Lysander heard her words and wrapped his arins tightly around her. "But I like being with you."
Elara looked into his mesmerizing eyes, the way they always captivated her, and felt suddenly drawn to him. "Lysander, you: have amazing eyes!". Lysander said nothing.
She reached out, wrapped her arms around his head, pulled him close, and kissed his eyelids.
As her soft lips touched him, Lysander felt as if the whole world had bloomed.
He gazed at her with a glimmer of desire, his voice husky. "Not sleepy?"
"Time to sleep!" Elara hurriedly lay down, flustered.
'No more inviting him!' she thought.
In the morning, Wyatt came over.
Somehow, he had heard about Lysander's injury and came over to check on Lysander.
Hearing the news, Lysander climbed out of bed without disturbing Elara and went downstairs in his slippers.Belonging to .
Wyatt was already sitting on the couch, waiting. "I heard you got hurt?"
Lysander shrugged. "Just a small injury."
"Let me take a look," Wyatt said.
"It's really fine now," Lysander insisted.
Wyatt narrowed his eyes and coldly looked at Lysander. "You sure? I had to hear about your injury from others! And I heard you even went to Rivercity."
"I had some business to handle there," Lysander replied.
"What could've been so important that you didn't even take care of yourself?" Wyatt said.
Lysander glanced at his father. Though confronted by an angry Wyatt, he looked surprisingly composed despite the scolding.
"Why are you here so early? I'm still trying to sleep," Lysander said.
"Sleep? At this hour? Do you even know what time it is? You never used to lie in bed this late," Wyatt said.
Lysander made no reply.
He used to have trouble sleeping, but after joining the army, things improved.
And in the last couple of days, with Elara by his side, he found himself sleeping more soundly than ever.
Wyatt continued, "You're still young. Don't waste your energy on women. Discipline is what you need! You know I expect a lot from you." Wyatt's only concern when it came to Lysander was his career.

As his son, Lysander wat ew eptional- he had inherited almost of Wyar's strengths and talents, maybe even surpassed Wyatt
That was precisely why Wyan wouldn't tolerate anything less than excellence in Ivanefer's life.
Lysander met his father's gaze. "I know."
He knew exactly who his father was hinting at-Elara.
His father, however, didn't object to him being with Elara.
But at the same time, Wyatt didn't want Lysander to get too attached to her either.
Wyatt said. "By the way, I brought someone else for you to meet
Soon, a girl with short hair entered from outside.
She was dressed in a shirt and long pants-an outfit that looked quite androgynous.
She looked like a young man.
When she saw Lysander, she stepped aside and politely said, "Hello."
She clearly knew how to conduct herself.
Wyatt introduced her, "She is a doctor at the military hospital and also the daughter of Orson Swift. I've been meaning to introduce you two for a while."
Lysander sat on the couch while Juan Swift attended to the wound on his arm, hadn't been taking proper care of it.
Juan gave Wyatt a detailed report on the wound right in front of Lysander.
Wyatt shot his son a meaningful look. "You've got quite the nerve, haven't you?"
He was tempted to call him a lovesick fool, but he held his tongue.
After Wyatt left, Lysander headed to his room.
which had been slow to heal because he
Juan was still downstairs, and Crispin had already woken up at this time. He eyed Juan, who had been sent to keep an eye on Lysander, and asked bluntly, "Are you male or female?" 'Male? But this guy has soft, fair skin. Then female? No, this guy dresses like a man,' he thought.
Juan replied coolly, "Biologically female, but you can think of me as a man if it makes things easier."
Crispin was left speechless.
Later, Elara woke up and noticed Lysander's wound had been expertly dressed. "Who helped you? Did you get a doctor?"
"My dad sent over a military doctor," Lysander replied. "Said she'd be sticking around until I heal."
Elara nodded. "Well, he did the right thing."
Lysander looked over at her and casually rested his hand on her
It was a simple gesture, but it carried a surprising amount of tension.
Elara glanced at him, feeling that everything about Lysander now seemed to radiate raw masculinity.

Chapter 122-
"I think I'm a little hungry he said.
"Hmm?" Lysander leaned in closer.
"I said, I'm hungry," she repeated.
"I know," Lysander said with a grin, then kissed her on the cheek Go downstairs and cat."
He seemed entirely calm, but Elara was taken aback.
For a moment, she almost thought he was going to...
"This jerk!' she thought. 'He was teasing me on purpose, wasn't he?'
Lysander changed his clothes, while Elara didn't bother to.

She wasn't planning on going anywhere, so she simply freshened up before heading downstairs with him for the meal.
Crispin and Juan were both there.
Juan remained silent, in stark contrast to Crispin, who talked a lot.
Elara almost mistook her for a man too.
After eating, Juan went about her business.
Watching her leave, Crispin turned to Lysander and said, "Lysander, have you ever felt that she seems more like a man than me? Even her name, Juan, sounds like a man's name."
It was only then that Elara realized Juan was actually a girl.
Juan didn't even have the usual presence of a housekeeper-disappearing right after helping Lysander with his wounds each, day.
Under her care, Lysander's wound healed quickly.
Elara had to admit that she was quite professional.
That night, when Elara saw that Lysander's wound had scabbed over, she sighed in relief. "It looks so much better. Dr. Swift really is excellent."
Lysander leaned back against the pillows and wrapped his arms around her without saying a word.
Elara looked at him and kissed him on the cheek. "You're listening, right?"
"I am listening," Lysander replied. "I'm watching you too. Don't distract me."
She couldn't help but smile.
After Lysander's recovery, their vacation ended, and Juan also left.
Elara returned to Brookfield.
She had two plots of land she'd said she would develop herself, so she went back to Brookfield to take care of things on that side.
Crispin returned with her, along with Rachel and another assistant her father had sent earlier.
Elara had established a subsidiary company.

Hadden, who had sold her the land, reached out to see if she was interested in a partnership.
Elara agreed.

Hadden ran a hotel in Brookfield, and with the connections he had built over the years, he could assist her with many things. Even so, Elara had plenty to handle and spent more time in Brookfield than expected.
One evening, after drinks with some of Hadden's friends, Elaraepped outside and saw Asher, someone she hadn't seen in a while. He was with Daphne.
It wasn't clear what had happened between them, but she saw Asher angrily slaping Daphne, who covered her face and didn't retaliate. Daphne hailed a cab and left.
Asher looked
up and spotted Elara across the street.
She wore a white shirt, tucked into a sleek, professional-looking pencil skirt, paired with high heels that accentuated her long, shapely legs.
She used to be much thinner, but now she'd filled out just enough-not fat, but perfectly proportioned. She had the look of a woman who had blossomed into elegance.
Despite awkwardly crossing paths with Asher and Daphne, Elara didn't shy away. Instead, she had someone bring a chair over and sat down, watching the scene unfold.
Asher was about to leave when a man in a suit approached him. "Mr. Blackwood, our lady would like a word with you."
In moments like these, when he was caught in a mess, the last thing he wanted was for someone he knew to see him, but Elara clearly didn't think Asher had been humiliated enough.
