We've been traveling for a long time now, it is the second day escorting a merchant. Aldric made us sit on the roof of his carriage so that we won't just walk. Me and Jayden take turns to sleep and who to take guard. This is boring but the reward is worth it.

"Boys, we are going to take a rest here" Aldric shouted to us

I looked at what Aldric is pointing out, it is a small village, I woke Jayden up. We arrived at the village's entry and we saw local people around. Two kids are playing, some people are talking to each other and some are........dating on a bench, reminds me of how single I am in my previous life.

Aldric stopped in front of somekind of a restaurant. We all entered, it is a restaurant, the inside is beautiful with flowers everywhere and it is full of people. We took an empty seat and called for a water.

"Hello, welcome to Kristina's restaurant, what food or drinks do you want to get?" A girl came and asked while she gave us the menus.

I looked at the menu, there are cakes, foods, coffees, drinks, pancakes, soups, pasta or noodles and there's even specialty items, hmmm, let me see.

Wow, all of them have catchy names, I'll just take the Roasted Chicken, Macchiato and hmmmmm, from the specialty items, I'll just take the Knight's Shield Burger because I'm a knight...........hehe :).

"I'll take Roasted Chicken, Macchiato, and Knight's Shield Burger" I said to the waiter

"I'll take Wizard's Potion Stew, Enchanted Forest Herb-Roasted Pork, and a Cardamom Coffee please" Aldric said to the waiter

"I'll take the Apple Rose Tart, Roasted Chicken, Enchanted Forest Herb-Roasted Pork, Mint Julep, Wizard's Potion Stew, and the Dragon Slayer's Stake" Jayden said to the waiter

As I expected to the guy who eats a lot and goes to the gym, Jayden ate a lot from the previous life, I also go to the gym but I gave up because I don't get fatter or bigger.

I remembered that when I was young, I put a lot of food on my plate that grandma even said that it looked like a volcano but I still didn't even get fatter.

We waited for our orders, damn it's getting hot in this knights' armor, I just want to use this armor because of obsession. I took off my helmet and put it under the table. Our order arrived early, it was all of my order, the waiter put my orders on my plate, nu uh, I ain't eating till these two got their orders.

Looking at the style of my orders, they are also looking good like it fits their name. The both finally got their order and we ate, all the food tasted good but no match to Luminaria's guild foods, but the only food to compete with Luminaria's guild food is the Knight's Shield Burger, so tasty and it really is a specialty order.

We finished our food, we called the waiter so that we will pay the food and went outside to Aldric's carriage. We decided to take a nap or rest inside of Aldric's carriage, this is our first time entering his carriage, it is full of potions, I should touch nothing or something bad might happen.

Jayden went to sleep in bed, there are two beds in the carriage, it made sense for how big the carriage is, Aldric opened his carriage's window, he might sell some potions while we are resting.

To be honest, I can't sleep during the day and no matter what I do, I can only sleep in peace at night. I just went outside and sat on the carriage's little porch while taking the view of the people, they are really peaceful. Aldric attracted a lot of customers, he's like selling a lot of potions.

Hmmm? I am hearing shoutings not far away, what is happening? Curiousity got me, I opened the door to ask Aldric for permission to leave for a bit.

"Hey Aldric, I'll check some things up so I'll be gone for a while" I said to Aldric

He nodded and continued selling potions to the people. I closed the door and took my helmet from the porch and ran to the place where noise is coming from.

There are a lot of people crowding something, it looked like there was a fight going on. I ran to the crowd and took a peek, there is a rogue on top of a big guy punching him on the face. The people watching around just only said "stop that stop that" and some people just cheered.

What do I do, just watch? As a knight, knights bring peace to people no matter what place they are and as a knight, I should stop fights. I pushed the people in front of me to go to the middle. I ran to the two guys fighting and pushed the rogue away who's on top of the big guy, the big guy stood up.

"In the spirit of knighthood, I beseech you to end this quarrel. True bravery lies in controlling one's temper and seeking understanding. Let us be exemplars of nobility and peace." I said to both of them, haha, what kind of speech did I just say

"But he started it" the rogue pointed at the big guy

"I don't know what are your laws here so all I can do is to stop your fight and make peace so please just depart each other and never meet again" I said to them

Forgiveness is hard to do and revenge is the easiest to do so I'll just say that both of them will depart, both of them departed, someone helped the bruised guy to go somewhere.

The people around scattered maybe going somewhere. I just sighed and went back to Aldric, we just rested and did nothing, Aldric earned a lot of money from selling potions.

All of us recovered, Aldric closed and covered his carriage and rode to his horse. Me and Jayden went to the roof of the carriage and sat there. We started our journey again, we just exited the village, I saw a familiar rogue walking to the direction we are going, he looked back, it is the rogue who is in the fight.

"Hey, where are you headed?" The rogue asked Aldric

"To Silverhaven, why?" Aldric replied to the rogue

"Can you give me a ride? I'm also heading to Silverhaven, I can give you money if we arrive there" The rogue said to Aldric

"HAha! No need to pay my child, I can give you a ride for free, just join the two back there" Aldric said to the rogue

The rogue looked at us

"Oh, uhhh, it's you again" the rogue said to me

"Who is he?" Jayden asked me

"He's the guy I stopped in a fight while you were sleeping" I replied to Jayden

"Can you help me?" The rogue asked me

I reached his hand and pulled him up, he grabbed support with his other hand and made it.

"Where are you both headed?" The rogue asked us

"Just guarding the merchant on his way to Silverhaven, it is our guild quest" I replied to him

"Wait, both of you are in a guild?" He asked

"Yes, why are you surprised?" I asked him

"I just wanted to go to Silverhaven and join the guild to earn money, they said it is easy to earn money in guilds, wait, I know this is embarrassing for me to ask but, can I join your group?" He said and asked us

Join our group? Wait, both Jayden and I still have difficulty on completing tasks in Luminaria guild quests and also depressing when it's just the two of us. Maybe a helping hand and a new friend would be good.

"Okay then, what's your name?" I answered and asked him

"Wait really? You let me join to your group?" He asked in excitement

I nodded

"My name is Kirby, nice to meet the both of you and pleasure to be worki

ng with the both of you" Kirby said to us and raise his hand for a handshake

He really looked excited, we both shook his hand. A new guy in our group, it also feels pretty exciting.
