Feet pounded

The cold of the mist-filled place bit at the man’s naked back. But he did not focus on the chill but on the warm wetness of the ethereal female he attempted to please. He nearly lost himself in the rhythm of pumping his fullness inside of her. She moaned, he enjoyed it, nearly smiling as he slid her large, plump nipples into his mouth. They tasted like the charge in the air. He relished the warmth of her large round bosoms.

He clutched her hips, sliding and feeling the thickness of her ample backside - using it to grip and give him more force with each pump. He could feel the heaviness growing in his sack, any moment he would empty himself into her. Just then, there was a blinding flash, a burning freeze. The woman roared and the air froze.

The sky cracked.

The man screamed in agony as he felt his body torn apart by primordial forces.

Feet pounded the grassy flooring of the forest. The boy tripped.

He slid on the wet grass which burned his skin from friction. He rose up, wiping a trail of blood from his brow.As he turned over, he saw that which had driven him hard and fast these last few hours. But not that which had driven him away to begin with. The ground rumbled and dust spat up into the air.He stared at a half a dozen gnolls with a large jeep facing him.

Gnolls were a fierce species that were somewhere between men and hyenas. Often associating too much with goblins had led gnolls to adopt to re-purposing technology from the Lost Ages. This ancient vehicle had missing plates and obvious signs of battle. Yet the .50 caliber machine gun was still mounted and still working.

A head gnoll barked and drooled while licking his lips at the succulent human.

Before the pack of hyena-men could pounce, there was a noise like metal sliding against metal, a high pitched shriek. The gnolls turned to see one of their group, still.

Until his torso slid apart from his legs.

Behind the grouping of furred man-creatures stood a large, dark armored man holding a large sword. It dripped with gnoll blood. The man had a dead deer slung around his shoulders. It was impossibly large and obviously felled by the single wound showing on its torso.“

You,” he began, his voice deep and gravely, “Have interrupted my hunting.”

Collectively, the gnolls howled in battle cry. The dog-like creatures manning the jeep revved the ancient engine and spun the machine gun around towards Blackstone.

The gnoll pulled back on the level and squeezed the trigger; the canine man howled as the gun pounded the area with bullets. This was exemplary work, clearly goblin work, to keep a human device working this long.Whatever flag or country the jeep belonged to had long fallen, risen and fallen again.

Decals were long ago lost on the vehicle.

Blackstone moved with speed impossible for any human being, much less one his size. He deflected several bullets and leapt up into the air, coming down with a single slice of his sword “Retribution.”

The jeep’s gun as well as most of the vehicle’s back came apart in sparks and an explosion. The driver and the creatures within it, screamed in agony.

Three of the remaining gnolls leapt onto the warrior in pack attack. One bit down into his shoulder but its teeth did not puncture the armor. While it continued to snap its jaws, Blackstone grabbed one gnoll and drove his hand into the creature’s chest - he pulled his fist back along with a handful of the beast’s intestines.

With a whip, the man slung the guts into the face of the other beast-man, blinding it long enough that a swift kick sent the gnoll soaring with a snapped neck.

Finally, the biting attacker was dealt with as Blackstone slammed his back into a tree- smearing the hyena-man into a smudge. After the smell of blood and death lessened and the dying whimpering and howls of the gnolls had fade, he boy looked up to see the shadowy armored man standing over him.

The wind blew, it danced with Blackstone’s cloak.
