Caesar stared at the abomination of a robot named XV-283 as he reminisced about what Apollo had said about it before practically forcing it onto him.
This thing can become a life-long companion? Even the garbage disposal bots can do better than it !
Garbage disposal bots were practically robots which were solely programmed to pick up trash for every house or apartment. As they were made for raking out people's trash , they didn't any much development nor any complex artificial intelligence. They had the intelligence of an eight year old child and a matching body with it.
Garbage disposal bots were a free service to every citizen in Area 64 , therefore were mass produced - mass produced items were likely to have factory faults therefore it wasn't unexpected to see a random one of them malfunctioning , by either throwing your garbage onto the floor instead of onto their specially built garbage truck or even not picking it up at all.
However due to their malfunctioning sometimes, the garbage disposal bots were poorly built so as not to bring any harm to humans should they malfunction in an area around them : The bots were short , had small hands and slow processors.
They were definitely the type children would love to have as a toy. some children even teased and played with them from time to time.
In his mind , Caesar didn't even see this small thing infront of him even worth being a toy for children !
" I guess we'll see.. "
Caesar said in a defeated tone , the bot was already with him now and there was nothing he could do , throwing it away was not an option as Caesar knew Apollo would somehow locate it and deliver it again to him.
Caesar then remembered what Apollo had told him over the phone just an hour ago about what to do when handling the bot -
" As I told you , this bot's name is XV-283, however you are free to assign any name you see fit. Now , in order to turn it on ; well its already on anyways but rather is it's unresponsive state , in order to wake it up you need to say 'Mercury And Venus Aligned' Yes it sounds weird to say , but it's the only pass code I've placed to activate its system and get it fully functional. In order to turn it off say 'Neptune Far From Sun'. The bot should be able to do the rest without my instructions as I've placed a small database inside of it. Now if there is anything you need you can contact me , Before The Sun Sets. Oh and another thing , there is special armour and weaponry I've prepared for you and had it placed in one of my warehouses.. you will definitely like it.. Oh again , please take care of my little creation XV-283 , don't even think of throwing it away or trading it. Alright , I place my trust in you. "

Apollo had turned off the phone before Caesar could mutter anything , after saying a whole bunch of things.
" What did he say I should say again when waking up this stupid thing , oh - mercury and venus aligned ! "
Immediately the moment Caesar muttered the words a beep ringed out from the small bot , momentarily enveloping the small apartment.

It slowly opened its eyes , staring at what seemed to be a two legged organism - presumably human ??
It didn't know what it was but it could remember why it was there. It quickly accessed its database when a flood of information washed over it.
Apparently it was a thing called a 'bot' , simply just one among million bots in the area known as 64.
It's creator, Apollo had made it purely for being a sidekick for a hunter named Caesar. It's database fitted the body of a child it had , being only comparable to that of a child.
Accessing the database , it now knew that there were hunters , humans augmented by a strange energy called mana and there were monsters , animals in the pre-apocalyptic world which had undergone evolution to become monstrous alongside gaining new skills to better hunt prey.
There was also a long list of monsters - their names , characteristics, abilities and appearance. That was pretty much all that was in the database.
Searching for more it found nothing but a video , accessing it the video began to play --
A white haired man with goggles , wearing a long white robe stared directly at a camera. Looking at this video , It couldn't help but get the feeling that the man was staring directly at it.
" My name is Apollo , your creator. You probably know that already as you've already reached this deep in your database , I won't tell you much but this - the hunter you've been assigned to is a person I value as much as I value you , to him you can become a life-long companion , a friend or even a comrade. But never ever leave his side , no matter the situation. Anoth - "
Before It could continue to watch the video , a loud beep interrupted it causing It to shift its attention to where it came from - a blonde haired man was holding up something that seemed like a watch , and in the air something manifested , the information in it's database surfaced and it was alerted that it was a hologram that was being projected - a picture that manifested using the mana in the air.
More information began to surface - such gadgets as the watch that could play videos , record voices or receive information were only given to the elite hunters or people of higher standing or authority.

Description : in an abandoned place outside Area 64 , a monster of an unknown ranking is running amok and slowly approaching Area 64 , at current progress it is estimated that by the time it reaches Area 64 - it should be threatening to the first layer of defence. It's current rank is unknown but should be lower than A-rank , ERADICATE it before it becomes a threat !
