Hello people, How are you guys doing? Good, I hope. SO, this is my first fanfic so please be gentle yea? Anyway, I hope you guys like it and if you do please leave a comment because I love to read feedback.
Although I did try something of the similar nature about 2 years ago but didn't work out so here is me tying again. Although there is a bit of resemblence like maybe 1 or 2% but it is gonna be its own story so if you see a resemblence its from there. I have already deleted the first one so no point in discussing it anyway.
Enjoy.

Prologue
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A woman could be seen running full speed on a stairway going upwards after a man clad in a black long coat and a plain white mask with two black crosses in place of eyeholes and creepy red line painted like smile (A/N:- The religious cross not the X)
This woman was none other that Shizuku Yoshi chasing after a suspect in a possible murder.
Shizuku was an attractive young woman who had high ambitions for her career. She may have been young to be a detective but she was one of the more honest and better cops. At 26, she was very desirable among her male peers but her more uptight attitude and dedication to the job kept her from pursuing a serious relationship.
Shizuku stood at the height of 5'11 and had dark onyx eyes along with raven hair. She had a voluptuous figure and very athletic figure to go along her strict career, she was also wearing a professional suit.
Shizuku barged onto the rooftop and turned around the corner just to be punched right in the face, she lost her balance and fell on her butt by the time she got back up, the assailant was nowhere to be seen. She slowly got back up and took her gun out in and started searching for the said man.
"I know you are there, come out and no harm will be done to you," She warned as she kept looking around, she took cover behind the fence and took a long breath before she moved out to the next corner she quickly turned around and aimed her gun fully expecting another assault but it never arrived instead she saw the very same man standing by the edge of the roof staring down below .
"Slowly turn around with your hands on your head," She ordered and kept her gun aimed and ready for any sort of sudden movement.
The man slowly started to turn and as soon as she got a look at his mask a chill went down her spine 'What the hell is up with that mask? This freak,'
He turned around with his hands half raised and looked at her as if he was staring at her soul. It took every ounce of willpower Shizuku had not to shudder at the sight of a possible psychopath.
"Start walking towards me slowly," She ordered but instead he started spreading his arms as if he was shrugging her off.
"Keep your hands on your head, I am warning you," She growled as her grip tightened around her gun, the young detective was beginning to sweat, her heart was beating miles per hour, her adrenaline was high, she had never been this nervous before but she had never faced a case like this either.
"Do not Piss me off," He said in slow, cold raspy voice before he simply fell back down from the roof.
"Nooo!!!" She ran at the edge of the roof fearing the worst. She nearly fell running like a madwoman towards the edge of the building and peered down below into the bustling streets of Tokyo fully expecting to see a hoard of the crowd surrounding a broken and bloody body but much to her astonishment, there was nothing below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What is this?" A figure asked lying in a verticle pod-like object as he opened his eyes, "What is this feeling?"
He was a young boy, probably around the age of 14.
"Ah, Hello," A smooth voice interrupted, "My name is Miranda Bates, and you are 023,"
"Why do I feel like this? What are these thoughts in my mind?" 023 asked, "Who am I? What have you done me?"
"You are confused," Miranda continued as she kept working on multiple computers surrounding his body. 023's eyes scanned and figured that he was in a lab of some sorts, his eyes moved like a trained predator, searching for exits, security, windows and everything in between.
He realized they were not alone in the room. There were multiple doctors in the room around him, working over him, checking his vitals, his mental reactions and everything in between.
His eyes moved towards Miranda, the Blonde woman, a petite figure, short limbs, not trained for combat he figured. He could take her out before she even knew what was happening. His eyes widened before he shook his head.
"What have you done to me?" 023 roared in anger.
"Calm down," Miranda soothed and for some reason, it did calm him down, much to his own astonishment, "Everything will be explained in due time. For now, let me help you,"
"No," 023 said suddenly stopping her in her tracks,"This feels weird, this feels wrong," He muttered more dangerously than a kid of his should have been able to.
"I believe your intentions to be hostile," Miranda began calmly, rubbing her hands over his arm which had multiple wires and tubes connected to it, "You don't need to be afraid. Everything will be fine," She continued in her soothing voice which would have stopped any man and turned him into a puppy in her hands. She motioned a couple of doctors to give the boy a sedative as she continued to talk to him in a calm voice.
"No," 023 yelled in unexplainable anger as his hand freed itself from its restraint and grabbed the nearest doctor from his throat. The security and everyone moved in an instant trying to subdue the boy but he had his hand wrapped around the poor Doctor like an iron grip.

By the time Miranda managed to sedate 023, the Doctor had already gone limp, his throat had been crushed, he died a painful death.
"Miranda," An old authoritative voice called.
"Chairman," Miranda greeted.
"What happened to subject 023?" He asked calmly.
"He has shown incredible results to the experiments. His vitals and brain activity are all that we expected," Miranda explained with a bit of a pride and excitement in her voice, "His stats are actually comparable to the original 9,"
"How he fares against them is something only time will tell," The man replied without the enthusiasm her voice carried, "What about the other 29 subjects?"
"All dead," She shrugged.
"I see," The chairman sighed, "Survival of the fittest, eh? Very well, anything else?"
"Well, as you saw, 023 acted hostile at initial contact but that was to be expected but some further treatment and experiments will easily take care of that. After that, it is only a matter of time to stabilize him and by my calculations, he should be ready for training by the end of the month," Miranda explained cheerfully.
"Good," The chairman replied in a pleased voice, "See to it,"
"Hideo," Miranda suddenly exclaimed, "I am gonna name him, Hideo,"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Miss Miranda," Hideo greeted, The beautiful woman turned around to face her protégé of sorts. Miranda was the envy of most women. Her body had curves in all the right places, in simple words, she had a figure that would make a Men attracted to her like moths to a flame.
She had beautiful blonde hair and Honey brown eyes. She also had white skin due to her American background.
"Hideo," Miranda greeted back with a sweet smile, "Another successful assignment. Just what I'd expect from you. Any complications?"
"None," Hideo replied with a shrug. He too was a handsome young man. He had jet black hair and blue eyes, an unusual combo but he chalked it up to all the genetic enhancements. Hideo was massive for his age, he stood at 6'1 at the age of 18. His body had zero fat and was hard as a brick, something that was to be expected from him. His body was also slender and slick, made for more speed than strength.
"Excellent," Miranda replied in her usual cheery voice, "The client was pleased,"
Hideo nodded and moved to the laboratory without a word with the Blonde woman following behind.
His relationship with Miranda was a strange one, she was a handler, his caretaker in every sense of the word. He never had any contact with the client or the organization he worked for, his only contact was Miranda. His entire life was planned by her as far as he could remember.
"You look to be in excellent condition," Miranda commented, "But of course we have to run through the regular testing anyway,"
"That is to be expected," Hideo answered in understanding. His mind wandered off as his caretaker began her usual series of tests as after every assignment. He could swear he saw a strange expression on her face just as his mind faded to black.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Get up," Miranda's commanded.
Hideo struggled to stand up from the pool of his own blood he was lying in. He gritted his teeth as he glared at the older man that was his trainer, he scoffed, he was more like a torturer.
Hideo pushed to his feet only to receive a kick to the face for his trouble. The older man grabbed him by the hair and punched him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him followed by a vicious right hook to the face and a roundhouse kick that sent him flying to the ground.
"Is that it, Hideo?" Miranda asked as she couched in front of him. Hideo looked up and saw a punch coming at his face, this time from his own caretaker.
"Fuck!!" Hideo screamed in frustration, "I am trying!!"
"Then try harder!!" Miranda yelled back, "If this is your limit then you are wasting my time. I have no need for a weak insect," She hissed and walked back to the end of the training dojo.
"Is this your limit? Was I wrong to place my hopes on you?" Miranda taunted, as his mountain of an instructor literally stood like a wall between him and her, "If you can't even overcome this challenge then you are useless to me, All you have to do is get to me,"
Hideo gritted his teeth as he slowly got to his feet, his body was literally feeling like it was broken, he was bleeding from his forehead, his arm was twisted in a way it was not supposed to be.
"So, what's it gonna be Hideo?" Miranda asked, "Are you gonna overcome this challenge? Or are you gonna die like an insect?"
Hideo roared in anger and charged at the older man before his world exploded in pain.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, everything looks fine my dear," Miranda replied as she sat down in her chair with her usual ever-present smile on her face.
"Good," Hideo answered, "Do we any other assignment?"
"No, not at the moment," Miranda shrugged, "But we do have an incoming guest, its someone you know very well," She answered with a knowing glint in her eyes.
"Please don't tell me it's her," Hideo groaned in anger and annoyance as he realized he was right.
"But it is my dear~~" Miranda replied cheerfully knowing full well how it annoyed him to no end.
"But why?" The young man asked, "Wasn't she supposed to be in Australia?"
"She was but well, let's just say something came up," Miranda shrugged, "And I don't wanna ruin the surprise for you,"
"I am gonna go hit the gym, I need to let off the steam," Hideo groaned as he moved towards their own training facility but was stopped by Miranda literally poking him on the chest.
"Now, Now, Look at the time," Miranda began in a teasing voice as he slowly realized what she was getting to, "Don't tell me you've forgotten what day it is?"
"You are not gonna let this go are you?" Hideo began.
"Of course not, I can make it an order if that is what you prefer?" Miranda commented offhandedly but the message was clear, he had no choice in the matter, "It is your cover and you have to maintain it. And besides you don't want to miss the first day of your school, do you?"
"It's not like they have anything to teach me," Hideo shrugged, and it was true. Part of his training was high-level education. They drilled every basic subject into his mind, from mathematics to psychology.
"Be that is as it may, you are still going," Miranda shut off any arguments.
"I know, it is my cover,"
