Prologue: Choices

The story begins in a nice, cozy home that anyone would think that the ones living there are among the normal sort of family, but no. This is the Yoshi residence where a young wolf named Leo lived, who is fixing his school supplies for the school enrollment. While Leo is busy fixing his things, Gumi went upstairs and called him.

"Leo! Have you already packed your things for school? We still have to enroll at what place was it again?", his mother, Gumi Yoshi called. 

"Avita Magic Academy, Mom... but I can do it on my own.", Leo looks at his mom.

"And come on... NOBODY actually said to bring their parents along. Not even for a wolf as myself!", he replied, assuring that he can do it. Not to mention he's feeling a bit embarrassed. Gumi chuckled.

"I never said I'll come along with you during the enrollment either. I'm just making sure.", she then sat down and hugs her little son.

"Of course, my little Leo's a grown-up already!", she added while giggling.

"M-MOM!", his face flustered badly, that his markings on both of his cheeks became pink. He was utterly embarrassed, but that seemed better than receiving no hugs at all. All of a sudden, Leo's mother stopped and then stood up.

"Well, I'll be serving your cheeseburger. Come down if you feel yourself hungry.", Gumi went downstairs and Leo was left alone in his room, with a smile on his face. It's really unusual for Leo to see his mother that happy, frolicking her own son, who is actually a huge shame to the entire clan his family ruled. And then he thought... 

"Whew..this is it! Tomorrow, I'll be enrolling at Gacha Academy and be an offical student of that prestigious school. This is a perfect chance to be a better individual.". Getting back into his senses, he continued fixing his things for enrollment of the said Academy.

Later on, Leo arrived at Avita Magic Academy, a prestigious school for all races, yet ordinary humans who do not possess nor practice magic are not allowed. He then approached the staff assigned at the enrollment station.

"WHAT?!", one of the staff questioned in surprise.

"Oh no, sorry... We don't accept neutral element students.", the second staff added. 

"So you mean, I can't be enrolled here?", Leo asked the two.

One of them sighed. 

"What she mean is... we have no Neutral element factions here. In any case of a student known to be neutral, he or she has to choose a faction.", the first one said.

"No other choice, sorry.", the second one added.

"We have five factions here. Those are the Water, Wind, Fire, Light, and Dark.", the first staff then gave choices.

"Now, you must choose. Well, if not based with your element you are possibly most capable of, you can have your favorite element as a basis.", the second staff said. This made Leo think.

"I must choose, huh?", he said in his mind. He has no choice. Choose an element that either he may be capable of or his perhaps his favorite element, or he wouldn't ever be able to be enrolled in Gacha Academy. Knowing in himself that he can neither choose the Fire faction nor the Light faction due to his inability to control both of them, it leads him to a huge decision that will change him forever. 

"I choose...!"
