Green Light ( Prologue)

Green Light ( Prologue)

***

The light turned green.

It was already 3:00.

I still have to fetch my younger brother from school then study for the test tomorrow. It was during that reds of traffic lights seemed to gleam so evilly. Which was why, when the traffic lights gave the go, my legs almost flew.

That was when a stupid driver decided to appear.

I was running across when a low groan of engine took my attention. My eyes reflexibly snapped towards it, but by then, everything was too late.

The world slowed. I saw the flawless Mustang ramping its speed down the lonely road, the driver making a lengthy 'O' as he noticed me, while my legs barely moving at all.

And bang.

It hit my waist first, hard, then ruthlessly dragged me under. My calf tasted the first lick of the burning engine, then continued up to my thighs. Before the burn climbed higher, my broken waist have to fit under its low ridge first. The car's speed and weight had to do the grinding before continuing to cook my flesh of seasoned bones. After my torso, my head cracked onto the asphalt before being grated with its jagged surface before being sucked with the rest of me.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Then the car quickly skidded to a complete stop. The Mustang had very good brakes, but its driver was not as good enough.

Fortunately, my face was spared from the burning.

Unfortunately, reality caught up.

Pain. Searing pain ransacked my consciousness in thorough raids that atrociously destroyed everything that reminisces reason. Nothing retained in my head except the ever increasing screech of my own agony.

I never wanted something in my life as much as a swift end right there and then.

Letting a last howl of pain, my consciousness finally dropped to the void.
