My first memory that I remember is not a good one, but I suppose it's the same for everyone. People often tend to forget the good and hold onto the bad.

I remeber myself laying there, more comfortable then I could ever be but at the same time feeling most scared than I have ever been. I was laying on a velvety blanket made of younas fur, lay atop a basket of mahogany wood with the most exquisite craftsmanship and covered in intricate engraving. I don't very much remember about the basket, but people did tell me about it later in life, some of the same people that I hear grumbling, and shouting and arguing over me now.

"Where the hell did you find this, anderson" said the burly man in a commanding tone.

" In the Jungle, Captain by the Doson lake......."

" On the road toward wellshire frontier village, sir" Rickey velcowich, chimed in.

"I asked the question to Anderson not you Velcowich' respect the chain on command or get out of my office" Guard Captain Pierce said, as he pointed Rickey towards the door " Continue Anderson"

"Yes Sir" William Anderson said

As I was saying we found him in the by the lake, me and Rickey were on the morning petrol, we were just in the last bit of stretch before turning around when the hounds smelled something, we followed the dogs, and then we smelled something, it was the smell of blood and smoke and strangely barbeque

But when we arrived at the scene it was no early morning barbeque, it was a massacre. Carts were turned upside down with half the wheels missing, and the ground was scorched, and there were bodies. Completely burnt,at least two of them were humanoids, rest were burnt so bad I couldn't even recognize their species.

everything was burnt to a crisp except this child here. This basket was sitting in the middle of it all . At first we weren't sure anything could survive this, So we were gonna head back, but then I heard the crying of a babe. And we found this wee little lad tucked under the blankets. " Anderson said as he smiled towards me.

"I think we should kill it, Caption" Rickey suggested, "I mean look at its eyes, they are green for gods sake, I'm willing to bet my life's saving that this here is a demon child, and will murder us all in our sleep tonight"

"Sir, it won't do no such thing, I mean it can't, just how small he is and cute, Rickey here is out of his mind." William objected" I'm telling ya captain all the watered down two cooper booze is finally starting to get to his mind"

"ENOUGH!, I will not have 2 of my guards, be fighting and name calling each other in front of me, This shit wouldn't fly 2 days back in the capital, I would have canned your asses eons ago. I you people weren't the most component people found in this shit hole of a city"

"If you havent noticed you are also in this shithole" Murmured Rickey close lipped.

"WHAT! was that"

"Nnn.. NOthing, Sir"

"Hmmm.., So as I was saying, what was I saying again?"

" SIr, you said something about us being the most competent people" William cheekly replied

"NO, ah yes... Of course I am not going to kill the child Anderson, but what Velcowich is saying is not wrong either" "The kid is certainly strange, I am going to have to report this to the Magistar"

" SIr, I have a certain proposition" said William Anderson, shifting in a more upright formal posture " I want to claim this child as the law of 'founders keepers, losers weepers'"

"Arghhh.. YOU IDIOTS, you don't even remember the code and title of law, and you proclaim it with such a straight face" An irritated captain said "Its section 34, article 3, 'Claiming ownership of an unfound article by the member of the guard responsible for the search' or COUAMGRS for short its such an easy acronym.

"Yes sir that"

"But why would you wanna do that?"

" You see sir its almost been almost 5 years since me and the misuses tied the knot, and things aren't going so well at home. Our garden of love is shriveling up and dying, and I think this kid will be a fertilizer and bring it back to life"

"Ha!... only you backwater folks can express in terms of farming, but I suppose I could entertain your request"

"And since you will be his legal guardian, without your consent, I can't be writing about him in my report"

"Thank You ! thank you so much Sir," William said while bowing profusely.

" Yes, yes you are welcome, NOw both of you get the hell out of my office, I have so much more work to do than listen to you two blabbering all morning"

"And Anderson, take your Son with you" Captain pierce said with the faintest of smile.
