Hello! Sorry for not posting anything new yesterday and today. I had (and still have) a splitting headache, and now I have a fever plus some rather thrilling coughs added onto that. This will be the end of Arc 1 of this series, and I will nurse my cold while I work out the details of the second Arc.
I don`t actually know what I am going to write when I sit down and write a chapter, but hopefully that will change in Arc 2 of this series. When I noticed I should have some... uum... guiding... it was already to late.
I may not be able to post two chapters every day (sometimes 3 a day). Each chapter is 3-4 thousand words. that means writing between 6 and 8 thousand words a day. It is a bit taxing on my body and mind. (I wrote like 65000 words in 9 days. A regular soft cover book for new and inspiring writers is around 50000 thousand words. That means i wrote a book in a week).
I will be posting a chapter a day (or at worst) a chapter every 2 days. That gives me ample time to actually see what I am writing, and not just ramble shit down in word and post it.
All of this is something I do to not burn myself out early, and increase the quality of work I am giving to you guys.
If I feel the need to write, then I will be working on my side project - an apocalypse magic mashup including some sci fi(??) and other interesting stuff. I have been thinking Akif Kas day in and day out, and when I actually got a break, new ideas came flowing in.
The side project will not be updated as often as this one (probably).
And... Sorry about the short chapter. I just don`t have the energy to write a normal one. I figured this was a good place for me to end the first Arc on.

That was not the smartest idea you have ever had in your life, Louvian. Even I understand that walking in on your daughter freshly after an intimate moment is a bad idea…
What is so important you dare to suffer the frigid hostility your daughter is displaying right now? You must have known this would be coming.
I look expectantly up at Louvian, who looks petrified by the tone of voice Eliyon just used. I can see him weighing is words carefully before saying;
“As I said, we interrogated the people following you, and they have some very important information. The reason they were following you was mostly to gather information, but luckily for us, they were caught”.
“The reason this information is so important is because of who employed them. They are nothing more than a group of low level thugs, but after picking their brains and noting down everything including who they are and why they did what they did, we noticed a common denominator: No one could remember who their employer was, except for the fact that he was a noble. An elven noble”.
“They also had some intel regarding a possible threat on our lives – but mostly my life. This is why I came. We are in danger, Eliyon. All of us. That includes not just you, me and Atre. That includes Sera and Akif as well”.
I can feel the frigid air lessening as Eliyon starts calming down. The air quickly heats up as Sera yells out;
“AND WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT?”.
Sera is fine with herself being threatened, but as soon as someone she loves is threatened, she flies off into a fiery rage. That much I have learned of her. She is a sweet, loving woman. A woman that will easily place herself in front of an arrow if it means for a loved one surviving. When an actual threat is located, she wants it fixed. Immediately.
She is fine with me being her guard, because she doesn’t know if there is a potential threat. She is also fine if we have a plan to deal with the threat. What she isn’t fine with is uncertainty. The episode in the carriage was probably one of her worst memories. She was forced to lay and wait for whoever came, and she knew it.
Eliyon – as I just noticed – gets angry in a different way. Freezing coldness and harsh words. Not words of rage, but words cutting straight into your soul. I don’t think they are meant to hurt the person, but she certainly doesn’t hold back either.
“Sera. We have sent out our best teams on this, and we hope to have more information by the end of the weekend. What we want is for you guys to be careful. Akif should be enough to deal with a sizable group, and you ladies are good at long range telekinesis. You guys should be fine. What I am worried about is if you guys split up at one point or another”.
“Well, we are not going to do that, so don’t worry”, Sera tells the king with a tone of voice removing all possibility for arguments. She usually respects Louvian – in a way. She doesn’t openly contradict him, but now it is different. Now the king has to listen.
“We weren’t going to go anywhere without Akif anyways, and if that happens, we would probably bring Atre with us. We are PERFECTLY clear about the threats facing us, and I am not stupid enough to actually believe the people wanting to use either one of us as leverage, will stop after this minor setback”.
“They must have known that there is a chance for those men to be discovered, and by now I have a feeling they have already covered their tracks. Send out whoever you want, but don’t be surprised if they won’t find anything”.
Louvian nods agreeingly.
“Uuuh… maybe we should continue this conversation once we have more clothing on? I don’t think Louvian is interested in seeing is naked daughter clinging onto me for an extended period of time”, I tell the group with a hint of embarrassment.
I never thought I would be feeling this way – I have never felt embarrassment from nudity before. Now it is different. Now I don’t feel embarrassed for me, but for Louvian. How is that even possible?

“Yeah… Probably a good idea”.
Louvian has tried to keep his eyes away from us throughout this conversation. Although we slid down into the pool, it doesn’t really conceal much. The water is still… water.
After the king turns and leaves, Eliyon tells me with an irate voice;
“And WHY did you not warn us before he came in? You should have been able to notice he came! Aren’t you all mighty and shit?”
What? When did this become my fault?
“Uuuuhh… Is that a real question?”, I ask her questioningly.
“OF COURSE IT IS!”, Eliyon yells out.
Uuuuh…
“I was just as naked as you were, you know?”
“YOU GIVE ZERO SHITS ABOUT BEING NAKED!”, she yells at me.
At least she is yelling. It could have been worse… she could have spoken calmly… A woman that speaks calmly when you have clearly done something wrong is… terrifying…
“Sorry, but I had no reason to do that. No one is in this wing except for us. The guards never enter when it is used, and they usually aren’t around half the time. I had no real reason to be actively looking for people”, I tell her calmly.
My calmness seems to be setting her off even more, but luckily Sera steps in and rescues me.
“Eli… What Akif is saying is correct. If we follow your logic he would have had to be on guard all day, every day. Even in his sleep”.
“Of course I fucking know that. It is just that my fucking father just walked in on me in OUR private fucking space JUST after Akif had finished fucking the shit out of YOU, and licking ME into oblivion. And you know what? HE HEARD IT!”, She yells out in pique.
“At least he didn’t walk in on us while we were doing that? Isn’t that a good thing?”.
That earned me a flick on the forehead, and stern eyes from Sera.
Got it. Be quiet.
“THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN “ISN`T THAT A GOOD THING?””.
Aaah… that’s why I should be quiet.
“Eli… As you know… Our Akif is dumb as a loaf of bread sometimes, but he didn’t mean anything wrong with that”, Sera tells her.
“I know… Of course I know. It is just that I am so fucking angry at this. Was that important enough for him to burst in on us?”, She asks in an open question.
Weeeell… He was basically saying that there are assassins out to get us, and especially him. That also means that if they succeed someone will have to take responsibility for running this country.
That also means that our plans might be fucked AND we have a bunch of assassins coming after us – presumably – because of a war we will have to fight eventually. Sooo… Yeah? Maybe? No?
“Uuuh… Sera? Should I answer that question”, I ask her with Menskinesis.
I have never done that with her for some reason, but I don’t get a particularly big reaction from her. Just slightly widened eyes, and a slow shake of her head.
“Got it. When is it ok for me to answer questions? Why do women ask questions, and when we try our best to answer them, you flip the shit out”
She “face palms” before returning her attention to the angry elf. Apparently, Face palming is something people do when I say something retarded, or at the wrong time.
I will ask that question later then. Let’s hope that is what was wrong this time.
“Eli… For you that was the most embarrassing thing in the world. For us that was extremely embarrassing as well. But think about what your father just told us. He said that there is a noble that is actively trying to kill us. He is the one that have tried to kill you for this whole time. He sent assassins and kidnappers after you for a month, and when you came here, we were followed”.
“And… remember… your father KNEW what we were doing, and he still chose to enter. Your father is a lot of things, but he is not a man without morals. He is not going to sit there and listen to us enjoying each other. He must have felt that the gain of telling you this outweigh the consequences of not doing so”.
Eliyon has a disgusted look on her face, but I think she will be fine. I still don’t know why I didn’t get to answer that question, but ooh well… I may have used different words? And answered the question? I noticed she didn’t actually say “Yes”…
“I guess you are right, Sera”, she finally replies after some thought.
I give my naked elf a hug – it seems like she needs one now – and get up. The two girls are for some reason staying in the pool, but I figure I need to get some work done.
Fuck it! I am not going to sit around here waiting for the cunts to come to us. I need intelligence. Better and more intelligence. I promised to keep them safe, and that is what I will be doing.
“Can you take care of Louvian? I have something I need to do”, I tell them as I exit the room
A “What? What are you doing?” from Eliyon, and a “Yeah” from Sera can be heard as I exit the bath house after redressing myself.
And just as I exit the door I tell them;
“I may not come home tonight. If you go somewhere, bring Atre”.
I guess it is time to start building the network of beggars.
