Prologue 1

----------------------------------------

Year 1073. City of Fellas. 17:04.

Airey Academy of Magic, a boarding school that aims to train and develop top tier future magicians and heroes. With a ratio of ten is to one, mostly the sons and daughters of aristocrats study in this prestigious academy.

I myself am a daughter of a very powerful house that is close friends with royalty, house of Viancé. Though I am not proud of it, I still have things to do and not do. In other words, I have a rather limited freedom than any other aristocrats.

At the age of 3, I was taught things that a noble lady shouldn’t do. At the age of 7, I learned the proper manners and etiquette in various things. At the age of 12, I was forced to go with my parents in every party they were invited. And at the age of 14… Well, they were stricter than usual. But now that I’m 16, they thought I should have a change environment and, in conclusion, they decided that I should go and improve my magic skills.

I don’t know if it was good thing for me or not, but one thing for sure… I’m glad that I have freedom at the least when I go here.

What I like about this academy is that no one can influence anyone as long as you’re studying there. It’s because it will affect the growth of the person. That means I can’t be scolded by my parents here.

“For the sake of your family’s reputation, do your best and never yield to others- especially commoners.”

Those were the last words of my father to me.

My mother and sister were both crying, because they won’t be seeing me for a while. I felt lonely inside when I saw them cry for me.

My life as an aristocrat’s daughter has been rather… boring, I should say. There’s nothing really exciting that has happened so far, but in my time in this school I hope it would be full of thrills, adventure and, probably, some romance if you may.

I’m a town away from the academy, which is a good thing. Four-days-worth of a bumpy road trip is already hurting my lower half. If only I knew magic, I could’ve teleported there already.

We’ll be leaving early around dawn, so I should hit the sack already. Well I have no choice to be honest. I’m tired from not sleeping in an inn these past few days, my light source is already fading out, and the sky tonight is quite bright.
