CHAPTER 8
Daimen stood on the throne, unscathed. Smiling, he looked at the Goblin King.
He used his skill, ‘Appraisal.’
[Appraisal – Skill Activated]
[Name:- DingDong Peng
Level:- 35
Race:- Goblin
Title:- [Goblin King] — This title allows The Goblin King to have complete monopoly over other Goblins.
Goblin kings are cunning and manipulative leaders of goblins tribes. They have a very strong body and many supernatural abilities. They are often very prideful and arrogant and look down on humans as they consider them weak.]
Taken aback by his level, Damien, for sure, knew that the Goblin King was quite powerful. However, he hadn’t expected that the Goblin King’s level would be higher than his.
Daimen sighed, “Well, it's do or die...”
Daimen said as he cracked his head and stood on the wooden throne of DingDong.
“Let's get serious now!” He said as he activated all his skills and held his daggers and looked at the monster in front of him. The Goblin King was fuming; a human dared to step on his throne!
His aura flared “You will regret doing that, HUMAN!!”
“We will see about that!”
Damien taunted as he got into a position. He lunged towards DingDong.
– Swoosh!
Within a second he arrived on the neck of Goblin king.
“Die!”
– Slash!
Daimen thrusted both daggers towards DingDong’s neck.
"Stupid human!" Seeing this act, the Goblin king sneered at him as Daimen approached the Goblin king's neck, but then suddenly his instincts screamed at him. He kicked in as he sank into his own shadow.
As Daimen entered his own shadow, all he could see was darkness, but he felt at home here; it felt like he belonged here. He knew the goblin king was strong, stronger than anyone he had encountered before. It was exhilarating for him as his blood rushed in his veins and a grin adorned his face.
He took a deep breath and emerged from his shadow, a bit far away from where the Goblin king was standing.
The Goblin king remained in his previous spot, confused as the human loomed over him, and the next minute he vanished as if he had never been there. He looked around in an attempt to find the audacious human who had dared to stand on his throne.

"Hoh, that was close." DingDong's eyes perked up as he turned his colossal head toward the voice. He spotted Daimen standing there with his purple eyes, gazing at him with excitement. ‘Is this human foolish? Why is he thrilled to confront me?’
"Well, not that it matters."
He snorted as he glanced at the human who stood there, channeling immense mana into his club, raising his hand in a poised position.
Daimen looked at the swirling mana surrounding the club, covered by a pure green aura. As the towering club loomed over him, he wore a challenging grin and dashed forward with full speed.
The Goblin King observed Daimen as he dashed towards him, leaving a trail of purplish mana in his wake. The sight of that mana filled him with fear. It SCREAMED OF DEATH. Nevertheless, his pride as the king of his race wouldn't allow him to back down from just a glimpse of it. He possessed pride, for he was the STRONGEST among his kind. He knew how he clawed his way up from the bottom of the food chain, transforming into an apex predator instead of remaining a Prey for the powerful.
He grinned, relishing the fact that it had been a while since he truly unleashed his power. "Human, I shall give you a battle you shall never forget, KEKEKEKEKEKE," he declared, readying himself to counter Daimen's onslaught.
Daimen dashed forward, wielding dual daggers as he activated [Formless Dual Daggers] that enhanced his attributes, causing him to appear blurry to his foes. Adrenaline surged through his veins, his muscles swelled, and his calves grew stronger, making him feel invulnerable.
All of this transpired in mere moments as Daimen approached DingDong's knee cap. His goal was to inflict minor damage and sever the tendons in his legs, thereby gaining an advantage. He knew that the larger the adversary, the easier the task became.
Without wasting any further time, he adeptly grasped his daggers and the enchantments of his skill made him a truly formidable adversary.
– Swoosh!
With a swift movement, he attempted to sever his kneecap, but it wasn't as effortless as he had anticipated. DingDong proved to be tougher than he had imagined! All he managed to do was create a deep gash, causing blood to spurt from his veins when he grazed his tendons. DingDong's club, enchanted with raw mana, swiftly arrived near his face, propelling him into a crumbling stone pillar upon impact.
"Kugh, naturally it won't be easy. However, now I know I can at least harm him," Daimen declared, rising from the rubble of the stone pillar. His black tank top, torn and tattered, was clutched in his hand before being torn apart completely. Daimen stood defiantly, his flawless physique exposed to the elements, as he wiped away the blood trickling from his nose. Fueled by adrenaline, his heart pounded wildly—THIS WAS WHAT HE LONGED FOR, TO ENGAGE IN A FIERCE BATTLE WITH ALL HIS MIGHT.
He locked eyes with the towering Goblin, who stood there patiently, awaiting his next move. "Hey, Goblin. I am Daimen. Let us fight to our hearts' content and etch my face into your memory, for I will be the one to end your life."
The colossal Goblin merely grinned at his words, bursting into laughter. "KEKEKEKE! Human, don't disappoint me," he taunted. As the laughter subsided, it signaled the start of round two. Both combatants infused their trusty weapons with their own mana and charged at each other.
Daimen, wielding both his daggers with immense mana circulation within them, clashed with the Goblin's club.
– Clang!
"Human, is that all?"
The Goblin King taunted Daimen as they clashed. However, Daimen remained silent, instead unleashing a powerful kick that altered the trajectory of his body, causing him to descend towards the ground. DingDong observed him with amusement, preparing himself for what was to follow. He anticipated that Daimen would employ the same move he used at the beginning of their fight, while readying his own club.
However, DingDong's eyes widened as he witnessed Daimen sink into the ground upon contact with it. He became increasingly perplexed as he was unable to detect Daimen's presence at all. It appeared as though he had vanished without a trace. DingDong extended his awareness as far as he possibly could.
[Iron Body: This ability grants the Goblin King a body as tough as iron, rendering him difficult to penetrate.] (Author's Note: Description of the Goblin King's ability)
Suddenly, DingDong's instinct for survival as a beast kicked in, compelling him to activate his impenetrable iron body. Yet, it was too late, for Daimen had already appeared near his neck, wielding both of his mana-infused daggers. With a swift movement, he delivered a vicious and sizable cut to the Goblin's throat.
– Blurghhhhh.
As a river of green blood sprouted out from the goblin's neck in desperation, he brought both his hands near his throat to control the bleeding. But it was too late.
– Slash!
Daimen wouldn't miss this opportunity, and with a final move, he chopped off the goblin's fingers as more green blood flowed.
– Thud!
The head rolled on the ground, and gazed at Damien.
In his last words, the goblin muttered something, "H......u...ma....n...t.h...a...n...k...." Without completing his sentence, he died.
Daimen's face adorned a small smile before passing out. "Your welcome," his body was exhausted as he had pushed his body beyond its capabilities.
