Living in a world full of "Chosen One" complexes, Sam would rather nap than actually save the world. While others slay dragons, he dodges the fights and inadvertently sends enemies tumbling off cliffs, proclaiming, "I didn't save you; I was just trying to avoid getting killed." With gods throwing him increasingly ridiculous bribes, Sam lands deep within an avalanche of paperwork and an army of overworked minions other than epic battles. But his powers manifest at the worst times-in his sleep, teleporting him out from a nap, or summoning some sort of weapon he cannot even carry. In this hysterically twisted take on the hero's journey, it could be that Sam's refusal to fit in is the thing that ultimately sets him free-and produces unexpected and absurd consequences.
