All Wizards Must Die!

Know this, my unknown reader, that Wizards destroyed the world.

Wizards bring shape and order to the chaos of magic. Wizards delude themselves and believe that the world, the peoples and the kingdoms, can be so easily shaped, if only the fools would get out of the way and let it be done. Wizards cannot be trusted in matters outside of the arcane and esoteric.

Know this to be true, my unknown reader, for I am a Wizard.

Do not let the Wizards of your days speak fondly of the years of mine.

Do not let the Age of Gate be called a golden age, for it was not. Do not let the Gateways be regarded as genius, for it was not. Do not let the Gatecrash be forgotten, for it will be reborn again in a different form and a different time if Wizards have their way.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Read my tale, and learn of the Dark Age that engulfed the world. Fear, ignorance and hatred, once buried and sealed away in the Age of Gate, were now free to unfurl themselves and enshroud the land and its peoples.

This is why across an entire continent the people screamed that all Wizards must die.

This is the long night of despair into which my story takes place. This is the tale of a time which saw monsters hunt the lands and warring fiefdoms haunt the peoples. It was a time of high adventure and clashing blades.

I did not save the world, but I found the one who would. It was I who walked beside the Imperator in their legendary travels. It was I who guided and educated them in the ways of ruling. It was I who shaped them into the savior we needed.

Know this, my unknown reader. My name is Leihant von Geissler and this is the record of my story, which I write for you.

Do not ask how I remember all this. Do not ask how I scribe details of things I could not have seen.

I am a Wizard, and that is explanation enough for you.
