world. Very few are the ones still believing in the principles behind it, and even fewer could barely use it. It's to the point where the common people think it's just a myth.”
We started to rip our clothes, and get scratches and light injuries. Louise was getting increasingly worried and started to plead us to stop, so I created an opening and delivered a kick to his belly, enough to make him retreat a 2 steps. Then I sheathed Derf before he could resume his attacks.
“Let's leave it for later. If we continue we will get injured before accomplishing our mission. We must be in our best condition tomorrow.”
'I see, if it was the original, he would have broken Saito's confidence in being able to protect Louise. He wanted to separate me from Louise, but he couldn't. I even scored some points with Louise. But still, he didn't show all his strenght. I remember now, he also can make wind clones and use lightning. But I'm OP anyway. Ho ho ho ho ho!!'
-------
With the duel ending in a tie, we went our separate ways. That night we were all at the bar, with me mostly listening to the others with a pensive look, and Kirche trying to get my attention. Just to throw a bone, I caressed her cheek for a second, and that got her really happy. But at that moment, I detected the enemies approaching.
“Guiche, Kirche, Tabitha, prepare for battle. Stay here, you will be surrounded if you go out. Guiche, use the golems for defense only and to protect yourselves from arrows, Kirche and Tabitha will take care of the attack. Use your energy sparingly. I have my own enemy to deal with. Don't worry about me.”
Thus I left and went where I detected a familiar presence. Fouquet was on the shoulder of her golem, who looked stronger, and on the other side was a masked man, Wardes clone.
“Good evening miss Longueville, I didn't expect to see you again so soon. After all, you were supposed to be in jail.”
“Somebody had a kind heart, a beauty like myself should be contriving to the welfare of the world, so they let me escape.”
“If you wanted to help the world, you should have asked me. I would have taken you as a subordinate and taken good care of you. So, what are you doing here?”
“I am here to thank you for the long vacation you gave me, I am here to send you my appreciation!”
“Come on, you don't have to be so angry you know. It wasn't like we had anything against you. Holding grudges isn't good for mental health, it will wear your mind.”
As she attacked, I waited until the golem's foot masked me from her view, and used my insane speed to climb on the golem and reach the shoulder where she stood before she could notice me. Along the way, I threw a knife to the chest of the masked man. It had a 1 time enchant to provoke short term paralysis and numb the senses, so the clone fell to the ground, unable to move or use magic, and unable to hear or see anything.
I arrived behind Longueville, took her wand with one hand and used the other to place Derf's blade against her throat. She almost jumped in surprise, and shuddered in fear of the blade against her skin. While speaking to her, I used energy and suggestions.
“Look here miss Longueville. From the little conversation you had with Kirche, I can tell that one way or the other, you were hurt badly by nobility. I don't know the details, but you were definitly a victim. I'm sure that not all of your actions were made solely for your sake alone. You may be cunning and calculating, but I don't think you're completely heartless. I'm sure of it. I could capture you again right now. But I won't, all for the sake of those helpless people you're caring for.”
The last sentence made her whole body shake. I knew she was taking care of orphans, among them, the beautifull half-elf in the forest of Albion. The problem with Albion wasn't due to royalty, but to the greedy and arrogant nobles. And also due to the fact that they wanted a change that was too big.
Longueville was not only beautiful, but also skilled, and barely 23yo. I wanted her. I knew that in the original, she would slowly fall for Wardes. Fuck him. I wanted her for myself. So I planted the seeds. I slightly modified my position so she could look at me. I used my suggestion ability to lightly hypnotise her, because she was a tough nut to crack. I wanted to enjoy myself in that world, and make a harem of pretty, skilled and devoted women, so of course I cheated.
“For you, I may be just a poor commoner that was summoned by an annoying little noble girl, I'm anything but that. I'm not an ignorant and naïve brat.” 'Just a perverted youth with knowledge of future events and OP abilities!' “You said that a noble soul freed you so you could help better the world? I can tell it wasn't a joke, even though it sounded like one when you said it. It was the blatant truth. You were recruited by people who want to change the world, right?”
Once again, her reaction confirmed what I already knew. I looked at her with a calm and understanding gaze as I was speaking to her, along with the slight hypnotism and energy stimulation.
“I may not be from here, and lacking in knowledge of the area, but there is a lot of other things that I have knowledge of. There is a lot that I can do, more than you may think. It's just that it's not good to rush things, or it will backfire. With time, you'll understand. If one day you seek me, you'll know where to find me. You will find happiness at my side.”
With that said, I left her and joigned the other inside the building through the roof. She didn't immediately continue with her attack. Wardes and the other students were being suppressed.
Stolen story; please report.
After talking among themselves about the situation, Wardes spoke.
“Everyone listen carefully. This mission counts as complete if one half of the group arrives safely at the destination. ”
Tabitha pointed at herself, Kirche and Guiche and said “bait”, while pointing at Louise, Wardes and me and telling us to go to the harbor. I agreed with the plan, and I left with Louise and Wardes after pating her head while using energy. After sneaking out of the hotel, we rushed toward the harbor. As we were getting close to the harbor, Wardes masked clone attacked us. The clone tried to kidnap Louise and Wardes “rescued” her. Then the clone faced me, while Wardes was with Louise.
I used a movement technique to reach the clone and blew him away with a fist infused with energy. I acted tired as I ushered the dumbfounded 2 to move before the other caugh up. We reached the ship and Wardes forced the captain to depart for Albion earlier. As we took of, I could tell that Wardes was irritated. He had prepared a stage to show off to Louise but I blew it away. However, now he believed my super punch would deplete me of all my energy.
The next day, seeing the floating land of Albion was impressive. I was glad to have come to this universe. As we were nearing the land, we were attacked by a pirate ship. Another thing from the original I completely forgot. Since they were armed with canons and that we were in the sky, we didn't resist. We were caugh and captured by the pirates. Not like I particulary cared.
We were disarmed and put in the cargo hold. After some time the boss of the pirates called us. There were 2 people there. The boss asked us to betray the nobles, but since Louise refused, he took of his disguise and revealed himself as the general of the Albion Royal Air Force, though the ship was the only one left. The other person was the prince of Albion, Wales Tudor.
While Louise and Wardes were surprised, I greeted them and introduced Louise and Wardes. Louise gave me a weird look but I signaled with my eyes that it was ok. She moved to hand the letter to the prince but hesitated. To confirm his identity, he revealed the magic link between the gem on the princess ring and the gem on his own. Afterward, he received the letter and carefully read it. After confirming the content, we learned that we had to retreive the first letter at the castle.
We reached the castle with the ship through a hidden pass under the landmass. After meeting the rest of the royalty faction, Louise realised how terrible their situation was after hearing them joke about their coming end. Later in the prince's room, Louise received the letter from the Wales. Then Louise asked about the “glorious defeat” the prince was talking about with his faction. He told her the truth, the he and his followers were prepared to all die in their next battle.
It was 300 against 50000. I could deal with them, but didn't want to, for my own ambitions and to get the princess. Besides, they choose to die with honor. Of course, Louise was hurt when she heard it. She had understood that Henrietta and Wales loved each other.
So he revealed to us the content of the letter, in which the princess swore eternal love in the name of the Founder Brimir. It was an oath with as much weight as a marriage. The germanian imperial family wouldn't forgive that. Louise wanted to plead him to return to Tristain with us, but I stopped her.
“Louise, the world we live in can sometimes be simple. But it can sometimes be really complicated. There are things you have to do for love, and there are things you have to do despite love. Despite his love for the princess, it's something he has to do. Else, he would live the rest of his life with a broken soul.
You may not like it, its fine. But you have to accept his decision. It will make your friend Henrietta very sad, but she knows him. I'm sure she would understand, they are both royalty, and she didn't ask us to save him or bring him with us, Louise.”
Her reaction proved that she understood my last sentence. I looked at Wales and nodded with respect. He nodded back in understanding. After that we left the room, and later attended the last party of Albion's royalty. Seeing them merry on their last night, I enjoyed my time with them, even singing a little and telling a few stories. I wanted to properly send them away. Louise, however, couldn't bear it and left. I just made a head sign to Wardes and he went after her.
Right after, Wales came to hang out with me. I praised him and the other for their courage in front of their coming death. I also remembered that later, Wales corpse would be used to manipulate the princess.
“Wales, not long ago, Louise and I, and 2 other people, captured an infamous noble thief called Fouquet, that stole from the academy vault. The princess stopped at the academy on her way back from Germania to see her friend Louise. She was desperate because of the letter, and couldn't talk to anyone about it. Thus the mission we took from our own will.
However, at La Rochelle, we were attacked by Fouquet, who should have been in jail. She told me that some noble soul freed her for the betterement of the world. The one who was in jail before the arrival of the princess attacked us with mercenaries at a critical point of our travel to get here. Someone aside from us knows about the mission. Someone aside from us knows about your relationship with Henrietta.
After your death, it will take her some time to recover. However, duing that time, the hidden enemy may use your image to manipulate her, by playing with her feelings for you. That's why, for such a time, I want you to write a letter for her. A letter for her to rely on me and Louise. I want you to write a letter in which you entrust her to the 2 of us.”
As I said all that, I used my suggestion to give him the idea to entrust Henrietta to me. This way, once it would be time to confort her, there wouldn't be much resistance. I also send him the idea to give me the rest of their wealth. If they were going to die, they should give me the money since they wouldn't be using it. Of course he agreed.
Later during the party, Wardes announced that he would be marrying Louise the next day, with the excuse that he wanted the prince to take care of the wedding. Louise was shocked of course, and the prince agreed to hold the ceremony before the decisive battle. Wardes asked me if I would attend, but I refused. He said that I could leave with the ship while him and Louise will come back with the griffin.
Later that night, I “accidentally” met Louise in a corridor. She had been crying, and when she saw me she leaned on my chest and sobbed. I hugged her and used a bit of energy as I caressed her hairs and butt. She couldn't accept that these people would happily go to their death, and that 2 lovers would accept to be separated by death.
“Louise, you should refuse to marry Wardes. He hasn't sent you any letters in I don't know how much time. It looks like he was more busy doing research about the legend of the Gandalfr instead of sending letters to you, his fiance. The duel for which he called you as a witness was to make you distance yourself from me by showing his strenght, but it didn't work.”
Louise was shocked by what I said, and took a step back, looking at me with anxious eyes. I looked at her with calm, but firm eyes, and spoke with a calm and firm tone.
“I showed that I could match him. Then suddenly, he wants to marry you, without warning you, without even the presence of the other members of your family, your father, your mother. He doesn't want to marry you out of love, he is rushing things because he needs you for his secret agenda, a secret agenda which must have something to do with the legend of the Gandalfr and the magic of its master. I warned you, now you have to chose. Wether you will follow me, or follow him. I will have my answer when I board the Eagle tomorrow to go back. Think about it well, goodnight.”
-------
In the morning, I had collected the money Wales prepared for me. I didn't go to the ship. Instead, I was keeping an eye on Louise. I though she would want to talk to Wardes, and she would do so at the wedding ceremony. But that wasn't what happened. Wardes came to her room in the morning and brough her at the chapel without giving her time to prepare herself.
Louise was completely puzzled by what was happening, and wasn't reacting when Wardes put the bridal decorations on her. Then Wardes asked for Wales to start the ceremony. Only when Louise was questioned did she come back to reality and started to respond, but she was still hesitating. After a few second, she refused. Both Wardes and Wales were dumbfounded.
“... Louise, why? … You are just nervous. Dear Louise. You cannot be seriously refusing my offer. ”
“I'm sorry, Wardes. I yearned for you. Maybe… maybe even loved you once. However, it is different now. You didn't contact me. You just decided the marriage yesterday without telling me. Why choose to marry me now, in the middle of an important mission from her highness? … What are you rushing for?”
Wardes lost his usual kind expression, and it was replaced by a cold one. He gripped Louise's shoulders. Wales was now looking at the event with worry.
“The world, Louise! I will rule the world! You are necessary for that!”
“…I, I am not needed for that.”
“You are necessary for me! Your ability! Your power! Louise, have you forgotten what I once told you! You are not inferior to even the Founder Brimir, you will grow up as an excellent mage some day! You just do not know about it yet! That talent!”
“Wardes, you…”
“Viscount…, that’s enough. Behave like a gentlema…”
“Shut up!”
“You're finally revealing your true colors, viscount Wardes.”
I stealthily entered the room and put my bag to the side. With my movement technique, I reached him before finishing my sentence and punched him away from Louise. He staggered for a few steps, and his nose started bleeding. He was utterly shocked.
“Saito!!”
“You?!”
“You were the one behind the attack at La Rochelle. You're the one who released Fouquet. As a square wind mage, you used one of the highest spells available to a wind mage, the wind clone or whatever it is called. You can use it to act like a good guy while your clone does the dirty work. But I'm still curious. Why do all of this?”
“A noble! Are you an Albionian noble as well!? Wardes!”
“That’s right. I am really a member of Albion's noble faction, ‘Reconquista’.We are the first heralds of Halkeginia’s future – a union of nobles that has no national borders. We are borderless. Halkeginia will be reunited into one by our hands, we will restore the Founder Brimir's ‘Sacred Land’ once again.”
“Before... you were not like this before. What changed you so much? Wardes...”
“Years, accidents and destiny. Though it changed me from whom you knew, it didn’t change my nature that you are talking about. And you are talking too much. Die!”
He charged at me with magic warping around his wand, and casted a spell... directed toward Wales, piercing his chest. He got me. I was in front of Louise, so he couldn't get her, he charged at me, making me focus on him and forget about Wales. Wales was fated to die anyway. But that Wardes killed him irritated me, because I liked Wales. I wanted him to die proudly on the battlefield with his followers.
“... You big fucking piece of shit!”
And we fough. I wanted to beat the crap out of him but I couldn't. He still had a role in the story. Changing to many elements would change the future so much I wouldn't be able to predict any events and I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the situation and enjoy myself. His time would come later.
During the battle, Derflinger finally recalled some of his memories from the past. The sword that absorb magic, “Gandalfr’s left hand – Derflinger-sama”. With Derf absorbing the magic of his spells, Wardes made 4 clones and they surrounded me. It was now 1 against 5, I acted like I could barely handle them, but in fact I was entertained.
Louise tried to help me and casted a spell on one of the clones. There was an explosion on the ground and the clone vanished. She was surprised, and the remaining clones charged at her. But I didn't let them touch her. I gave her an angry glare and told her to back up and not do something stupid like with Fouquet.
With a burst of energy coming from my annoyance at Louise getting herself in danger, I got rid of 2 more clones. The power of Gandalfr comes from strong feelings. It momentary fueled my mark and made me unleash a stronger attack than expected. I used this opportunity to destroy the last clone and cut one of Wardes arm. Afterward I backed away and acted really exhausted.
“Damn it!! It seems that I managed to accomplish only one of the goals. Anyways, now you are mine ‘Gandálfr’ – a large army will soon burst in. Hey! Can you hear the sound of horses' hooves and dragons' wings!?”
“Yeah, so what? This isn't the end. I will eventually defeat your 'Reconquista' group and avenge Wales.”
“You and your foolish master will be turned to ashes! Gandálfr!”
With those parting words, he ran away. I went to Wales corpse and offered a silent prayer, then I took his ring. The noise was getting close, and Louise and Derf were worried, but I was not. The ground opened near us and Verdandy appeared, followed by Guiche. Verdandy, who likes jewels, was attrated by the princess' ring on Louise.
Louise was surprised but there was no time to waste. I jumped in the hole with Louise. I told them there was no time to chat. We came out of the tunnel and were greeted by the vast sky, but Tabitha's dragon caugh us. We returned back to Tristain. During the trip back, Louise didn't leave my arms. Too much to process for her.
Sylph, Tabitha's dragon, brough all of us all the way to the royal capital and we landed in the courtyard of the palace. On the way, I thanked Sylph for the ride and pated her using energy. I knew that she had a sexy humanoid form, so I though I should score points with her now and continue later.
At the palace courtyard we were immediately surrounded by one of the knight corps present, the Manticorn Corps. Of course they asked us to drop our weapons. Louise announced her identity and asked for an audience with the princess. When the capptain asked why, she naturally said it was a secret, so he refused to comply and wanted to arrest us. So I moved forward, irritated.
“Listen sir commander. Do not think that we came all the way here, in such a, flashy manner, during those wary times, for something trivial. So you will send one of your men to warn the princess of our presence. She will be the one to decide wether she wants to see us or not.”
“What a rude commoner. That’s not how a servant should speak to a noble. Stay silent.”
“The commoner is no servant, and as I said before, we're not here for trivial business. The stupid noble commander is wasting our time. Send someone to the warn the princess of our presence.” I threatened.
“Who the hell are you people? Regardless, I cannot allow you to see Her Highness.”
“It's not for you to decide.”
“Arrest them!”
At that time, Henrietta came out and rushed to Louise, taking her in her arms. Louise used that opportunity to give her the letters. Not seeing Wales, she asked if he had sacrified his life, and Louise nodded after a second of hesitation.
As for me, I gave a meaningful gaze at the commander of the Manticor Corps, with some killing intent, and he blushed in shame and anger. When she asked about Wardes, I told her he was a traitor, and that we should talk somewhere else. So she dismissed the knights and we changed locations.
Leaving Kirche, Tabitha and Guiche in the waiting room, Henrietta brought me and Louise to her own room. There we told her everything that happened during the mission. Henrietta was shocked by the presence of a traitor among the knights. About Wales, she believed that he didn't love her, because in the letter she had asked him to flee. She though he chose honor over her. So I pated her shoulder while using energy.
“Princess, you're mistaken. Had he accepted your suggestion to flee here, it would have brough more trouble to you, it would have been an excuse to invade. The enemy would have focused their sight on Tristain, and you. By staying there, he kept you safe and sent the message that the royalty, you, shouldn't be trifled with. He cared for you until the end, never forget that.”
Then I gave her his ring, saying he wanted me to give it to her in his last moments. I told her that just like him, she had to be brave. We left the palace. On the way, Kirche kept asking about the mission, but we remained silent. I just reminded everyone not to talk about it.
That night, in Louise's room, I undressed her and placed on my lap as I was talking to her.
“Now, Louise. Even though I had warned you, you had let Wardes barge in your room and take you to the chapel without doing anything. You let him put the wedding attire on you, and reacted to late. Punishement time!”
She was already wet before the spanking started. Since I had slightly altered her eating habits, she had gained some meat in her legs, hips and ass. As I was spanking her with one hand, I used the other to play with her vagina, lightly mocking her for being aroused by her punishment, and then saying that I didn't mind it. After being used to be seen there, she will be used to be touched there. Then I put the stick in her ass, and continued to spank her and play with her pussy.
As she was about to sleep, I caressed her hair and reminded her that everything would be alright if she listened to me. I told her that with me she would become a good mage, and that nobody could protect her better than me. That as long as she followed me, I would never abandon her and always care for her. I kissed her forehead and she fell asleep with a little smile.
