As the battle continued at Leroy's ranch, Crysilis and Streamline went in circles trying to find where Leroy could be. It should have been a straight shot, but the earlier darkness had confused Crysilis.
"How are we going to find this place if we don't even know what it looks like?" Crysilis asked as they walked through a forest.
"Dunno. So, what's the guy like?" Streamline asked as he stepped over a snake slithering by his feet.
"Hm, let's see. Tall, like you and Vecto, sort of country looking," Crysilis explained, brushing away a low branch.
"What does he do?" Streamline continued.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"He's a farmer, I think. Doesn't like technology."
"What's with us being in this forest?"
Crysilis thought about it. "Good question."
Streamline stopped to lean against a thick tree and look up at the branches and leaves blocking the sun. "You know, now that the sun's up, you can hover in the sky and look for a farm. That'll be the easiest thing to do."
Crysilis paused at that thought. "You know what? That's brilliant! Why didn't I think of it?"
Streamline shrugged.
In a flash, Crysilis teleported into the sky. His antigravity suit function kicked in, keeping him suspended. Shielding his helmet's blue visor from the glare, he scanned the horizon. The sun was to his right, so the farm should be to his left. In the distance, he saw a hill filled with crops. There was a lake nearby and mountains behind it-a stark contrast to the murky factory landscape they had left behind. That had to be where Leroy's farm was, he thought. As he lowered himself back to the forest, he heard an explosion from that direction.
Yep, that's the place, he thought.
