"Garson and his family were monsters. I don't know what happened to him. But the world is a better place now that he's gone. I gained my sister back, and we started over. Whoever was responsible, we'll always be thankful to them. And the fact you're looking for justice on behalf of such a man speaks volumes about you and your organization. Now, it's time for me to leave."

It's getting closer to midnight, and Garson still hasn't woken up. He's alive, don't get me wrong. But I must've hit him way harder than I intended to. Given my free time, I should distribute the stat points I've stockpiled.
My (PER) stat looks pathetic compared to my other stats. Since I don't have any other stats to dump the points into, it's the obvious option here. Now that it's risen, I look at my new player stats.

I still don't know what (Primeval Divinity) does. It's just a stat that goes up at random times. The first time was when I crafted (Monument of Sin), but the second time was when I saw Garson on top of Felicity. A surge of power went through me when it happened, too.
There isn't anyone I can go to asking questions about it without risking my identity. It's clear enough it's something exclusive to my class since I gained the stat when I gained the class.
"You've been staring at your system screen for quite some time now. Normally, I wouldn't be nosy, but I've meant to ask. Do you mind telling me what kind of class you have?"
Gregon's voice pulls my attention from the screen. I'm a little upset that I still haven't gotten my (PER) stat over 100, but after Savior of Sister is truly finished, I'll gain a few more levels. As for Gregon's question, I don't know where to start with that.
I don't want anyone to know about my class. Just one slip-up from that person and everything about my life will change. It won't happen immediately. The change will be subtle. A pursuer here and a hunter there.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
After some time, entire guilds in the real world and organizations in AG will be behind me. Constantly trying to bother me or kill me.
"Why do you want to know about my class? It's nothing special. If it were, I wouldn't be wasting time in Geonia. I'd be heading to larger cities and taking on harder quests."
I've always been a moderately good liar. But there are many out there way better than me. It was just the way I was raised. Hard to break that kind of habit, but I have my moments. A lot of the time, I can't come up with good lies on the spot.
This isn't one of those moments, since I can see that Gregon nods and takes on a more thoughtful expression. If I didn't at least convince him a little, he wouldn't have to think about it cause he'd know it's a lie.
That's how you can tell if someone believes or calls you on your lies. It's all in how they take it. Unless they know you're watching for it. If that's the case, they can act to deceive you.
"That's true. My sons immediately left Geonia when they got powerful classes. That's how it always is. You must just be really good at fighting, huh? What you've accomplished since I met you is impressive. It's hard to believe you're so young."
There is a hint of suspicion in his voice. Clearly telling me that he's unconvinced that I'm ordinary. But I can't convince him of that, not after everything I've accomplished since I extorted him for Roughtail.
"I'm not saying you have to tell me. After all, if a person wants to keep their class a secret, that's their business. Just watching you stare at your system screen reminded me of my sons, is all."
A certain sad tone escapes Gregon as he says that. Before I can try to question him more about the subject, the door to the barn opens, and the ladies of the hour walk in.
Both their eyes find me first, leaning against a wooden beam holding up a section of the barn. Garson sitting in the middle of the room, bound with Gregon's special rope. They don't say anything to me and instead make their way over to Garson.
Once they're standing in front of them, their eyes never leave him. I can see the dark overcast caused by their bangs. The burning fury in their eyes.
"Thank you for saving my sister and bringing Garson here. I never thought I'd get the chance to do this myself."
In the back of my mind, I know they're about to torture the guy. I'm not worried about Garson. It's Celia I'm worried about. She's pregnant and near her due date, from a rough estimate. Something bad can happen if this little 'scene' gets too intense.
The real question is, should I be the one to raise this concern? It's not like the baby is mine. Celia wouldn't want an almost stranger to give any input about her body. At least, that's the impression I get from women in general.
It's difficult to talk to them because if you make one wrong move, you can become a mortal enemy. I've seen it in real life. So, I think it's best just to stay silent.
"You've done what I've asked. Thank you for keeping your promise. I never thought a person would keep a promise to me again."
[A Quest Has Been Updated]
[You've leveled up 3x times!]
[You've earned 21 stat points!]
[You have 21 unspent stat points!]
[+50,000 Rep with Celia Catherine and Felicity Faredawn!]
[+15,000 Rep with (Unknown) noble house! (Effective when you're involvement is known to them.)]
[You are now best friends with Celia and Felicity!]
However, as the quest rewards are received, another notification appears on my system screen—one that I didn't really expect. And not for the reasons you think, either.
[You're the first player to reach Lvl. 50!]
[Normally, you'd expect a great reward or some unique quest to help you become stronger!]
[That's not how it works in AG!]
[Good Luck!]
Wow...
In every single VRMMORPG I've ever played, there is some bonus for being the first player to reach certain level thresholds.
"Unbelievable... This is just unbelievable."
I'm not angry or upset.
I'm... Flabbergasted? Happy? Surprised?
A mixture of all three, maybe?
After seeing the notification, I can only release a silent little chuckle to myself.
AG is making everyone work for it.
And I fucking love it.
Before I get lost in the fun mixture of emotions, I focus back on the situation at hand. That's Celia and Felicity having Garson in front of them.
"I'm a man of my word and promises. I told you I'd save your sister, and I did. That little bonus step made it a challenge, but thankfully, Felicity trusted me. Thanks to her, it was far easier than I expected."
They both slowly nod at my words, and their attention turns back to Garson. I suppose they'll want to enjoy this moment alone, and Gregon has the same thought as he motions with a tilt of his head to follow him.
We leave the girls in the barn with the bound and restrained Garson. Whatever they're playing to do to him, as a man, I don't think I want to see. There is such a thing as pain through visual demonstration. Not interested in that.
But I do have some concerns. Mainly that rope. If it breaks, they'll be in trouble.
"How strong is that rope? Cause Garson isn't a pushover, and I don't want them hurt by that man anymore."
A small smile creeps on Gregon's face, almost like he's been waiting for me to ask that question since we left the barn.
"It's a special kind of rope used on Griffins. If a level 200 tier 2 Griffin can't break it, neither can Garson. I promise you that."
Geez, even the rope in AG can be OP as hell.
It shows me that there are limitless possibilities if I just have the imagination. But now that I'm finally done with Savior of Sisters, I'll have to find other quests.
Eliza wanted to talk to me when I was finished with Savior of Sisters, but it's to late tonight. I suppose heading to an Inn and logging off for the night is all I have left to do. But it's been an exciting day, to say the least.
