I used the momentum to do a spinning back kick to the goblin face. The kick landed on the goblins arm that was on the side of the goblins face. I would like to say that the kick sent the goblin flying but that wasn't the case. Because of the weight of the club and the goblins steady center of gravity the goblin just fell to the ground.
When my leg I landed on the floor I slid back. While the goblin was on the floor I had a choice to either end its life now or keep fighting to get more fighting experience. The logical choice was to end the goblins life now, but I wanted to perfect my hold on [shadow leap]. From what I could tell [shadow leap] still had fifteen more seconds until I could use the skill again.
The goblin was staying vigilant as it got up from the floor. It seemed to be thinking why haven't I tried to kill it yet. If I could answer its quizzing gaze I would say that you are only alive for me to improve my skills. As dark as that may sound it was logical to want to improve myself.
While we were having another stare down I was starting to count down the seconds to use the [shadow leap] again. While counting the seconds I saw the goblin was staring to clench and unclench its hold on the club in its hand. The goblin was giving off the feeling that it knew something bad was about to happen.
Before I had time to think the goblin was already starting to dash at me. As I was preparing to maneuver around it, the goblin suddenly stopped and threw its club at me. I quickly moved out the way of the club and when I thought I was in the clear the goblin pulled something out of nowhere and threw it at my face.
I reflexively closed my eyes to avoid the thing from going in my eyes. As I brought my hand up to wipe the things from my eyes I felt some sticky substance on top of it. Then I tried to open my eyes and they wouldn't open. The sticky substance wouldn't let me open my eyes. Usually in this situation the fear of the unknown would start to set in, but If I showed fear the goblin would most likely kill me right there. On the other hand, if I kept my cool the goblin would hesitate to take action. Then I remembered the goblin just threw the club it had at me and should have landed about ten to fifteen feet away.
With the buffer of the goblin being weaponless I got into a stance that would protect my vitals. I perked my ears trying listen to what the goblin would do next. I kept on waiting, but nothing out of the ordinary happened. I thought maybe the goblin was trying to escape. If my eyes were open I would see the goblin was escaping as quick and quiet as possible.
I took one step forward to conform my thoughts and that was when I heard footsteps running away from me. I wanted to laugh at the cowardly smart action of the goblin, but I was blinded at this moment and didn't know how long I would be this way. If the goblin came back with reinforcements I would be in trouble. In that split second, I made the choice to run after it.
As I was running I tried to activate [shadow leap], but it didn't work. Two seconds later I tried to activate the skill once again, and it worked. As I was merging into the shadows there was a huge eye below me staring at me. As I fully merged into the shadows the thing staring at me closed its eyes going back into its slumber.
For a split second I felt a chill that made my body feel cold to the bone and a split second it was gone as fast as it appeared. If I wasn't blinded at the moment I wouldn't have felt the feeling so clearly. Forgetting that I was blinded at the moment I looked down expecting to see something. I seen and felt nothing, but my instincts were telling me using [shadow leap] was a potentially fatal skill not only for my enemies but also for myself. I wasn't one to forgo my instinct, but I knew that the skill would be helpful to me for a long time and I couldn't just forget it. I was torn inside, and it wasn't in my nature to give up, so I had to make a decision. After some thoughts I decided that when I used [shadow leap] to never drop my guard and when I was strong enough I had to explore the mystery beneath.
I took my mind off the thing I couldn't control at the moment to something that I could control now. The goblin was getting away and every step it took I felt it clearly. I never noticed this before maybe being blinded wasn't so bad after all. I concentrated on the goblins footsteps and started running after it.
Without having to worry about hitting an obstacle I was able to run at full speed. As I was chasing the goblin I could feel that for a creature so strong for its size it was pretty slow on its feet. Due to that I was able to catch up to the goblin in four seconds leaving two seconds to spare on [shadow leaps] duration.
As I got underneath the goblins running figure I knew what my next action should be. I thought myself to step up and I exploded up. When I breached the shadows, I found out that the goblin was running in the sun which was just perfect.
I exited the shadows from the goblins shadow putting me where I wanted to be. Before I could think my body reacted. My right hand with the dagger went around the goblins throat and slit it. Before the goblins blood could get on me I removed my hand.
I watched as the goblin took a couple steps forward before it realized its throat was slit. I watched as the goblin put its hands around its neck trying to prevent the blood from coming out to no avail. I watched as the goblin took its dying steps forward trying its best to preserve its life. I watched as the goblin took its last step before falling to the ground to never get up again. I watched the goblin with its last bit of strength to turn to face the sun. I watched as the goblin drew its last breath. I watched all this without flinching not because I was a cold-blooded murder, but because this would be my fate if I didn't get stronger.

[Nameless goblin is dead]
I walked up to the dead goblin and slowly got on one knee. I looked at the goblin face to see that even in its last moments it died painfully. I sighed before closing the goblins eyes for good. It was the best that I who caused its death could do.
In the moment of silence, I heard the familiar notification sound in my head. I was confused the about why I was getting a new notification. I had already killed both of the goblins and I had already heard both of the notifications, so why was I being notified? Was Jason in danger? It didn't seem that way and I hadn't heard him calling for me. Maybe I leveled up again? No that wasn't the case I just leveled up and these two goblins wouldn't be enough to level up again. Was I missing something? I didn't know so all I could do was check my status window.

[Compassionate killer]: The person with this title has the ability to efficiently kill their enemies and when their enemies are done has the common decency to have respect for them on their death. +1 Dexterity +1 Mana per level.
"Wow I'm a compassionate killer, yes this is what I really wanted... Not." Although the title I earned was pretty stupid it did come with the added perks to my dexterity and mana. Now I wouldn't have to worry about adding so many points to dexterity every time I leveled up. If I did would that be a really bad thing? Well I don't know, and it doesn't matter right now, so I'm going to let it be.
Well it should be time to fight some other goblins, maybe I should go up stairs or find a different building. Nah, going upstairs is closer and I need to get use to the added points in dexterity. There no point in wasting time.
As I was about to go back to the apartment building and go up stairs I had a feeling that Jason might be in trouble. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. It doesn't matter it doesn't hurt to look.
....
There they were just staring at me with their beady eyes. The more I looked at them the more I wanted to run away. I looked behind me to see that I was surrounded. I felt like I caught the hibigeebies my skin felt like something was crawling on me and the more I looked at the things the more my skin felt that way.
In front of me was a small army of ten-centimeter-tall daddy long legs. My arachnophobia was coming back in full swing.
I didn't always use to have arachnophobia it wasn't until about ten to thirteen years ago that I received the trauma. As a kid I wasn't anywhere near afraid of spiders, in fact I use to just kill them when they got to close. I even use to kill tarantulas and they were big. It was until a faithful night I was sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. Until I woke up for no rhyme or reason. When I opened my eyes there they were an army of small spiders crawling towards me.
When I saw the spiders I quickly got up and went on a bed that was near mines and didn't fall back asleep. It was an illusion conjured up by my mind, but it didn't make it any less real and frightening. That was the last time I really had a tight hold around spiders now I was just like any other person with arachnophobia. What made my phobia worst was when a daddy long leg had the audacity to crawl down my shirt.
"God, I hate spiders with every fiber of my being." I got out of my day dream and stared at the now silent goblin on the floor. It stopped laughing when it saw the army of spiders. I should have laughed at its misfortune, but I was now in the same predicament. "Get up and get your club and get ready to fight" I said without knowing whether or not my words went through the goblins skull. I didn't want to fight those ugly critters by myself, so I made some hand gestures for the goblin to understand what I was saying. The goblin understood my gestures and got up quickly.
I was still feeling a bit insecure even with the goblins help. That was when I spotted my club two feet away. As soon as I saw it I knew this would be the best way for me to get out of this situation. I started moving slowly to get my club. The whole time the spiders were just looking at me. When I picked up my club I hurried back to where the goblin was. The entire time the spiders were looking at me without doing anything.
I won't lie the spiders not attacking scared me more than anything. I felt like if they were to move towards me maybe I would discard my fear and fight to the death, but them not moving made the situation seem sinister. As time passed by I was starting to feel my courage leave me little by little. To get my courage back I looked at their stats.

While looking at the spiders I saw that they were a mixture of level two's and level thre's. By seeing that I started to gain back some confidence until I remembered that there was at least a hundred of them things; and there went some of my confidence.
"F*** this, if I die killing the spiders then so be it. At least I died fighting my fears." I looked at the goblin who was now trembling a bit and pointed for it to fight the spiders behind me while I fought the spiders in front of me. The goblin nodded to me and faced the spiders. I saw the goblin trembling went down a bit as it faced the spiders. I guessed it gain some confidence to fight to the death like I did.
We waited for the spiders to make the first move. "Shdjsd nmsa" was all I heard before the spiders started to move towards us. Usually I would be dense towards what just happened, but being with April taught me to look at the bigger picture. With that I was able to notice that there was a leader amongst the spiders. And again, I would usually be scared out of my mind, but considering the circumstances were a bit dire already, so what would adding a leader amount to.
With those thoughts I went in swinging.
