The new home part 2

Alright, let's start the ritual magecraft.'

"Ough"

'First - I need twelve of you to cross around this dungeon and start to focus on shifting the ground to yourself (but don't overdo it.) Second - the rest of the wargolds should focus on cross-sharing on the magecraft I would be concentrating on.'

"Skt"

Once I command - the group of wargolds gets symmetrically around the dungeon - as they start to use the gravitation gift of the archdevil to pull the tomb in all directions - the dungeon begins to shake with full force, yet it is still as stiff as the gnome's mountains.

'Yeah, it should be enough; now, I should think about the concept chant- let's see... Hear my words - the four winds of Agatria, for I am Darch - the right hand of the most fearsome archdevil in Adamas cycle command you - blow the high presence of your upon the seal and break the path to the next side!'

"「」"

The tomb had shattered - 3 shiny circles with a beautiful variety of odd symbols appeared right beneath the entree and started to spin while throwing lightning in every possible direction. Around 10 minutes - nothing seemed to change when suddenly.

'Even with preparation like this, we have only like 15 seconds opening.'

"Wouf!"

The 4 closest wargolds, including Sarka, had immediately run toward the gates, coupled with me being the fifth.

"Wouf"

'Yeah - despite my words of pulling something off - all I managed to accomplish was the simple barrier breaker imitation that trapped us into a situation like this.'

"Ough"

'What? Was that not the reason for the reaction just now?'

"Wouuf"

'It seems you were impressed by the magecraft I pulled just now... well, the consequences were far superior - so there is no place for such feelings.'

The dungeon sure looked far more frightening inside - walls seemed to be way newer yet fully filled with a scent of blood, the terrifying statues of beast-like monsters standing in every corner as if looking for new prey. However - the dungeon itself doesn't show any sign of greatness, corridors, despite being fairly enough for three people to walk freely it is compensated by their primitiveness - the lack of branches and alternative ways appear to be enormous with only one way and a few corners.

As we moved across the dungeon, the first that caught our eyes was nothing, not a single monster nor human - as if they had never walked this place to begin with. With every step, corridors feel more and more narrow to the point of trying to smash our bodies into one single plate.

"ough"

'Looks like we came to the nearly perfect timing, yet one of the worst at the same time.'

The gate in front shines in all red and is covered in the jewelry of all kinds and values as if screaming for the significance and status of the one behind. However - the placement of the jewelry in question was totally off, to say the least; the creator of this place seemed to be an absolute amateur in design or a really annoying person! Yet, there was one symmetrical thing, the eye painted on top of the gates - the appearance of such thing was fitting well, too well - it was almost as if intentionally ornamented, just to piss off every perfectionist around!

'Well, we are here, Sarka - can you open the doors for us, please?'

The leader of the wargolds group, surprisingly even for me, didn't let to repeat it twice and immediately struck gates with full force. I didn't pay much attention, but isn't he too loyal even to a leader of a race known for their stubbornness - maybe I should give him a reward later as a former master.

As we entered the boss's room - it was impossible to not notice just how gigantic it compression to the original size of the tomb, which looked like a grain of dust now. To an even greater surprise, unlike the rooms we saw before, this one actually had quite a sense of style and fashion with all those emblems with the same bald-looking eyes that seemed to look through anything, yet stop at nothing - and those beasts' monuments finally had a proper placement unlike those in a corridor that was rather to scare off the person that was brave enough to even step inside, in addition to all of this - the ceiling and walls and floor is likely constructed with the use of gold and some dark red metal that made it appear to shine with a blood colors light and effectively reflects every light from the enormous looking chandeliers all over the top.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

But none of this was the subject of our attention. The pedestal in the center of this hall-looking room was as out of place as this room to the rest of the dungeon - by itself, it wasn't any special from another dungeon pedestal, but the white-golden tone, the overall small size, the lack of any ornament, symbol or even red that happens to stop right around this object (in like 100 meters) even that it was a platform with a short ladder. All of this gives the feeling that this thing is not supposed to be in a place like this, yet for odd reasons - I can't imagine the center of this hall being anything but so weirdly pedestal.

"Ghrrrr"

'So you finally noticed him? That's right - the timing is truly as bad as this place.'

Yet finally, the last object in this spectacular place - the coffin's nearby sphere, as with everything up till now, it had that weird-looking eye on it as well as a painter mostly in red color, and aura inside of it... terrifying... It covers everything here! Too Hard to move, too hard to think, too hard to ex...

'Step back and focus only on cross-sharing, as this isn't any normal presence, but the gift of the one in front.'

Notes from other world: I noticed that the magical system still looks a little bit too confusing to you - so let me make things clearer in today's story.

The are several magic systems in this world, but I don't think most of them are relevant at this point, so only about the system of the Agatria for now.

Here, lands are filled with energy called "Astral" - it isn't liquid, matter, or concept but an abstract foundation of the world itself, the mere source of all fates and lives - to control it means to control everything!

Also, this continent has 3 types of said control (names are presented in monster/human terminology).

Magecraft/Spellcast: - This is the way where creatures (mostly humans) use their brains to be the catalyst for astral and use the momentum of its passing for the purpose of transferring magic from the world of ideas to the world of physics through circuits that are divided by 10 levels. The benefit of this way is that it allows users to create more complex spells that aren't only for fights but can be used in support and everyday activities. As for downsides... well, let's say that running several weird abstracts while processing all of this isn't really a healthy method and can act as a cause of several tragic events. As for another downside - it's way too long, and the magic is always relying on those old methods of visualization -> circle making -> chanting -> transferring -> maintaining which make any mage useless for at least 3.746 seconds (official world record) without including reaction time. As someone might have guessed by now - it's very unreliable, to say the least - since any fairly skilled mage has the opportunity to break spellcasting in every one of the steps mentioned above.

Skill/Technique: Those who inherited said power gain the ability to control astral using their sheer willpower. Unlike those who spend their lives reading hard books and have little to no social interaction - all they need is to believe in themselves and their attack to hit as hard as they decide. But the payment is nothing to be slept on either astral energy, despite having no conceptual or physical structure - is always bound to something and, upon materialization, takes that "something"; for magecraft - space that needed to process, but for skill the payment if the will of the user himself, even if at first that doesn't sounds that harsh - there already many cases, where some knights had done suicide from sheer lack of will in the middle of a crucial battle, and for other nuisances - astral doesn't care about how will you put in it! What I mean by that is that if you suddenly decide to put all of ur will into "that one final attack!" there wouldn't be any system to tell you "Hey - maybe you don't want to make such a huge radius attack in the middle of a village full of civilian to kill that slime?" and turn into inevitable results even in hands or seemingly weak warrior. Last but not least, this power takes source from emotion, so it's not that easy to constantly maintain the same level of power let alone structure - that said, an attack with focused energy in one spot of some 5-circuit spell could easily break most of the skills without any trouble.

Gift/Blessing: Finally, the part you heard lately the most - Gifts! But not the presents as you might see from the human part of its name. The gifts are termin' for those powers that come to you fully from outside sources. "But what does that mean?" well... it's just that there is no way to learn this type of power - since the requirement is someone - who would give you the said powers via sorta contract. Yet, it isn't necessary to be the same type of case as those guys contract! That's right, contracts can not only be from slave-lord positions bu... let's not derail this one too much - okay? Benefits? Let's see... easiest and fastest to control and master by not adding to track any criteria; problems? Lack of versatility and chance to lose it on any day because of its power not being yours!

Well, it seems too late for now, and I still need to water my plates, so - I'm gonna visit you next time.
