Waking up from my moss bed, getting up, and having to think of a plan for a food source, I can't just survive off of my snacks, right? Well, I better start looking; I grab my backpack and begin walking, looking at my wings and seeing that the Bandage wraps I had put on them are falling off. I just take the wraps off, knowing that the bleeding has been stopped. As I continue walking, I see some blue, glowing mushrooms in a patch of blue moss. I Neal down and pick one of the mushrooms, smelling it and trying to see if I could eat it. Cutting it open to see it had a creamy blue glowing liquid inside that leaked out. Gross, what is this stuff? It looks like...some sort of...healing sap? Hoping it doesn't kill me, I take the risk and taste the liquid. It... tastes...like honey but with no sugar, not feeling any different. I take a bite out of the mushroom that I had cut, and it tastes Sweet with a hint of bitterness, and the texture is kinda mushy but firm like a sponge. Then, Crunching on some dirt, Spitting it out, "Eugg gross, I should have washed it first.." I say Coughing a bit after. continuing to collect the mushrooms and putting them in my bag to clean them later if and when I find a water source. After walking for about 30 minutes I come across a massive Rock that touches the ceiling from the ground. The rock was in a beautiful Spiral shape, Covered in moss from bottom to top it's the brightest thing in this whole cave that I have seen so far. standing there in awe at the bright Spiral moss-covered Rock, I look over to see a carved-out door shape in the side of the spiral Rock. I walk over to the doorway and see stairs inside the doorway. Looking up the stairs, seeing a light, hoping it's the sun; I start walking up the stairs. I step on a stair, and it gets pushed down as I step on it, triggering a trap that starts turning the stairs into a slide. "Oh..shit...Ahhhhhh!" screaming as I slid down but then pushed up off the slide, flying up to the exit, Before Spears started to get shot out of the walls at me. I dogged most of them and almost had a close call, once having scraped my arm. "Ow!" I Huff a bit, grabbing my arm to stop any bleeding, and continue flying, finally landing and getting my breath back. Walking outside to see a small village, although it did look like a small market. Kinda like my home market, I walk into the market looking around. I see a river nearby and walk over to it, fill my water bottle up, and clean up the mushrooms I have Collected. I walk back to the market and see some bandits trying to rob one of the market stands. I walk over and yell, "Hay! What do you think you're doing!?" One guy responded "What do you think freak?", "Freak!? Who are you calling freak?" I say, extending my claws and rushing at them; they move out of the way and pull out pocket knives. I Come back at them, knocking them down with my tail and then throwing blue fire at them from my claws. As they Catch on fire and burn to death, their screams fill the market. I stand there watching in shock as they roll around on the ground, seeing one dive into the river nearby and then climbing out and ploping onto the grass. "W-what..i-i...huh?" I Stutter as my claws go back to normal. I wasn't used to people dying. I have only seen when I hit or strike a fatal blow to the Galxors. They just turn to smoke and get teleported back to their planet/Moon. I look at the burnt corpses and slowly back away and then turn into a run, jumping and flying away. I landed in some woods that I saw as I was flying, Not knowing what to do or what to think. I sit down, putting my back on a tree, letting my wings and tail go limp. "What the hell just happened... They didn't..poof into smoke.." I say, talking out loud to myself. I look up, hearing something moving in the brush in front of me; I stand up and get my wings, tail, and Claws ready for anything. A Rabbit comes out of the brush, and I sigh, sitting back down as the Rabbit hops away. Maybe this was a bad idea, I should go back home. I get up and walk out of the forest, then fly back to the cave where I came out of; I fly down the hole and then walk the way I came. A few hours pass as I get back to the end of the hole, I slide down, looking up at the narrow hole. "There is no freaking way; I am flying through that", I say to myself, looking back down. The Witch from earlier sees me and looks at me, and I look over at her. "Umm... Hi.." I say and wave Awkwardly. "Do you happen to know how to get back out of the narrow hole?" I ask walking a bit closer. The Witch speaks with a soft tone and says, "No, sorry dear, I have been stuck down here for years." "Wait...you have been here for years?" I say wondering why she hasn't gone away from the hole. She responds, "Well, yes.." "Why haven't you tried walking through the cave to find a way out?" I say back. "well darling when you're as old as I am, you don't have the strength to go far," she says, walking to her cave home; I follow. "But.. You look so young, How old are you? Even though where I am from, you don't age.." "That's interesting... But to answer your question, follow me inside" "Oh ok.." I walk into her cave home, she sits down, and I sit down on her rug, feeling that I can trust her. She explains, "Ok, well, the moss in this cave glows and produces a healing light, and so do all the plants in here. They give some sort of healing property; that's why I look so young on the outside, but on the inside, I am 87. "Oh. Well, technically, I am 103 years old, but my body is 20 years old," I say, not wanting a big reaction. She just looked at me in surprise and disbelief, "Sorry, it's just how are u not dead?" She says as she continues to look at me. "Oh, that's easy. In my world, I have infinite lives. And I don't know if it applies here though..", "Well, I will tell you what since I don't intend to leave my cave home. I will give u this," She says, handing me the Teal Gem from earlier. "Oh, Thank you," I said, putting the gem in my backpack. "It's no problem at all dear. Now, just remember, don't lose this gem. It's very special," she says back as she sits down on one of her rock chairs. I just sit down on the floor and look at her. "So, umm, how did you get down here?" I ask; she looks at me with a sad face and says, "Well, it's a long story, but I will tell the tale; once a time ago, I lived in a village, and my home was the one you fell through, but yes, I am a witch that the village wanted gone.They tried to burn my home down, but I would not let them, so I cursed them to soon rott away and become grass again, and it was not quick. No, it was slow and painful like any lethal sickness. Soon after their death, their homes followed all but mine because I had put a spell on my home to be forever standing no matter how old it got until I fell into this beautiful mossy cave and decided to stay here so I would forget my past mistakes." "Wow, that's an interesting story.." I say having a bit of concern on my face. "Well, what now?" I ask as she responds. "Go live your life as long as you can." I think I knew what she meant, but to be honest, I didn't know because I have infinite lives. I walk out of her cave waving goodbye, then heading back to the blue moss Spiral to go back into the world to see what Adventure I can find. To be continued...
